  1. I'm a Seahawks fan that was at the game. I saw it full speed and definitely thought it was a TD. I saw the replays on TV and thought it may be an interception - probably. Then I remembered "oh yeah, posession is when your feet hit the ground. Since when do we declare a catch in the air?" Then I saw this and knew it was a TD, actually. http://fullimpactfoo...-it-wasnt-a-td/
  2. I'm going to quote you on my Facebook page. Well done.
  3. Wilson looked awesome going into halftime even though he only had 7 points. He made a ton of short, super-accurate throws and capped it all off with the first Tate TD. He admittedly broke down in the second half, but we are 2-1 with a rookie QB having our two wins against two of the best teams in the NFL, and our loss to what is likely a surprise contender. Wilson is the right guy, but he's going to have his lumps. Carroll has admitted he didn't unleash Wilson because Green Bay is a turnover machine (positive differential). Here's his post-game quote. Carroll: "Remember, we did not turn the ball over again, and that was the best defense in the NFL taking the ball off of teams last year. ... In the meantime, we're raising a quarterback in the system. We are solid enough as a team to play like this at quarterback right now. It is a struggle for some people to understand that, but we're going to keep moving along and growing and there will be a time when it won't feel exactly like it feels right now. But it's not time." I, for one, do get it. I'm not saying we need to wait another year to be a contender. This team is built to win right now, and Wilson is winning. It's just not pretty. But the point is it gets better. Starting this week we'll be playing a bad team (sorry Lambs fans) that Wilson should be able to play more comfortably against. It's only going to get better for him as we go. You all probably stopped reading my wall of text so I'll stop there for now.

  5. So what I'm wondering - Can the Seahawks be a contender with this guy if the 49ers lose Alex Smith to MIA?
  6. Do you guys generally always try to draft best at the position you need most, or best guy on the board? I've run into a lot of situations right now where I can load up on QBs, and in our league passing TDs are worth 6points. Wondering if I should grab a second-string QB before I grab guys like Dez Bryant or Fred Jackson.
  7. And no, we can not trade draft picks once the clock starts.
  8. That passing TDs are worth 6 points instead of 4. He came back to me and is now saying he wants my 2nd and 4th for his 1st and 6th.... I believe in a 12 team league, that's pick 13 and 37 for 8 and 65. Is that correct? If so, does this change anyone's opinion? At 12 and 13 right now, I think I can grab a bottom Elite QB, middle Elite WR, and late T2 or high T3 RB... that's not very encouraging, considering how much RBs effect this format. If I don't trade up, Vick and Rodgers, and probably Brady and Brees may be gone. These guys have knee-jerk reactions to runs on certain positions.
  9. Well I was thinking the same way. Who is to say the guy I wanted at 4.01 won't be there at 5.08. Or a similar player. Our cheat sheets should be a lot different at that point. With 1.08, there is an outside chance I can get a T1 or high T2 RB. That's my only shot at those guys. They won't fall to me at 1.12. At 1.12 I can then take an elite QB.
  10. This year I have the 12th overall pick. The team with the 8th pick wants to trade his first and 5th round picks for my 2nd and 4th round picks (obviously the first pick in each of those rounds). This is a standard scoring normal ESPN league. No keepers. Is this a good deal for me? Why or why not?
  11. I know he's active and expected to play, but do you guys think his ankle will slow him down or is he still a must start?
  12. Another huge mistake SF made was being cocky early. When they only had 3 points on the board, they kept going for it on 4th down instead of coming away with points, getting stopped by the Seahawks twice. Pretty bad playcalling by Singletary between this and not abandoning the run earlier. One fantasy note I've been preaching for a couple weeks now - Seattle's defense is for real.
  13. Seachickens, hilarious, I see what you did there. Anyway, I was at this game. Here are my observations. 1 - The crowd noise at Qwest Field REALLY gets to some QBs. Veteran guys rarely have a problem, but Alex Smith had 3 or 4 "Delay of Game" penalties, as well as a couple of costly false starts. Long amounts of yardage to convert when SF's only real success was coming over the middle of the field. 2 - Frank Gore was completely stuffed. Now some people may chalk this up to some sort of arbitrary SF mistake, but this was certainly an area where I just thought the Seahawks outplayed them. If you've payed any attention to the Seahawks in the pre-season, you've seen that not even Chris Johnson or AP did anything at all to them. Their D Front is really a strength of this team. 3 - The two picks by Alex Smith were VERY costly. One was a pick six by Trufaunt, the other was taken to the 17 yard line by Babs. This was run in on a bootleg by Hasselbeck the very next play. 4 - As mentioned previously, SF was only able to throw in the middle of the field, where the Seahawks gave them space. You could tell that Pete Carrol had the guys in zone almost the whole game, and tried to prevent the big play, rather than bat away every pass. It put Alex Smith in a situation where he couldn't run, and couldn't go vertical for a big play. The Seahawks made Alex Smith beat him, and he just hasn't shown anyone that kind of talent. So to answer your question, SF was overhyped in the preseason, and the Seahawks are better than people expected.
  14. I've not seen a draft where he goes undrafted, nor have I seen him dropped. In fact I've seen him going a lot higher than I think he should. But yeah, I think he's worth one of the last two roster spots on your team, depending on your need at the position. There's always a chance...
  15. I'm thinking about Cutler over Romo too. It's definitely a risk. But it may prove worth it.
