  1. Any word on Freddy Keiaho? I saw he practiced yesterday but hes listed as questionable?
  2. FoxSports.com's John Czarnecki reports that Tim Hightower is expected to start against the Rams
  3. 10/26: FOX Sports’ John Czarnecki thinks that Steven Jackson is “85 percent not to play” due to his quad injury. The Rams have said publicly that he’s likely a game-time decision.
  4. 10/14: The Chargers nearly traded for Michael Bush before the deadline before the Raiders pulled the offer off the table at the last minute, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. It is believed the Chargers would have surrendered a second-day pick in the deal.
  5. 10/11: Dan Orlovsky (ankle, knee) is not a sure bet to start at quarterback in Week 6, even though Jon Kitna has been ruled out, MLive.com reports. The backup split reps throughout the week with Drew Stanton, and Orlovsky suffered left knee and ankle injuries last week. If he looks gimpy on Sunday morning, the Lions might opt for the more mobile Stanton.
  6. Matt Hasselbeck (QB) 10/10: There is a "good chance" that Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck will be unable to play in the team's Week 6 contest against the Packers, according to Mike Sando of ESPN.com.
  7. Scheffler (groin) may also be evaluated for a sports hernia, which could be more serious than the initial diagnosis of a strained left groin, the Rocky Mountain News reports.
  8. There’s a growing faction in Foxborough that believes rookie QB Kevin O’Connell should be considered for the starting job if Matt Cassel continues to struggle. Having started four years at San Diego State, O’Connell’s playing experience actually trumps Cassel’s, and his teammates have perhaps more trust in him than they do in Cassel, a fourth-year Patriot. As one team source told us, “You know (the players) aren’t crazy about Matt when the best they say about him is that he’s ‘enthusiastic.’ No team wants a glorified cheerleader running their offense.”
  9. 10/2: Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will probably not be able to play on Sunday unless his shoulder makes dramatic improvements the next two days, according to John Clayton of ESPN.com.
  10. Cardinals | Boldin says he is doing OK Tue, 30 Sep 2008 16:19:04 -0700 Darren Urban, of AZCardinals.com, reports Arizona Cardinals WR Anquan Boldin (head) made an appearance at the team's facility Tuesday, Sept. 30, and said he was doing OK. He appeared to have a slightly swollen jaw.
  11. Willis McGahee may not be able to play in the Ravens contest Monday night against the Steelers because of his swollen eye, according to the Baltimore Sun. "As long as he can see, he'll play. But if he can't, he's not going to be able to play. So, we'll have to try to get that swelling down," said Ravens coach John Harbaugh.
  12. 9/24: Earlier reports said that LaDainian Tomlinson might actually have a whole week of practice. Well, that didn’t happen because on Wednesday, LT didn’t practice, according to Chargers.com.
  13. The Eagles have filed their Wednesday participation report, and they have disclosed that neither quarterback Donovan McNabb (chest) nor running back Brian Westbrook (ankle) practiced today, three days after suffering in-game injuries against the Eagles.
  14. Favre was noticeably limping after the game as he walked toward the middle of the field. Sure, he has shrugged off injuries in the past to continue his string of 13,456 straight NFL starts. But he’s older than he’s ever been (aren’t we all?), and sooner or later he won’t be able to recover so quickly from the aches and pains of life in the NFL.
  15. Beat writer Mike Preston guesses that Ray Rice will start in the Ravens' three-man committee this week.
