  1. Who that was out of the top 10 last year do you think will break the top 10 this year at the RB position. I had a strong feeling for Shon Green and J Charles until LT and TJ croweded the backfield. They still could get in there but not with as big a bang as I was hoping. My semi dark horse however, is D McFadden and/or M Bush. With Fargas out of the way and a decent Oline the "healthy" should get a lot of carries and if Gradkowski is the QB then they will have a respectable passing game. Other choice would be B Jacobs, again if he can stay healthy.
  2. Sure he does, but of course, the first week he gets a freaking favorable matchup vs the Jets after having faced Pitt, Den and NE which have stout pass D's he loses his starting QB. He and FF owners cannot catch a break this early in the year. Still, I am debating starting him this week because it is the Jet's D and his matchups from here on out do include some favorable options. Now it's a question of him having a reliable QB.
  3. I have the same choice and I am going with Lynch without a second thought. I am a CAL fan and I watched this guy play for his 3 years. He NEVER goes down on first contact(possibly a consideration for injury) and can break it for a big game at any time. In college he had enough speed to take it for score. He might not have quite enough speed for the NFL but he is elusively tough. I do expect Indy to take an early lead and fore Denver more into a passing game. Henry will get some yardage and a score I think but I would expect a bit more production form Lynch since he is also a good pass catcher and Edwards may lean on him for some designed screens and dump offs.
  4. No, but I would grab Rhodes if he is available. Fargas has never done much, although the line is blocking better this year so maybe, just maybe fargas could produce a little. but Rhodes is the backup if Jordan goes down and he is no longer suspended.
  5. I have Evans, Reggie Brown and Javon Walker on my roster. It is a smallish league and so Curry and Jerry Porter are available. With the matchup vs Cleveland this week I was thinking that there is an opportunity for one of these guys to go for 100/1 or 2 TD. Not sure who is the better choice the. Is one of them the clear cut #1. Last week Curry was missing and Porter did well but week 1 Curry was the man. Was Curry just hurt last week?
  6. Yeah, it seem that Gibbs is not a liar and did as they indicated they would for this first which is start Portis and then give Betts some carry. This wasn't RBBC but rather bringing Portis up to speed. His workload increases more next week.
  7. TJ, is the more consistent player scoring the same each week. SInce you are probably in an HTH league TJ is better to have on your roster. Chand had a couple of big weeks last year. There numbers were similar and I and even saw where TJ has been getting more targets. Take it for what it's worth but I would prefer TJ of Chad.
  8. Does he take away all the opps within the 5 yard line.
  9. really, I thought I read somewhere tht Shipp was going to get some short yardage goal line carries. Maybe someone can find that quote.
  10. Because Shipp is going to vulture the inside the 5 yardline carries 6, maybe 7
  11. He isin fact going to be making all the calls, with Knapp up in the box offering advice from that perspective. But yes, it's Kiffin's offense to run.
  12. The most important thing I think is the blocking scheme and change of coaches who won;t require 7 step drops. Seriously, Shell and Mr IHOP could not coach n the modern era. Bottom line.
  13. With all do respect, I have followed the Raider off-season and training camp as close as I can via the local newspapers articles that are online. C-Pep has the inside track on the starting QB spot and it looks like Walter may get cut if JR ever does get signed. Al Davis is holding off on guaranteed money, posibly in light of the Vick scenario and the chance that a new CBA will favor reason, i.e. rookie salaries will be fixed so no more outlandish guarantees just to have someone pull an akili SMith, or a (who was the guy from WSU that went to SD) Anyway, look for the Raiders to go 8-8 and be pushing for 9-7 this year. The defense is even going ot be better. Those who discount what the Raiders are doing in the pre-season with respect to how well they did last year in pre-season are not watching the games. Last year in pre-season those games were run by the scrubs at the end of the game. This year we are going into the end of the half with the lead playing starters vs starters. Now, I do take our success with a grain of salt in that we haven't faced imposing defenses or all the starters on a teams offense. Still, if we weren't moving the ball, as was the case last year then I'd be inclined to say SOS, just a different year Culpepper, Jordan and Porter will have respectable numbers. The team is on it's way up but I don't expect miracles.
  14. 3 team trade I am trying to facilitate Player A Trade Marc Bulger and Hines Ward to player B for Carson Palmer and Jevon Walker Then Player A trades E James and Jevon Walker to Player C for TJ Houshamndzedah and Chestor Taylor
  15. Sure it's only pre-season but as SD #1 WR he certainly looked the part last night. With Gates and LT getting all the attention its realistic he could approach 1000/10.
