  1. If I threw in a bit more (some draft picks maybe) I could try to spring for Torry Holt. The other owner is looking to get rid of either of the two I think.
  2. Coles should be more valuable with Pennington gone, IMO. Clemens has a stronger arm, and Coles gets plenty of long-ball opportunities. Curtis has been fairly inconsistent so far, and that would make me want Coles on the team. Also, I would much rather have Coles than Galloway. You could try to offer him Engram, but I doubt he'll accept. He could probably get more value for Coles from someone else in the league. You could try to offer him Engram for Galloway. Hackett and Branch should be back after the bye, so Engram's value will plummet, anyways.
  3. It looks like Dunn's value is going to continue to drop (it seems like every week that Petrino mentions that they are trying to get Norwood more involved), and DeAngelo might start to see at least half the carries in Carolina after his solid game right before the bye. IMO, Dunn is not worth having on a roster. Pick up Williams and hope that he starts to see more playing time.
  4. I've been offered Colston for Shaun Alexander in a dynasty league, and I'm leaning towards taking the offer, but I'd like some other opinions before I do. It is a dynasty league and both players would probably be keepers as far as I can tell this early in the season anyways. My RB/WRs are: LT, Henry, S. Young, Foster, D. Williams, Norwood, Bennett Wayne, Boldin, Colston, Galloway, Ginn We start 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 Flex My thoughts: I'm worried that Colston's career is going to follow the Michael Clayton path, and I'm more than happy to get rid of him while his value is decent. However, I'm pretty deep at RB as it is, and Alexander's career seems to be grinding to a halt this year now that he doesn't have a ridiculous O-Line to make him look good; plus, he seems satisfied and unmotivated now that he's got his retirement contract. The Seahawks are decreasing his touches and he isn't running hard. Still, he has a bye week to help his wrist heal (I'm hoping that's at least part of the reason he sucks) and the boos he's been getting in Seattle seem to be getting to him, so there's a chance he steps it up a bit. With all that said... would you keep Colston, or would you trade him for Alexander?
  5. I'd go with Kevin and Thomas Jones in a PPR league. Even if it isn't, the Colts D is playing well right now, and Foster is risky to start after DeAngelo's good game before the bye. Most RBs should be benched against the Steelers this year... especially those coming back from injury who are incredibly likely to split time, at best.
  6. I think he's too risky to start this week. I've got both him and DeShaun Foster, and I'm in a situation where I have to start one of them. I'm leaning towards DeShaun so far. DeAngelo is the better RB by far, but he can't score points if he never gets the opportunity.
  7. I would definitely take the trade. You're plenty deep at RB, and I can only see Jordan's value decreasing as the year goes on. I'd hope that Stallworth gets completely healthy at some point and starts being the #2 receiver he's supposed to be. Especially with no PPR for RBs, I don't feel like Jordan is worth as much as Stallworth.
  8. I would sit tight on Big Ben. He's playing on the same level as Palmer this year, and the Redskins seem to be improving their play on offense every week. I'd take the Ben/Portis side of that trade.
  9. Last I heard, he was throwing in practice without any discomfort at all, and I believe he will be the starter this week. That said... for Kitna's bye week, I am starting 2-time NFL MVP and Super Bowl XXXIV MVP Kurt Warner.
  10. The Giants should be your starting Def over ANYBODY this week. A D-Line capable of a ton of sacks? Joey Harrington? An undrafted rookie free agent making his first ever start at LT? A sophomore 5th-round pick making HIS first ever start at RT? The only way this gets better is if Joey gets pulled for Leftwich again... then the Giants will be able to force a ton more fumbles to go along with the sacks. Also, from what I hear, the home field advantage in the Georgia Dome is almost non-existant. I hate to sell out on my own team here, but it does NOT look good. I would say that I'm just hoping for the 1st overall draft pick at this point, but the Rams look to be giving us a run for our money... plus, it's still nice to see the team win from time to time.
  11. If Willis McGahee is still playing football, then Deuce can too.
  12. Sure, but how the heck is he going to fit bruschi in there?
  13. Actually, it's still being discussed because someone created a thread titled "Any Vick apologists left out there?", so your answer seems to be incorrect. The receivers are catching balls a lot better. That probably had a lot to do with how hard Vick threw a lot of balls, and probably a bit with coaching and veteran receiver presence as well. Regardless, the Falcons are 1-3 with Harrington as their starter. How can you possibly say the team is better with Joey at QB? Have you seen ANY of the falcons' games this year? They looked like a dejected high school team in their first three games. I can't argue that the team is doing a much better job of passing the ball, but that's a far cry from saying that the falcons, as a whole, are playing any better than a bottom-ten team.
