  1. HAHAHAHA.........1 year later and I finally get to say I TOLD YOU SO!!! Just Ramblin Kabal152
  2. I have never seen a board with as many dumb responses to an obscure post featuring an obscure player. I am not looking at half of any situation. Fred Jackson played well in two games. I happened to catch them both (Thanks Sunday Ticket and Super Fan). For all the MLynch owners, Jackson is the handcuff, not Wright. In the response above, some lady placed Tom Brady and Matt Cassell in the same sentence!!! If Lynch goes down, I think you may actually be able to survive with Fred Jackson. Yeah your team is taking a sizeable hit, but your season won't come to a grinding halt. He seems like a capable backup and a decent insurance policy for Lynch. Look, if you have Brady and he goes down and they are forced to replace him with Matt Cassell, kiss your azz, money and season goodbye!!! Although, I am sure when Drew Bledsoe busted up his lungs a few years ago and Brady had to take over , gloom and doom was in the forecast. How did that turn out THIS IS WHY THEY CALL THEM SLEEPERS Carry On Fellas
  3. I can not believe my post about Fred Jackson has garnered so much interest . Look out for my next post. Arnez Battle.........Is he the next Jerry Rice????
  4. What you are asking me to do is illegal playa. Smarten up. Read the title Homie, it's SUPER DUPER SLEEPER. I am not inducting the dude into the Hall of Fame, he's just on my watch list. Now you are as well. I am sending your name to the 3 letter boys. They will be in touch.
  5. If nothing else, 2007, proved NFL depth charts are loaded with talented back up RBs. Some obscure afterthought stepped in and carried the franchise. See the following teams last year: Green Bay - Took awhile to get to Grant. Indy - Kenton Keith was cool Giants - Bradshaw and Ward made the Super Bowl possible Cincy - Kenny Watson was aight KC - Kolby Smith Tampa - Ernest!!! And Buffalo - to a lesser degree. You ever have an obscure player that for some reason catches your eye. Every time I saw Fred Jackson last year, he was moving the sticks. Now i know Lynch is firmly entrenched as the starter and rightly so, however when everyone was screaming D. Wright last year, Jackson clearly outplayed him. I drafted Lynch last year and he went down (I WAS SCRAMBLIN), Fred Jackson looked very good against a decent Washington team and well, the Dolphins. He only played 7 games but he caught 22 balls (4 more than Lynch) and ran for damn near 200 combined yards in those 2 starts. I can definately see him getting some attention this season. As a runner I watched him very closely in the games against the Skins and Fins and he actually looked more explosive "dare i say" than Lynch. If Lynch goes down, I think Jackson will be able to fill in quite admirably. So if you draft Lynch you can probably get away with picking up FJax on the waiver wire, cuz i don't think anyone was really paying attention last year to Mr. Jackson and you know what, they should have. 6. I am leaning toward Bell. I know the match up is tough but Denver is at home. I think the Colts are going to light up the board but I believe most of the scoring will be of the ariel variety. I think they (the colts) will be trying to boost Wayne and Harrison's TD numbers. You just can not dismiss the Addai factor. He seems to be getting more and more work, especially in the passing game. I think Rhodes and Addai split goaline carries last week. Addai just seems more explosive. I know Bell is no stud and who knows when Shanahan will start giving more carries to the Mike Bell. I mean this could be the week Mike Bell gets 20 plus carries. Damn this a tough choice!! As i am writing this I am starting to lean toward Rhodes. Maybe I will sit them both and go with Droughns. At this point I don't know who I am going to start. WHO THE H*LL DO I START??? Thanks for any and all help league scoring = standard 1 ppr 1 pt per 10 carries
  7. I am 1 and 2. Notched my first win last week. I face a hungry 0 and 3 squad. 6 pt per td pass and 1 pt per 25 yards pass. 1 pt every 10 completions -1 pt per 10 incompletions Steve McNair going up against the Chargers. Grossman vs the Seahawks. It will probably be a game time decision for me, but I am leaning towards McNair. Both Grossman and McNair are at home. Both are facing nasty defenses. Grossman will probably be missing Clark and Heap (as always) is banged up. Seattle won't be the same team without Alexander but I don't think they were going to be able to run on the Bears much anyway. This is the prove it game for Grossman. He showed something last week when he threw the late TD to Davis. Especially after tossing the two picks. My other potential starters RB Steven Jackson RB Dom Rhodes or Ruben Droughns (T. Bell is my other starter. He's on a bye) WR C. Chambers WR L. Fitzgerald WR Roy Williams TE T. Heap K Josh Brown DEF/ST Saints Thanks
  8. I don't think there is anyway Fitzgerald and Boldin will match last years numbers with Matt Leinart starting. A rookie is a rookie. I am hoping this isn't true and Warner stays in. If Lienart starts I see this as a throw in the towel season for for the Cards. Let the youth movement begin. 8 or 10 games down the road Matt might be OK but who has that long to wait for some decent productivity. Out of all the QBs drafted this year I think Lienart was the most mature and NFL ready but he is still a rookie and will be confused by NFL defenses. Unless this guy is Dan Marino (he aint, arm strength not withstanding) this move is not good for Fitz, Boldin and Edge owners. This means max protect, with Edge staying in to block, shorter routes for the WRs, AZ gets very conservative as Lienart gets comfortable. I tell you right now I am going to put Fitz on the block to see what the other guys in my league are willing to deal in order to get him. This is not a positive move for guys that have Cardinals on their rosters.
  9. They are reporting cramps for Tatum Bell
  10. Yeah but the trainers weren't working on Bell's shoulder or anything. Or did I miss it?? I thought I saw him taking a drink on the sideline. Fingers crossed that T. Bell is cool.
  11. Hey Chi-Town any word on the extent of Clark's injury???? I drafted Heap and I picked up Desmond Clark 2 weeks ago. Wasn't sure about Heap's status and I couldn't wait until the 4:00 games today to make a decision about Heap. Wasn't sure if he was even going to suit up. So of course I went with Clark. Dude looks pretty good........ until he limps off the friggin field!!!!!!!! The 4:00 games roll around and you know what happens HEAP SCORES. Not a great game but a trip to the endzone is still a trip to the endzone. Anybody got any word on Clark. If the early indication points to him coming back quickly (knowing me he is done for the 06 campaign) I will pass on Eric Johnson. I know the guys in my league are going to go crazy over Johnson this week.
  12. Raven team bus accident, I smell Omen. I guess I am going to start rex and Clark. Fingers crossed.
  13. Mortensen just gave his game day injuries but Heap's name wasn't mentioned. What the Dilly
  14. Excellent response. Damn Heap.....Ravens Browns is a friggn 4:05 game My other option Desmond Clark is going at 1:00 (I know no info will be available by decision making time) I'm already sitting at 0 and 2 I am playing the team in my league that has thus far scored the most points byyyyyyy farrrrrrr (only week 2 I keep telling myself......so just relax big guy) My QB options are McNair and Grossman. Since I am going with Clark I will take a flyer on Grossman See ya
  15. I also think he's one of the best in the game...
