  1. I really like this logic as it seems to ring true more and more. As a Clark rookie drafter 5 years ago, I held him and held him in my keeper league. I finally got sick of his "potential" and cut him last year. The guy that picked him up cut him before our redraft this year for the same reason. Clark sat out in the FA pool until the third week when I picked him up. After 5 years he's finally showed up. I attribute the production of Clark to several things.... 1. Marvins injuries/slowing down, he's hoarding catches 2. He's staying healthier, still has his knicks here and there though. 3. He does know the system better and better. 4. And the real reason, my number one reason truly is: He's Mannings road roommate this year. Kinda gotten lovie dovie this year too. I'm not saying anything's going on but I'm sure they lay in bed at night and "talk". <-----go back to #3
  2. Yeah, the Bryant Gumble thing on the NFL network totally blows. He really needs to go already. Collinsworth I can deal with but get rid of Bryant Gumble.
  3. I concur. They've dipped into taking 8 games from us and still have the balls for a rate increase. It's every year. And YES I do remember the old $99 days back in the 90's. Still, I can't just watch what someone thinks I should watch piped into my zone. While my poor friends and neighbors are watching some lame ass Miama/Houston game, I get to watch the game(s) I want to watch. THAT is the main appeal. I justify the cost by coming out only say $15.00 a week as opposed to the price of a real ticket and parking and food and drinks. A much better value the ticket is.
  4. Why is it that people always seem to forget about London Fletcher? London Fletcher: Linebacker ranking 16 games played unless otherwise noted. 2003 regular season ranking from NFL.COM - 13 Urlacher - 21 2004 regular season ranking from NFL.COM - 5 Urlacher - 144, 9 games played, injured 2005 regular season ranking from NFL.COM - 3 Urlacher - 13 2006 regular season ranking from NFL.COM - 3 Urlacher - 7 You can check and sort the numbers anyway you like. In my opinion, London Fletcher-Baker is vastly underated and people just seem to forget about him (my point). He really is an elite player. I'll say better than Urlacher. No disrespect intendid, Urlacher fans. His numbers across the board hold their own against any defensive player. He's just one of those players that quitely goes about doing his job.

  6. I’m one of those guys that first saw Brandon Jacobs in preseason 2005 and went “WOW, Look at the size of this guy!!” then I saw him run and I said “WOW!!", again. His body moves really well and not just for a guy his size. He’s bigger than a lot of lineman, all linebackers and forget about db’s or safeties. I’m sure he sees them as tin cans. I’ve watched him spell Tiki and come in on 1st and 10 and look HUGE, pardon the pun. I’m not really worried about his durability at all. What does concern me is his ball handling. He DOES fumble and this is my reason for thinking that if he doesn’t play, it will be because he failed to listen to Coughlin about holding the ball close and tight. Advice Tiki greatly benefitted from. He’s very tall and I have a feeling about him taking a shot to his knee though, which I hope doesn’t happen. That would be a real shame. I’d love to watch him beat and bruise in the Earl Campbell style, that’d be fun to watch. The other determining factor here is The Giants O-Line. Seriously, what have they done to help it? Eli and Jacobs definitely must be decisive. Droughns is a capable back in his own right. Should Jacobs go down, New York has a proven backup. I’ll have to go 65/35 as far as ratio goes between the 2 of them, more if Jacobs coughs it up.
  7. Ditto...I'm holding him in reserve for the start of this year. You never know, we might be able to activate him sometime this season. It's a shame what happened last year. We never got to see this kid play. I was really looking forward to seeing what he has on the pro level. No matter, when I drafted him, I knew he was a 3 year project. At least this way he should have the Giants playbook down pat. If he's really healthy and has done his homework, he might be a nice surprise this year.
  8. Well, there is still another excuse for Eli....The NY Giants did squat for offensive line help again this year. It should help Eli that Plax and Shoc are in camp but if I was them, I'd work on the pass protection brakedown scenario. And everytime that happened, I'd look right at the coaches and then the owners box if I was Eli Manning.
  9. Dynasty-Keeper leaque thought: It's funny that most leagues DON'T draft prior. I find what Billy touched on here as in the real spirit of fantasy football. The homework is the real thing that pionts to your pick. To have your pick land where you project is sweet. We always have our rookie draft before the NFL draft. It seems 99.9% of leagues don't. I think you're missing out on something otherwise. Yeah, I know, why pick a player if you don't know where he's gonna play? But lets say your pick doesn't work out right away, well, taxi him for the following year or 2 (if allowed) and see what develops. This really seems to parallel the real game nicely.
  10. I think Shanny likes what he see's also, Billy. He knows that Henry is on par with what "his guys" did, pretty much. And he was on teams that had less than stellar O-lines. The only thing that will put him in the dog house is his tendency to fumble. Shanahan HATES that. I can see 1500 yds and 15 Td's easy from Henry. And this is a middle of the road estimate. It gives Denver that feature back and settles down the position and this aids Cutler in that regard. Besides he can block, too.
  11. Well, this could be a hint at the Culpepper situation also. Personally, I'd hate to see Calvin Johnson in Oakland. It just feels bad professionally for him.
  12. Plus she (Blanco) isn't running for governor again. This is better left to another, definitely not her. 2010 is only 3 years away. It’s just breathing room for an extra year really, for all parties involved to reassess post Katrina New Orleans. But, hey, with season tickets selling out in such a small market, I’d say the advantage goes to the Saints. With all the renovations to the Superdome, I'm wondering if Benson will still push for a new stadium.
