Ok, so I pretty much have gotten ST Max Free every year, or at worst have paid about $80 for it.. So I made my yearly call just now, said I want to cancel ST Max due to price and working on Sundays.. Best offer she made was $35.99 x 6 months for STM, I said thats still to expensive, if nothing better I will cancel, so she went ahead and canceled my ST Max. After I hung up, thought I would come here, and see if everyone is still getting the deals as usual, quick read here, and quick read on FBG and knew I needed to call back.. I decided I didnt want to go the whole cancel service and set up a disconnect date just yet, so I decided to followed a post on page 2 here from Frenzal, and call and ask if I was under contract... Which I knew I wasnt, same exact thing, asked about contract, she said no, I said ok thanks so If i cancel or switch service there will no charge correct.. blah blah, she says yes but why would you look to cancel... I said I just canceled ST Max due to price, and its the only reason I was with DTV so I will check prices for Verizon and so on... She immediately said she has no leeway with ST at all, but she can see what she can do for me... She offered me $75 a month off my bill for 12 months... I took the offer, I then said well if im sticking with DTV Id like to have ST Max, and I will take it for the $35.99 price the other person offered me, she said yes no problem.. So instead of just giving me the ST Max for free, the brain trust at DTV decided to pay me $900 for the year, then charge me $215 for ST Max, paying me a diff of $685 for the year... I also still have the usual discounts on my bill on top of the $75/month, which are the: $10 off SPORTS PACK for 6 months (6 of 6) $7 off CINEMAX for 6 months (6 of 6) $7 off HBO for 6 months (6 of 6) $7 off SHOWTIME for 6 months (6 of 6) $7 off STARZ for 6 months (6 of 6) I think this is my best deal yet, Ive negotiated them actually paying me before... Oh and I didnt call retention either time, regular number, when prompted first call, said "cancel ST", when prompted 2nd call said "possible cancelation"

Actually to check back in on this, I had just looked at my recent activity online, it seems they charged me $176 for ST MAX, then also added on a ST MAX $10/6month credit, so in the end its costing me $116 for it.

It was a bit of a fight this year, called the first time and was only offered 15% off and it was a basic take it or leave it.. Called back and said cancel service, told the 1st rep im really annoyed and want cancel, transferred me to cancelation services, they looked up and saw that I got ST Max for free last year, and really didn't want to budge. I basically said I have no issue signing up for Verizon Triple play for $90.. Best I could get was 50% of ST Max, which I took considering I got it free last year. I already have the premium channel discounts, and a $15 for 15 month discount.

Well I definitely have egg on my face lol. Looked at my bill online and had a nice charge of $54.99 for NFL ST. Called up and told them I was told it was gonna be free, she told me I had spoke to the CRG department (assuming Cusomer Retention Group) last time, and would transfer me to them. The lady in CRG said she's sorry that they gave me the impression It would be free this year, but she will see what discounts she can do. I cut her off and said, I was not given the impression, I was told flat out it was free and I was guaranteed it will not show up on my next bill. She credited me back the $54.99, and gave me ST Max for free since I was told it would be free.

Well I made sure I asked 2 times, that its not just going to show $0.00 now, and then next month I start getting billed for it. The person said flat out, no, you will be getting it for free this year, and will not be billed at all. The first person that I spoke with, was not able to clearly say this to me, they actually were the one that said, "well you may not get billed the 1st month, but you may still wind up getting billed after that", then they transfered me to what he called "the loyalty team", and that was the person that said I would not be getting billed at all. So I dont think it will be an issue. Also, ST is back on consoles this year, PS3/PS4/Xbox One. And you don't even have to have DirecTV anymore to get ST. You can buy a digital subscription to ST, and stream on a console/CPU/Tablet/Phone without being a DirecTV subscriber. Im not sure why DTV would do this, because anyone with cable can now pay for streaming ST, doesn't give much incentive for cable subscribers to switch to DTV.

I went online to look at my programming, and I had the same thing showing Sunday Ticket Max - $0.00.. So I called DTV and told them I was checking the auto renew and saw the $0 and I want to make sure im getting it free. The guy said its possible the 1st payment says $0 but then I could get billed after. I just said Ive been with DTV over 10 years, Ive had it comp'd for free in the past, Ive heard that other people have been getting it free this year, and I would like it free also. He transferred me to the Loyalty team, they looked up my account and said, yes the $0.00 is correct, I am getting Sunday Ticket Max free this year. Somehow, they had already comp'd me, not sure if it has anything to do with the AT&T merger or what, but Ive always had to call a few times and talk my way into getting it free. Ive never had them just give it to me for free without even asking.

Team so far: (With 1 big trade to get Dez) T.Rich Dez R.Cobb V.Cruz Only problem now is i dont pick again until round 7, but I do have 3 picks in that round. Still have 2014 1st/2nd/2nd/4th- May use them to trade back into round 5.

Draft starts tomorrow. Made a few more trades.. Start of the draft looks like this for me: 1.02 2.04 2.05 2.12 5.10 7.03 7.05 I have a pretty good idea what Id like to do with these picks, but Id be curious to hear other peoples opionions on which direction they would try to go with these picks.. Obv it would be all speculative based on ADP.

I must agree, im trying to win now and every year. My main goal in getting the 3 2nd round picks was to hopefully build a nice young core that I can compete with for a long time.. But only time will tell. Believe it or not, my hardest pick right now is 1.02, still not sure what I want to do there.. I pretty much know what I want to do in round 2.

No one seems to want to move up in the 1st, everyones willing to move back it seems. I wound up trading my 6.11 for 8.07 and a 2014 1st rounder surprisingly, then made another small trade & moved the 8.07 up to 7.05. There seems to be 1 team in this league making aweful trades.

Ya im pretty excited for my first dyansty draft. I can only imagine how it must feel to walk away from a dynasty draft and not like your team. Whole different ballgame i guess. Made a few more trades moved up in the 5th and got back into the 6th. Ive been getting alot of offers for my 6.11 pick, I actually think I might be able to recoup a 2014 1st rounder if i move from 6.11 down to the 8th round.. Im tempted to throw an offer like that out to the people who have been after my 6.11. Im not sure that they would do it and Im not sure if I want to move that far down though. I dont knock anyone for voicing their opinions or strats. Im always open to listening to what people think or do.. Though the post basically said he wants all his players to be RB1's & WR1's heh....
