  1. I will preface this by saying that I have read the grand jury indictment...and I think that Sandusky needs to be drug out onto the field at Happy Valley and castra*** nevermind..I pary for the victims and their families in this case as these kids had their innocence taken away from them by someone who should be shot.. Here is the issue I have with this...everyone is saying that Joe should have done more..and should have followed up on this..and should have reported this to the proper authorities.. but the question I have is..how do we know he didnt do this? First off he heard of the incident from McQuerey...and then the next day he reported it to Curley (the AD who IS Joe's boss), and Schultz (who is the HEAD OF CAMPUS POLICE, which in this case has jurisdiction in any legal matters on university grounds. This is the EXACT chain of command that was put in place by THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES who obiviously have enough power to fire JoePa and the University President. So Joe follows the proper chain of command and then what if in the ensuing days, Joe follows up with Schultz and Schultz comes back with the reply.."Dont worry Joe its under investigation, and being taken care of by us and the board of trustees?? Again..in hindsight Joe should have followed up more if he saw Sandusky on campus in the following years...but noone knows if he again went to Schultz or Curley and they came back to him and said the matter has been taken care of by the board of trustees... There were allegations of Sandusky committing these heinous acts back in 1999, and the appointed "heir apparent" was told by Joe that his opportunity to be head coach was never to happen and that the 55 year old Sandusky should accept early retirement. In 32 years Joe with Sandusky on staff had 31 winning seasons. In the five years after Sandusky Penn State had 1 winning season and this same board of trustees wanted to force Joe out then because they thought he lost his edge... Joe pushed Sandusky out back then and the board of Trustees brought Sandusky back in. Yes the same board of trustees who gave Sandusky his severance package in 1999 which included his office and phone in the football facility. They also gave him full campus access and allowed him to continue to be affiliated with his Second Mile program.. Sandusky was out of the football program in 1999 and yet the Board gave him this and allowed him to be back on campus..NOT JOE...You can say everything you want about Sandusky beign allowed on campus even as late as last week. Well this was a perk given to him in the package he got fromthe board of trustees..NOT JOE..Is it Joe's job to babysit to see if Sandusky is on any of the campuses across PA? Why aren't the same questions being asked of these board of trustee members?? why are people not asking them to do more...follow up more? Again..Im not saying that Joe is not entirely at fault here and this whole situation makes me sick to my stomach as I am a PSU grad and it will take a whole lot of time to be proud of PSU again....there are a lot of facts that remain unclear at this time..I think Joe really needs to come out and answer the question of ".why did he continue to allow or look the other way when Sandusky continued to use the football facilities? He could have/should have pulled the plug on that years ago".. that is something that I am still wondering about and hoping that he addresses this sooner rather than later.. .the problem I have is if anyone watched the coverage last night on ESPN, all you saw was Joe's name on the screen and how this is a disgrace on Joe...and while some of that is true..Joe was not the one who did this!! Not one time was the focus on the monster who committed these acts...Joe didn't commit any crimes and yet thats not the message that was given last night..
  2. I had to have Jackie Battle in my lineup to fill in for an injured McGahee... and if that isnt scary enough I need 10 points from Mr Battle to win this week.
  3. I need about 350 yards and 3 TD's from Rice to go along with 150 yards and 10 catches... Im not asking too much am i?? I had the Joy of facing both Foster and Brees yesterday...not good
  4. I faced this guy when he had a career day...I aslo faced Wes Welker on his 16 catch 260 yard performance..needless to say I lost both weeks... check back in with who I am playing against this week as they are destined to have a career day
  5. I have had a pretty dismal season so far hit with injuries, underachieving players and bad luck.. Currently I am 4 - 6 and probably going to miss the playoffs in my keeper league. The question I have is the value of the Caddy? Frankly I am sick of the situation in TB especially with Mike "freaking" Alstott pulling his Jerome Bettis impersonation and stealing goalline carries away from Caddy (its funny that I had to deal with this SAME type of situation last year when I had Duce Staley.. Im sick of the TD stealing paid friends!!!) Anyway I need advice on weather Caddy is worth keeping for next year. Here is my lineup that I had to piece together.. QB's D McNabb and M Brunnel RB's Ahman Green (on IR), Sam Gado, Caddy Williams, Marion Barber WR Roy Williams , Donte Stallworth, Bobby Engram, Reggie Brown(I dropped Mike Clayton after suffering with him for 9 weeks) Im not going to list TE or K because I have no plans of keeping either of them.. What are your suggestions? Any help would be appreciated because this by far has been the most frustrating season to date.. My advice NEVER draft a Detroit lion or TB buc EVER again..
  6. I started him ONLY because Donte Stallworth was on a bye..otherwise I woul dhave missed his "breakout" performance.. Ill leave him in the starting lineup but I guarantee he will fall back to his 1 catch for 16 yrds weekly average..
  7. I live in St Louis and so far both Holt and Bulger have practiced Tues and Wednesday.. Word from here is that this is the biggest week in terms of the season for the Rams. They need to win this game if they have any shot of winning the division or even making the playoffs.. Buldger said his shoulder feels great and the Rams are not letting him lift weights the rest of the season so he doesn't risk injuring it again. Holt on the other hand ran routes at full speed and the reporters covering the rams are saying his cuts look really sharp. The bye week has helped mend a lot of ailments and I would look for a big game out of both players this week. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND that this is not written in stone..I am just getting this information from the sports radio guys covering the rams practice sessions. Things have a way of changing with this team...
  8. I would go with LT and Thomas Jones...Jones has been a stud in resent weeks and put up great numbers last week again.. With Caddy you may only get 2 or 3 qtrs out of him before they shut him down because they are up by 30 points. With TJ you will get the full load of carries and the game should be a lot closer so he will play in the entire game.
  9. I have caddy and I am going with him cause I don't own pittman. I am just hoping I can get at least 3 productive quarters out of him.. I am praying caddy gets 100 and 1 TD.. Heck that should be a reward from the fantasy gods for the amount of game time decisions I have had to deal with from the Caddy this year.
  10. The only reason I would make this deal is if you were hurting for a descent backup at the RB position in case of injury or bye week replacements. (By the way I WOULD KILL FOR YOUR GROUP OF STARTING RB's) I have had to deal with the ??? surrounding Caddy week to week wether he would play or not. When healthy the tandem of Alexander and Caddy should take you deep into the playoff. And it looks like you are well stocked at WR especially with TJ being healthy again. Like the old saying goes...if it aint broke don't fix it..
  11. I hate the injury bug...For some reason now that R WIlliams is out agian this week, M Williams is the only healthy receiver Det has so I am leaning towards him over Clayton... Thanks for the advice so far.. Anyone else want to add to this?
  12. My team has been obliterated with injuries this year. I lost A Green, have dealt with all the issues with Caddy (though it looks like he may finally play this week), Roy Williams will miss this week and has missed the last 3 games with a quad injury, M Clayton TB has been a complete BUST. But somehow I have pieced together a 3-4 season. Here is my roster. QB's (Only start 1) 6 pts for pass/Rush TD, 1 pt every 25 yrds pass D McNabb vs Den M Brunell vs NJ Giants Thinking of starting him RB (Must start 2) 6 pts for pass/rush TD, 1 pt every 10 rush and pass yards M Moore vs Car Thinking of starting him Caddy vs SF Thinking of starting him M Barber vs Ari F Gore vs TB WR (Must start 3) 6 pts for rec/rush TD, 1 pt for every 10 yrds receiving. M Clayton vs SF Thinking of starting him D Gabriel vs TEN Thinking of starting him M Williams vs CHI D Stallworth vs MIA Thinking of starting him SO I ask all of you who are way smarter than I... Who would you start? I need advice here. Any help would be appreciated
  13. Need advice on who you all would start at QB this week. The league awards the following points for performance: 6 pts for a passing/rushing TD 1 pt for every 20 yards passing 5 pt bonus for passing over 300 yards 10 pt bonus for passing over 350 yards 1 point for every 10 yards rushing Based on this scoring system I have the following QB's M Brunnel vs San Fran D McNabb vs San Diego Who would you start? I cannot believe this but I am leaning towards starting Brunel versus a poor SF secondary I think he can light up. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
