Don't get me wrong, I'll take Clayton if he's there in the 8th or 9th and I have the need.  Usually, someone takes the 'big name' rookie WR while there are still #1 WRs or #2 WRs on high passing teams.

That is most certainly a mistake ... but if you are already through most #2's and some top #3's (Stokley, for example) then it is definitely worth the gamble if there is someone who has a legit shot.

This year, not as many stand out, but we are a ways away from the season too ... will probably be an easier choice when training camp begins and even after first preseason game or two (although that may be too late for some drafts).

1.3 - Edwards (CLE) - wouldn't be a bad pick but I would want him as a #3 at most probably a #4 because of QB situation there and new team atmosphere

1.7 - Williamson (MIN) - potential to be at least #3 .. heard some good things about him but still not worth picking up as a #2 at this point

1.10 - Williams (DET) - if Rogers goes down again I would pick him up as a #3 but only then, being away for a year and then the plethora of WR's in DET makes my gunshy on Mike

1.21 - Jones (JAX) - ??? too many ???'s in my opinion ... i probably wouldn't even take him as a flyer but i am sure some will

1.22 - Clayton (BAL) - in a decent position, BAL wants to get Boller more in a grove and more established which puts Clayton in a good position but still worthy of a low #3 WR slot ... probably one of the better picks this year without knowledge of any other training camp or preseason updates

1.27 - White (ATL) - not too big on ATL receivers ... so I wouldn't jump on selecting him

2.3 - Brown (PHI) - If Owens keeps holding out, this is at least worth looking at as a low round option. Chances of Owens sitting all season is slim to none though IMO.

2.26 - Murphy (GB) - Probably not much chance here either unless Walker continues his holdout (which doesn't seem like it will last) and/or some injuries to Ferguson or Driver.

2.29 - Jackson (SD) - This may be someone to keep an eye on possibly if Caldwell doesn't heal up well. Chargerz could probably give more insight on him. I have heard a good thing or two about him, but with LT2, Gates, and McCardell his opportunities will be limited.

Just my view of how this years WR's will shake out.
