  1. I love Fitz, but if CJ can beat a horse he can beat out Fitz for your last spot. I would try to trade Fitz. There is probably a team out there that could use him and since you would have to drop him anyways you might as well try to get something in return for him.
  2. Thanks for all the replies. I am leaning on protecting Wayne over Brown right now. To be honest I didn't even really think of keeping Wayne, but it makes sense. I might lose Brown, but IMO Jones and/or Benson could have a bigger year than Brown. thanks again!
  3. I am in an 8 man deeper keeper league where we keep 9 guys. It is pretty much a basic scoring league with a point for every 20 yards and passing TD's are worth 4 points. Our league is unique in that we have what's called a swiper rule to balance the teams a little. Each team can protect 4 players that are untouchable. Then the next 5 guys can be swiped from your team (you can only lose one player) The worst place team gets the first swipe and I get the last swiper pick QB's---M. Bulger, M. Vick, M. Leinart (start 2) I would like to keep 2 of these guys but don't know which ones. I'm leaning Bulger and Leinart and see if I can trade Vick. RB's---S. Alexander, S. Jackson, R. Brown, C. Benson, T. Jones, J. Lewis. I also have the #1 pick and will take A. Peterson thanks to a trade last year where I gave up C. Taylor to a Viking homer (kind of ironic that Peterson will steal his job at some point (start 3) I am protecting Alexander, Jackson, and R. Brown. I would like to keep one more between the others but am struggling which one to keep. I am actively trying to trade the others because others are not sitting pretty at RB like I am. WR's---S. Smith, R. Wayne, D. Stallworth, H. Ward, B. Edwards (start 3) Smith is my 4th protected player, and I would like to keep 2 more WR's because I have a feeling Wayne will be swiped from my team. I love the upside of Edwards, but it's tough to let Ward go. Maybe I can get an extra pick for Stallworth. My protected players are easy----Alexander, Jackson, Brown and Smith. My next 5 guys are not and remember one of them will be stolen from my team. Any advice on what I should do? Should I trade those RB's or keep them and be a RB whore? How do you rank Lewis, Benson and T. Jones? Should I only keep Bulger and maybe grab my 2nd QB in the draft? We start 2 and I would be afraid that someone would swipe Bulger from me and leave me with no QB's so I would like to keep 2. What should I do at WR? Sorry about such a long post, but I wanted to get as many details to you guys/gals as possible. I WANT THE TROPHY this year because last year I got hosed!!!!!!
  4. I am a realistic Viking fan and I see them struggling this year. The fortunate thing is that they are in the same division and the Lions and the Packers so anything is possible. If they get a solid season out of T. Jackson then I could see 8-8. If T. Jackson struggles they will go 6-10 and have another top 10 pick. The defense will be fine and with a healthy E. James and Greenway could help them win a few games by defense alone.
  5. Another great pick by the Vikings. I think he slipped because he might be a classic tweener and those guys usually don't pan out. I don't mind taking these kind of guys late in the draft so I love the pick and like someone else mentioned, he will be a nice addition to the ST's. This kid is a class act. The only time he has got into trouble with the law was when he tried stopping a fight. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=2627506
  6. I am a big Viking fan and have had my ups and downs with Moss. I think this is a great trade for the Patriots. They got him to restructure his deal and they only gave up a 4th round pick. Randy Moss needs a QB to get him the ball and he finally will have that in Brady. When Moss was winning in MN he wasn't really a problem on the field. I see the Patriots winning this year so that will make a happy Moss and a very scary Patriots team. Some of you guys will be surprised but I see Moss being a leader on that team.
  7. I was very impressed with the Vikings draft, and it's the first time in years that I can say that. This year there were no reaches and I never said what were they thinking at all this weekend A. Peterson was a great pick. IMO, Chester Taylor is a nice back that had a career year running in the Vikings system. Can you imagine what Peterson will do running behind that line and Richardson leading the way? Rice was a solid pick, but I would have been happy with either of the Cal WR's or Rice. I love the 3rd round pick. If the Vikings coaches can get his head on straight they might have a future corner. Robinson in the 4th was a nice pick too. I love those kids that their motor never stops. Maybe he can teach Udeze a thing or two. The thing that might have impressed me the most is they were moving down in the draft and still getting their guy. When they did move up they didn't give away the farm like they have in years past.
