  1. No, not vetoing the trades. Just calling trades "unfair", "lopsided" and "fleecing." Also claims of taking advantage of other teams and a "cheap approach." The "cheap approach" is apparently sending a trade offer and the person responds back within an hour with an acceptance...no other words communicated.
  2. The problem is some of the league owners are women and he feels it necessary to protect other teams from taking advantage of them.
  3. That's what I tried to argue, but some of those trades were, according to the commissioner, taking advantage of teams. Our league has had problems with not trading in the past for these very same reasons. If some of these trades are considered collusion or fleecing, I guess I'm not sure how to make a trade then
  4. Recent trades in our league have been met with strong disapproval by the commissioner. Which if, any, of these are lopsided (not all of these include my team)? VJax for Jordy Nelson M Wallace for Gio Gates for Decker McGahee for Gordon
  5. Grossman is not available. Thanks for the advice, I commented on yours.
  6. Definitely Barber in this one. Despite single-handedly losing the game for the Bears TWICE last week, he's the #1 RB on a team with a crappy QB. I like the points Seattle's D has been giving up to opposing RB's the last several weeks as well. Grant, too inconsistent. DJax, see Grant. Barber's probably your safest bet.
  7. QB has never been my strong suit this year, especially after Schaub went down. I've been rotating QBs based on matchups and this week I'm stuck at Sanchez v. Flacco. 1pt/50yds passing, 6pt/rushing & passing TD, -2pt/fumble or interception. Playing the steamroller of our league who has Brady, Gronk, and Rice. Can use all the help I could get. Thanks.
  8. Thanks DawgTalk! One last bump before the game tonight. Anyone else like to chime in?
  9. 0.5 PPR, 1pt/20yd (rushing/receiving), 6pt/TD, -2pt/fumble. Going up against our regular season champ this week who's rolling out Brady, Rice, and the Gronk. Struggling between Julio Jones tonight or Marion Barber on Sunday. Already have Roddy White going tonight, too. Please help..
  10. Thanks so much for the reply. Yes, I am a clear cut favorite (overall #1) in my league, so I think going with safety is the better choice. I swapped out Lloyd for VJax Thursday night and that paid off big time so I'm thinking that not rocking the boat by going for potential over safety is a better choice.
  11. Any help? I've been stressing this all week. Charles is in a dome...Cassel now looks like he might not play today. Does KC run it all day? Or does STL stack the box? Stewart's averaging 107yds/week the last three weeks. Playing suspect ARI defense. But his early season injuries make me worry. There's also Goodson to deal with.
  12. Having a tough time deciding between the two this week. They're going into my flex as I have both Turner and Foster in my RB slots. Is Cassel's iffyness enough to downgrade Charles? Is CAR good enough to allow Stewart to go off against ARI?
  13. 12 team redraft league. First place, 9-1, overall points leader by ~120 points over the next closest. PPR league. QB: Michael Vick WR: Larry Fitzgerald WR: Brandon Lloyd RB: Michael Turner RB: Arian Foster TE: Antonio Gates WR/RB/TE: Jamaal Charles K: Rob Bironas DEF: Pittsburgh Steelers Bench: Matt Ryan Santonio Holmes Donald Driver Seyi Ajirotutu Kellen Winslow Randy McMichael Thomas Jones Had to dump James Jones for McMichael this week as I'm not sure about Gates' status, yet. Fortunately (knock on wood) I've been able to avoid the big injury bug. Gates and Vick have had their injuries but everyone else has been solid for me. My draft was as follows: 1: Michael Turner 2: Larry Fitzgerald 3: Jamaal Charles 4: Arian Foster 5: Antonio Gates 6: Mike Sims-Walker 7: Matt Ryan 8: Jacoby Jones 9: Jabar Gaffney 10: Santonio Holmes 11: Kevin Kolb 12: Pittsburgh DEF 13: Laurence Maroney 14: Sidney Rice 15: Neil Rackers 16: Kellen Winslow Needless to say, my season has been made due to the studs of Arian Foster and Antonio Gates. Aside from that though, my free agency pickups have mostly turned into gold for me. I was able to get Thomas Jones for Mike Sims-Walker after MSW's week 1 goose egg, which helped me during bye weeks mid-season. I also struck major gold with Brandon Lloyd and Michael Vick. Held onto Kolb for awhile until the Eagle's situation got figured out. Winslow has been on and off my time a couple times. I've also been playing Kicker roulette based on bye weeks. I'm just hoping that the very consistent play of most of my players can continue into playoffs. I've been in this league for 9 years now and have yet to win the trophy due to every year my team crapping the bed during the playoffs. This, though, has been by far my most dominant team yet.
  14. 12 team 0.5 PPR. Start 1 QB/2 RB/2 WR/ 1 W/R/T/ 1 TE/ 1 DEF/ 1 K QB: Vick, Ryan, Kolb RB: Turner, Foster, Charles, T. Jones, Snelling WR: Fitzgerald, Jacoby Jones, B. Lloyd, S. Holmes, S. Rice TE: Gates K: Rackers DEF: Pittsburgh Up until this week, I've luckily missed the major injury bug (now Vick's down...). I've been getting very consistent results out of most of my players and Gates, Pittsburgh, Foster, and Vick helped me win all of my games by wide margins. My biggest weakness is at WR and possibly QB, but I'm hoping I can weather Vick's injury the next few weeks and that the return of Santonio Holmes and maybe even Sidney Rice will be a spark come playoff time.
