muck
...and now for a continuation of something completely different... No trades! Short commentary! Final version to be posted on Friday. 1. San Francisco: Alex Smith, QB, Utah Mike Nolan convinces "ownership" (term loosely used) to head down a 5 year path with this pick. 2. Miami: Ronnie Brown, RB, Auburn Saban knows RW is a flake and takes the most well rounded RB in the draft. 3. Cleveland: Braylon Edwards, WR, Michigan Need some offensive playmakers in Cleveland. 4. Chicago: Derrick Johnson, LB, Texas LB tandem for several years...Urlacher and Johnson... 5. Tampa Bay: Cadillac Williams, RB, Auburn Gruden gets his "hard running RB". 6. Tennessee: Antrel Rolle, CB, Miami Best value on the board also fits a huge need. 7. Minnesota: Mike Williams, WR, USC Best value on the board also fits a big need. 8. Arizona: Carlos Rogers, CB, Auburn Best value on the board also fits a big need. 9. Washington: Pac Man Jones, CB, West Virginia Best value on the board also fits a big need. 10. Detroit: Shawne Merriman, DE/LB, Maryland Best value on the board. 11. Dallas: Alex Barron, OT, Miami Best value on the board also fits a big need. 12. San Diego: Troy Williamson, WR, South Carolina Best value on the board also fits a big need. 13. Houston: Jamaal Brown, OT, Oklahoma David Carr needs more protection and Dom Davis could use better lanes to run through. 14. Carolina: Mark Clayton, WR, Oklahoma Lots of options here; Clayton is the most "game ready" WR at the top of the draft...runs solid routes. 15. Kansas City: Erasmus James, DE, Wisconsin Carl Peterson has been telegraphing this like he did with Larry Johnson a few years ago. 16. New Orleans: Aaron Rogers, QB, Cal Aaron Brooks has one year to turn it around. 17. Cincinnati: Travis Johnson, DT, Florida State A solid player for a team pushing for the playoffs. 18. Minnesota: Cedric Benson, RB, Texas Hard nosed RB for 25 carries a game. Just what Tice wants. 19. St. Louis: Kalif Barnes, OT, Washington Maybe Bulger won't have any concussions this year... 20. Dallas: DeMarcus Ware, DE/LB, Troy Speed on defense is a good thing... 21. Jacksonville: Heath Miller, TE, Tennessee Not much value at WR and Jacksonville goes for some good value at another pass-catching position... 22. Baltimore: Matt Jones, WR/TE, Arkansas "The offensive genius" dusts off his old Minnesota playbooks... 23. Seattle: Marcus Spears, DE, LSU A team with many needs... 24. Green Bay: Thomas Davis, S, Georgia Fills a big hole. 25. Washington: Channing Crowder, LB, Florida LB with attitude and ability to go with LaVar (or to replace LaVar if LaVar is leaving soon himself) 26. NY Jets: Shaun Cody, DE/DT, USC Who knows whats going to happen to John Abraham causing problems... 27. Atlanta: Marlin Jackson, CB, Michigan Good value. 28. San Diego: David Pollack, DE, Georgia A push on the edge will be a good think when going against the AFC West offenses. 29. Indianapolis: Fabian Washington, CB, Nebraska Need more speed and better CBs for the playoffs... 30. Pittsburgh: Justin Miller, CB, Clemson Good value. 31. Philadelphia: Roddy White, WR, UAB Pinkston = pink slip 32. New England: Barrett Ruud, LB, Virginia Need help w/ offseason uncertainty. Outshined
Mind if I mock your mock? Wow..Benson falling to 18 - I think the Card would take him. But Hey if he falls to 18 - I'd be happy. Edited April 21, 2005 by Outshined
CaptainHook
Colts will not take a cornerback. They will go D-line or linebacker. Roth from Iowa is the name I keep hearing here locally. . . Swiss Cheezhead
I think it's way too close to draft day for mocks without trades. I mean, they're gonna happen. Aside from that, pretty good job, muck.
