  1. I'm in the same boat with Bennett and Gates this week. I'm actually leaning toward Bennett since Gates pulled himself after exactly the kind of week he's just had. I know Gates is a stud but I'm tempted to bench him until I actually see him start again. Luckily Pettigrew and Bennet both have great matchups this week. Your only other alternative would be to stash Rosario in case of another last-minute scratch. Also, does your matchup make you think you need to shoot for the moon? If so, then Gates might be worth the risk. if you just need solid work from everyone and not a home-run, then I'd go with Pettigrew.
  2. All arrows are pointing up for Martellus Bennett, is he worth starting over Gates? I only say this because of the last-minute scratch for Gates last week. Are we going to get the 75% Gates that plays with injury so often?
  3. If Sproles is still the Saints KR and PR, he's gold in a league like this. Might want to take a look at Jaquizz Rodgers, too.
  4. Thought I was weaker at receiver so I dropped Darren Sproles and kept Greg Little prior to Week One (In a 1/2 PPR w/ 1pt per 50 return yds). Needless to say I wasn't able to get him back on waivers.
  5. I have Tate and am thinking of offering him up to the Foster owner for a WR upgrade just so I don't have to deal with the drama.
  6. Had the Pats DST, but wanted no part of what proved to be a total shootout. Took the DET DST partly because they look young & hungry, and partly because of the "Who do the Chiefs play this week?" strategy.
  7. 1/2 PPR, 1pt per 10yds Would you rather have one of the other two possibly producing for you now, or is Amendola's long-term value enough for you to hold a bench spot for him over the other two?
  8. Would you try to turn these two while they're hot and provide him insurance on two of his starters? Or hold them in case Foster & Royal are out longer term?
  9. Brown feels he has to hold the line on players demanding trades. No one seems to want to play for the Bengals, so if one player manages to force a trade, the floodgates will open and everyone will try to exit the same way Carson Palmer & Chad Johnson tried to. They're cutting off their nose despite their face, but they're such a dysfunctional franchise that it's the only way to keep their players in town.
  10. If you own MJD, Karim's #1 with a bullet, especially if you can't trade. If Drew goes down, Karim takes all of his workload. All three are receiving backs so they're not ideal for this format but I think Sproles will continue to be the most involved in his offense. With Colston out and Moore hurting, Sproles and Graham are the only reliable sets of hands on the field. Woodhead would be next since because of how much the Pata are tossing it around. Ellis might lose time to the rookies but Woodhead's role is his own.
  11. Thinking of starting him at WR, but 0TD's 2INT's and 2 fumbles are a real possibility. He gets a bump for putting up QB points at WR, but how many WR's get a chance to turn the ball over 4 times in a game? His real value to me is in negating Sidney Rice in my opponents lineup. I'm going to be swapping out Webb and the death-spiraling Lloyd out ten times between now and Sunday.
  12. Added B.Tate last week, but while I think he's still the best fit in my league (1pt - 50 ret. yds + TDs), I think Branch's contribution will be to make both of these guys pull-your-hair-out plays as you'll never know which of them will have a good game week-to-week. Branch is still available, but the Seahawk fan in me just can't pick him up. I think having both and deciding who to start at WR3 would drive me insane. As far as Golden Tate vs. Deon Butler in SEA, Butler definitely has a better grasp of the offense than Tate, but he his a traditional deep-threat, where Tate is a YAC guy. Since Hasselbeck deals with jailbreaks on most plays (thanks,O-Line) the deep-ball hasn't had a place in the offense for a while. I'd go Butler for now, since he was tabbed as the most-improved player on the team going into the season, but the Seahawks offense isn't bad because of who they're starting at WR, but who they're starting on the OL.
  13. So, now I get to choose between Johnny Knox with Collins under center, Brandon Tate on a bye, and Agent Zero: Mike Sims-Walker. (They might all score the same this week, unless Knox gets me some return yardage.) Free-Agent Time: Steve Johnson / Dexter McCluster: COME ON DOWN!
