I remember five years ago, when Sean Taylor died, Kyle started him for nearly a month.
No one wanted him booted because he was busy as hell with school. Life happens sometimes and it sounds like Shelton is going through a hell of a rough patch. I don't like that a vote was brought up so quick without enough discussion or questions being asked.

That incident is exactly why I decided to add "almost always" to the end of my post.
I had a lot going on at that time - enough for me to not even be able to think about FF. You took me to task on it in AFL, outlined all of the reasons that I did above, and it hasn't happened since.

Sorry for your losses Shelton, truly. None of that is easy to deal with, and you have all of our sympathies.
But when other people are putting in their time and money, there has to be a level of accountability; you needed to speak up early on, find a way to make it work, or excuse yourself from the league - and you didn't do any of those things. Hopefully none of the games' outcomes were directly affected by this, but that doesn't change the fact that they could have been.
I'm not standing on my soapbox claiming to be the most active owner, because most people here will tell you I'm far from it. I've had my share of busy or tough days where fantasy football has been the last thing on my mind - but I've almost always found a way to meet the minimum requirements for competing.
I don't know how inclined I am to penalize a team that is already at the bottom of the league. It seems a little counterintuitive.

I will second the motion for a vote.
