  1. My language may not have been clear. I was referring to Rest of the Season Rankings which occur on a Weekly Basis. I think of the "Rankings" of how a player will do in a week as "Projections".
  2. I definitely think that the site is worth the price. Here are a few things that I think could be better. I like the weekly player rankings. My only problem is that DMD does the preseason rankings, but then Tuvey does the weekly rankings during the season. I use the preseason rankings to draft players, but when the season starts, it seems like a bunch of players move around. I'm never sure if it is just a difference of opinion or a fundamental change. I like DMD's risk & upside and wish they were in the season's player ranking. Depending on my need during the season, I may be looking for a player with more upside or a player that will be more consistent. If there are 2 players available and they are ranked together, I can't tell which one would be better based on the need for one of my teams. I wish weekly rankings existed for IDP. I use the Huddle very little for IDP, because I am not sure how the rankings of players change week to week. I use another free site for IDP just because the guy provides a weekly IDP ranking. At least I get one person's consistent opinion and can judge him by how his rankings do over the season. Finally, I don't want to pile on on the Free Agent Forecast, but I would rather see one person's gut on players that are about to break out then a laundry list of all the players available. I used another site before I found the Huddle (not going to say which). Of course, the Huddle is far superior overall. The guy who did free agency there would give 2 or 3 players at each position and say why he thought they were about to break out. He was REALLY GOOD. I could never tell what the opinion was of the guy that does free agency for the Huddle, so I don't look at it. I'm not saying his opinion isn't good, I just couldn't tell. Anyway, as long as DMD is here, I will be here and happy to pay for it.

  5. I think that it would be interesting to see a highlight clip of all the roughing the passer calls that have been made in the NFL over the last 2 years to see where this penalty ranks. I have a feeling that a lot of ridiculous "nothing" touches have been called, with very few people complaining about them being bad calls. It's the kind of thing that a "real" sports media would do, but we don't have a real sports media. We have the NFL (that is first and foremost a business) and the networks (who won't say boo! to the NFL, because without football no one would watch anything they show).
  6. Do you think that BJGE will effectively carry-block Bernard? That was my thought. On DMD's chat on Tues, I think he said the same thing, but now Bernard seems to be up in the Huddle PPR rankings. I'm not sure if I see the reason for the change.
  7. Any idea of when this will be updated for Week 10? It seems like these rankings are usually there on Thursday morning.
  8. Someone just came up with an idea for getting Brees signed. Pay him the extra $5 million per year for being the Head Coach.
  9. As much as I love watching NFL games, the NFL is a corrupt organization and is all about 32 people - the owners. And the Sports Media that covers the NFL is just as corrupt as the NFL. They don't do any real reporting. Anything that could be reported to really make the NFL look bad is not reported, because if it is, they are cut-off by the NFL. No access = no job. I was asking the same question when Spygate came out. Is this murder or is it running a red light in a bad neighborhood at 3am in the morning? We, the public, will never know, because the Sports Media, who knows how common it was by team will never report it. The same thing is true now. How many teams had some sort of a bounty system. The "reporters" in every NFL city know the answer, but none of them are going to spill the beans. What the Saints organization did was "awful" and "stupid", but this result makes the NFL look good, like it is "doing something about the problem - setting an example". Is the real story that there are a dozen teams that have had a bounty system in the last few years? Everyone involved in this is being made an example, but what about "ole" Tom Benson. He makes more money off of how well the NFL as a whole does than he makes off the Saints. Are he and the other owners just circling the wagons to protect their real franchise, "The NFL Brand". The team was fined $500,000. That is chump change. I think that, in the end, the protecting of the "NFL Franchise" will be the downfall of the NFL. 30 years from now, we will be watching NFL flag/touch football and wondering what happened to the game we loved.
  10. Will Henne being out and a new QB in help or hurt Miami's rushing production?
  11. Does this make Kerry Collins a QB1 based on experience and Indy's schedule? What are the implications for the running game? With 8 men in the box, can Addai get the job done? Can anyone? Carter?
  12. Back in 2001, we're drafting and we have a new guy (worked with my wife) playing. He's at the end of the first round. It's his turn to pick. He says, "I'm going to need a workhorse; I'll take Priest Holmes." Everybody starts laughing - making fun of him. Priest Who? Everybody had a great laugh, until . . . Well, you know the rest.
  13. So, who would Champ Bailey cover Walter to Jones?
  14. I guess I need to start checking the by-line. I still thought Whitney was doing Start/Bench!
