  1. Okay, guys. Give me some feedback. Lamont Jordan has sucked all year, with the exception of the Browns game. Addai faces the Pats tonight. Who should I have starting?
  2. don't do it. you are giving up way too much. Fitz and CJ have underachieved so far, and I don't anticipate that much seperation between them (barring injury) at the end of the year. The combo of Plax + KJ or Maroney for Jackson is just too much, in my opinion. Maroney may be getting the lions-share of the carries by years end. If it were me, I would keep the guys you have.
  3. partial keeper (1 per position), performance scoring Bulger (k) Rivers, Phil Warner, Kurt Droughns, R Harrison, Jerome Jacobs, Brandon Larry Johnson (k) Taylor, Fred Bennett, Drew Boldin, Anquan (k) Clayton, Mike Jackson, Chad Jennings, Greg Johnson, Andre Pope, Leonard Winslow, Kellen (k) Wilkins, Jeff (k) Bears (k) I drafted 12 out of 12 teams. Surprised to be 4-0, especially with LJ struggling early.
  4. Great job. Wonder how that championship is going to feel? Don't feel guilty, take them to the cleaners.
  5. complete tool. It will be interesting to see who the next team will be that drinks the T.O. cool-aid and ruins their season. the dude is an a$$hat. I hope he blows the cowboys up just like he did the 49ers and Iggles. Somebody has got to put this guy in his place.
  6. the M. Clayton, is that Michael or Mark? your season is on the brink, depending on how you answer...
  7. I hope that Parcells finally puts this dickweed in his place. And then I hope that he plays himself out of the league. Any team that takes on this drama queen deserves whatever they get. T.O. sucks.
  8. +1 I tend to evaluate the fairness of trades based on 1. any collusion 2. will it unbalance the league? 3. a firesale at the end of the year by a team out of it. Any of these 3 make it a case for review. If you put it to a league vote, at least then you can say "Well, you guys voted to let it go through..." However, if you vote, and the trade is still allowed, is that going to make anybody feel better? One of the things I have found is that my owners are sometimes hesitant to vote down something, but then want to B(*&% about it later. Good luck. Let us know what you decide.
  9. I can see Palmer not hitting the field until after the bye. Palmer himself has already acknowledged that the biggest hurdle for him to clear will be mental. There is just something about getting out there after that type of injury, and throwing your body around or having bodies thrown at you. I think that Palmer will "disappoint" this year, based on expectations from last years performance. I can see him having 20-25 TDs, but being gunshy in the pocket, resulting in 15-20 ints.
  10. Yep, they are idiots. Can't stand owners in my league that use every opportunity that arises to try and screw somebody else. Put your foot down as commish, reroll to break the tie, and move on. It's screwed up when you have to think of a rule to cover EVERY conceivable situation. Sometimes common sense should come into play.
  11. Yes, you protect only one player at each position. Westie would simply be insurance against injury of his keeper during the preseason (keepers are declared late), or trade value.
  12. Offer currently on the table is Westbrook and 1.08 for Ronnie Brown I still have 1.05 and 3.08 pick (traded 2nd round pick earlier). Now that I am writing this, I think I am giving up too much. Any thoughts?
  13. assuming that you start 2 rbs and 2 to 3 wrs, I would keep LJ and edge and TO. I think TO will outperform Boldin, and other than trade bait and depth, what good will a third RB on the bench do you? Having TO out there every week performing will be worth more in the long run than a third RB on the bench scoring points that don't count.
  14. Keeper League, 1 player at each position QB, RB, WR, TE, PK, and Def Performance scoring. My rosters RBs include Kevin Jones, Brian Westbrook, and Cedric Benson (main RBs). I also hold picks 1.05 and 1.08 in the upcoming draft. As of right now, I am leaning to keep Jones, as I feel that he will (hopefully) do better this year and live up to the expectations. If Benson takes over in Chicago, then he will probably end up as my backup keeper option, with Westbrook coming in third. My question is this: Another owner in the league has Portis, Julius Jones, and Ronnie Brown, of which he can only keep 1 (probably Portis, then Brown). This owner picks at 1.03. Should I trade the 1.05 and 1.08 picks to this owner for Brown and 1.03? (if he will even go for it). Or propose to send him Westbrook and 1.08 for Brown? Would I be giving up too much? My thinking is that Brown has more value than KJ, Westie, or Benson, but that he will probably opt to keep Portis. If I can obtain Brown and pick at 1.03 or 1.05, then my backfield should be pretty strong. Or should I keep the two first round picks and just get the best player (at 1.05, my choices would include J. Jones, Dom Davis, Rudi Johnson, McGahee, Brown, Tater Bell, to name a few; I feel that RJ, McGahee, Brown and maybe Davis or J. Jones will go 1-4). Sorry for rambling.
  15. Ummm....No. Pass on Galloway and go for someone like MeShawn, Porter, Burleson, or similar ilk in the 5th or 6th. I think Galloway falls back to earth this year. I don't expect his running mate, Clayton, to have as an abysmal year as last, thus taking receptions and TDs away from Joey Football.
