I thought Ben was the best choice last year, and laughed when the Giants gave away so much Eli. Last year I would have ranked the QB's Roth #1, Manning #2, and Rivers #3. I think all three of them are better than anyone coming out this year.

Manning. Pedigree, improving supporting cast. Higher ceiling than Roethlisberger. Big Ben's certainly a good choice, too... but Manning potentially could produce much bigger numbers, given the offensive styles of Manning/Big Ben, respectively.

Pedigree does not make Eli a good QB. More than not, someone's brother ends up being no where near as good. I haven't been that impressed with Eli.

I haven't been all too impressed with him either. Believe me, I have ripped him pretty good in past threads. And sure, that's your opinion that pedigree means nothing. I'm sure others agree and others disagree.

As much as I've been unimpressed with him, he did show flashes, and improved to an extent towards the end of the season.

Roethlisberger, on the other hand, looked shaky towards the end of the season and during the playoffs. His supporting cast - and defense - are MUCH better than Manning's. Yeah, Roethlisberger was impressive - especially for a rookie, wow - but ... and I think this was discussed in a thread last season ... I bet ya dollars to donuts Manning would have been just as successful playing for the Steelers... my opinion, of course.
