  1. Does anyone know any players who are starters on defense but also return kicks or punts?
  2. I agree with everything you are saying. The one other piece of this puzzle is that it is a keeper league where you can keep 3 players and I would consider Moss the most keepable of all these players, assuming Brady comes back healthy next year.
  3. Who has more value for the remainder of the season? It is a PPR league with 1 point per catch, 1 point per 10 yards receiving/rushing, and 6 points per TD. Thanks.
  4. What should Colston's value be when he returns? Does he jump right back into being a first or high-second tier fantasy WR or does he have less value now that other WRs have stepped up in New Orleans?
  5. Those are good points but what about when Reggie Brown and Kevin Curtis come back? Do you think his value will be anywhere close to where it is right now? I mean he went from a late round rookie flyer to being worth more than a preseason stud in two weeks. I could see his getting much fewer looks when the other WRs return... but then again maybe not because he is doing so well.
  6. I was offered Chad Ocho Cinco for DeSean Jackson straight up in a PPR league. Jackson right now is perhaps near his peak value as Brown and Curtis will eventually come back and take some looks from him. I don't think he will always be getting 100 yard receiving games either. As for Ocho Cinco, he is at a low after playing two tough defenses. However Palmer's injury, Ocho Cinco's injury, and the overall pathetic status of the Bengals makes me wonder if this is a temporary or permanent low. Do you think that I should make the trade? Is there something I am not considering? Thanks!
  7. I take a kicker as my last pick. Inevitably some comes out of nowhere and does well (like Rackers) and generally good kickers can falter. If you pick the last kicker, you can constantly swap them out for whoever the best FA is.
  8. I am in a 12-team league where you can keep three players but they replace my picks in rounds 1-3. Scoring is set up so that all QB and RB are the most important but WR and TE are close behind. Through trades, I have the 8th and 12th picks in round 4 and the 1st pick in round 5. I am thinking about trading my 12th pick in round 4 to one team trying to unload Steven Jackson so they can go for Reggie Bush. My dilemma is that Peyton, LJ, and Gates are solid keepers and I would get 3 early picks. However Peyton, LJ, and Steven Jackson are ridiculously solid keepers, but I lose a late 4th round pick. In my league, by the late fourth round, WRs are going and it is usually hit or miss on quality so I don't think I am losing a critical pick. By my estimate, here is what I think my team would look like either way: Without the trade Peyton LJ Dunn Roy Williams Driver Mason Gates With the trade Peyton LJ Jackson Driver Mason Matt Jones Winslow I MIGHT be able to trade Gates and Julius Jones (who I also have) to another team so I get some compensation for them, but even if I don't, do you think that I should make the trade?
  9. Yeah, what he said. Definitely keep Alexander.
  10. I know who I think will have a better year but I want to see what other people think.
  11. I actually won the league last year and was stacked. I already traded Rudi Johnson and Boldin for a 4th round pick. I ended the season with Peyton, Boldin, DJackson, Driver, Andre Johnson, LJ, JJ, Rudi, and Gates. I guess that sorta helps to make a winning team. Alrighty, it looks like Gates is the winner. Now to see if I can unload Jones.
  12. If this is a keeper league where you keep ALL of your players, then go for Drew. I went to UCLA and saw Drew every weekend. He was good but he wasn't amazing. Marcedes Lewis WAS awesome. DeShaun Foster was awesome. Drew was just so-so. But with Fred Taylor ahead of him on the depth charts, he could be a starter soon.
  13. I am in a 12-team keeper league. I am drafting 12th and I am keeping LJ and Peyton as my first two keepers. I am trying to decide on who should be my 3rd keeper which would be the 36th overall pick (last pick of 3rd round). Something also to consider is that in this league, you cannot select bench players until starters are filled and there are only 2 starting RB positions so no one can hoarde up on RB until late rounds. Scoring is: Rushing Yards (10 yards per point; 2 points at 150 yards) Rushing Touchdowns (6) Receptions (1) Reception Yards (20 yards per point; 2 points at 150 yards) Reception Touchdowns (6) So here is the question: Do I keep Antonio Gates or Julius Jones? I could say pick Gates because he is the obvious #1 TE and I won't have to worry about TE's all year. My concern would be picking up a 2nd RB in round 4 though. I predict that my best available RBs will be in the category of K. Jones and W. Parker at best and Dillon, Lewis, Dunn, and Foster at worse. I could probably get someone like Foster or Benson as a backup, but I could potentially have a question mark at RB2 all year. I could say Jones because he could do very well this year and RB is always a premium. Though Larry Allen is gone and Barber is still around, he now is healthy and has TO to spread the defenses. Let me know what you think please.
  14. Something I think I should explain better is the significance of "the fact that we draft the league with Yahoo Autopick style rules where you cannot pick up a backup player until you have filled every starting spot." By round 3, almost every team will have their 2 RB and they cannot get a third until round 15. As such, I can pick up about the 20th best RB in round 4 or wait until round 14 and pick up the 24th best RB who would be about the same. I definitely want to keep keep Manning just for the consistancy factor. With Manning, I never have to have another QB on my roster except for the bye week. The same with Gates. If I drop Rudi, I can then load up on upside RB. I do appreciate the Manning opinion though. I think he will rebound this year a bit, especially if he plays during the last two games. That has to be considered in his point totals. The Colts might not be as dominant this year.
