  1. Yeah, the Bucs will win. Time for the Saints to fade back into the mediocrity they are so accustomed to.
  2. If you insist. So who is Oakland's 3rd WR? Should I play him this week against the Browns?
  3. Taylor had only 4 carries in the 2nd half yesterday and only 1 in the 4th quarter. On the Jags final scoring drive, only Drew-Jones and Pearman were used -- with Fred no where to be seen. Was he injured, tired, or is he just losing his starting spot? In any case, looking more and more like RBBC in Jax, which sucks because Taylor had been one of my few bright spots in the first 2 weeks.
  4. I don't think you should be commish. A commish should have enough ethics not to pursue such a one-sided trade.
  5. Chester Taylor v. Chicago or Reggie Williams v. Indy? PPR league.
  6. I went to pick Williams up but someone else in my league had already snatched him, and his 2 receptions for 18 yards, up. Dang. There goes my season.
  7. Come on, Jags. One good hit to the mid section...
  8. The guy had been thrown to 19 times in the last 2 games, catching 14 of them.
  9. I had him in too. I never once saw his number 84 in the game. They just didn't play him as far as I can tell.
  10. I'm hurting too. Had Cad Williams, Joe Horn, and Darrell Jackson all out last week. Eli's bye week, so I had to start A Brooks too, who really sucks this year. And looks like I lost T Jones for a really nice matchup against Minnesota this week, if not longer. Topping it off, looks like the Willie Parker party is over. What was looking like a really nice season a couple of weeks ago looks like crap now.
  11. In a my 12 team league, most weeks the defense playing the Vikings or Texans won't be available. And at $5 per pickup, it's not cheap either. As for the rest of it, as stated, in my league, defense is a significant player. The differential between a good one and an average one is easily 5 or 6 points per game on average. I don't need another RB, WR, or TE. But I do need a defense. I have Cadillac, Willie Parker, Thomas Jones, Chad Johnson, Joe Horn, Darrell Jackson. Of this group, I need only start 1 RB and WR, with 2 flex. Didn't feel like waiting around for KJ to maybe come around so he could maybe put up numbers close to 2 of the RBs I already have, all the time losing 5-10 points a week from my crappy defenses. It's a 12 team league and even with trading KJ, I still have the deepest roster at RB/WR in my league.
  12. You're welcome, big sack. BTW, what are you a big sack of?
  13. To give you an idea, in the first 2 weeks, my defenses scored a combined 5 points for me. The Jets got me 3 points in week 1 (gainst Miami), and the Lions got me 2 points against the Bears last week. The Bucs, on the other hand scored 18 points in week 1 and 20 in week 2. Trading a disappointing RB for a good defense makes sense for me. Still, I may end up regretting it.
  14. Defense is a pretty significant player in my league. We give bonuses for low yards and points, as well as turnovers, sacks and scores. A top D will score as much as a decent starting WR will -- averaging in the 12-16 points a week range. A bad D will get you 4-8 points a week, so there's a big differential between the top defenses and the bottom.
