  1. Started out 1-5, then went on a 6 game win-streak. Season finale was me (7-5) vs a 6-5-1 team while another 7-5 team (one who I beat head-to-head) was against yet another 6-5-1. Bottom-line...I had to win! Didn't happen. Not even close. Certainly didn't help that he had GONZALEZ, HARRISON, and BARBER in his lineup. I would have had to start Leon Washington and Isaac Bruce to actually be up by 2 as we speak. But who would have thunk those two yesterday? Instead, I'm down by 20 at the moment, all my players have been used; he has Jake Delhomme left for tonight's game. Highly doubt he's going to throw 7 INTs and also fumble as many. Better luck next year. Guess I need to start stronger (started 0-5-1 last year in my first season 'rallying' to 4-8-1).
  2. Heath Miller or Desmond Clark?
  3. I took Santonio off the bench for this week instead of doing so with Isaac Bruce or Reche Caldwell. I think he could have an even better game than he had against Cleveland two weeks ago especially with Hines out and who Steelers' O is up against.
  4. I also didn't bench CJ. And if I had Housh, I certainly wouldn't have either. Only nine points, but it's a whole lot better than nothing. Now if only Keyshawn & Santonio (only one RB this week - T Jones; all I got) can get it done. Debating on replacing one of both of them with Isaac Bruce and/or Reche Caldwell though. Thoughts?

  6. I echo the last post. I finally gave up on JJ.
  7. Rex will silence the critics at least for this week. Put him in; especially at home against a horrid Viking pass-D.
  8. I'd keep Romo in while he's still on a roll. He's not going to 'hit a speed-bump' this week against that Giant-D and he will not throw them INTs like he did that last meeting against them. Don't put in V Young. 'Letdown' is written all over; Indy's D can wake up at any moment and why not this Sunday? As for Cincy's D? They may give off a better performance than you think so forget McNair as well. Even if their D turns out to be characteristically absent, like the other posts say expect Ravens to run the ball more anyway. Also listen to the other posts that say Tomlinson will hog the TDs from Rivers.
  9. Numbers in my name pretty lame? Hmm? When if I'm a Jim Otto and Ken Burrough fan (both wore #00)? And maybe gilthorpe's post wasn't sarcastic. To go from 1-5 to 7-5? I'm pretty amazed myself and certainly would be throwing compliments out if someone else did it and won their final game to clinch of course! Again, this streak means squat if I lose this week, so I'm not a...'God' just yet. Only if I win-it-all am I.
  10. Lol, excellent question but I'm certainly not complaining. The acquisition will mean squat, however, if I lose this week. TJ's all I got at this point. Not going to start J Jones, R Brown, or L Washington over him. If Chester & TJ's all you got at RB, flip a coin. I see both having similar performances which may very well end up being better than you think. I wouldn't get too worried over it. I'm going to start TJ and if he has a bad game and the rest of my team doesn't compensate, well, what a ride it was (starting out 1-5 only to go on a 6-game-win-streak only to then lose the finale to a 6-5-1 team to get eliminated; better luck next year I guess). As for you, jax, if you get in the playoffs - you're set. Chester (@DET, NYJ, @GB, STL; not too shabby either) & Jones in your backfield the rest of the way.
  11. If I get in the playoffs, that is. Vikings' D this final week seems to be a bit of a hurdle, but from there: @STL, TB, @DET, GB. Not too shabby; and not too shabby a move on my part to pick him off waivers mid-season. Only problem obviously is that final game. Will he be benched for his own team's post-season?
  12. starters: QB - Tom Brady NE (Det) RB - Thomas Jones CHI (Min) - yes, I know he's up against a stout run-D, but who else?? TJ is on a roll as of late RB/WR - Santonio Holmes PIT (TB) - this is my darkhorse WR - Chad Johnson (BAL) - too easy to bench him vs Ravens, or isn't it? WR - Keyshawn Johnson (@PHI) TE - Heath Miller PIT (TB) D - New England (Det) K - Jason Elam DEN (Sea) bench: QB - Philip Rivers SD (@Buf) RB - Julius Jones DAL (@NYG) - finally given up on him, about time RB - Ronnie Brown MIA (Jac) - too beat up RB - Leon Washington NYJ (@GB) WR - Isaac Bruce STL (Ari) - him for S Holmes? WR - Reche Caldwell NE (Det) - or this guy? or will Brady throw TDs to four other WRs? lol TE - Desmond Clark CHI (Min) D - Dallas (@NYG) Man, what a season it's been. Stared out 1-5, planted 6 game win-streak from there. If the season ends now I'm in. Problem is, I'm up against a 6-5-1 team for the finale. I lose - I'm out! Playoffs are now as far as I'm concerned and do not wanna choke. This is my current lineup. Anything I should do different? All advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  13. Only four points yesterday; 4th single-dig performance in a row (5 in the last 6).
