  1. Any other insights this morning? With all the news on the morning pre-game shows, it really seems like Julio is too much of a risk to start and I agree with MT and turbinator about volume. Surely Landry can turn 10-14 targets into a 8/65/TD day, right?
  2. Thanks RiseUp. Considering your avatar, can you post any insider Sunday a.m. updates you get? I agree with you about the upside. Late game is what is killing me
  3. Cardinals given up TD to slot receiver in last 4 games. Thanks Panzer for the advice!
  4. Top scoring team forced to play in first round due to horrible luck in the PA column and now Spencer Ware has put me behind. With today's AJC news that Julio could be a dreaded "decoy" (and considering he's a game-time decision to boot), here are my options: (traded depth to roster studs and waiver wire closed once regular season ended) .5 PPR for WR's / 0 PPR for RB's Option #1 WR - Jarvis Landry (might have to plug him in without 100% knowing Julio's status) Main question with Landry is who does Patrick Peterson cover. Reports seem to have him on DeVante Parker. Targets are there and Dolphins could be playing from behind. Option #2 RB - Kenneth Dixon (could flex him if Julio is out, but no bonus for receptions for RB position) What would y'all do?
  5. Gio Bernard getting stuffed at goal line two straight times and Fitz getting tackled at one means I need 13.5 from Reggie Bush tonight. It's a .5 PPR league, so I'm hopeful ... especially since I went 12-1 in regular season and facing the 5-8 wildcard team who saw all their players career in semifinals. An early TD would be nice, but I have a feeling this is going down to the wire!
  6. After Demaryius put me in a hole, I've got to get my flex position decision right. Have Dez Bryant at WR2, but deciding between Crabtree and Burleson and know that which 49er is sent to Alcatraz (Revis island) will have a huge bearing on production. Revis rarely covers slot, which is where Boldin has been lining more often up now (40% of snaps) with Crabtree back, but I'd hate to shy away from what could be a great matchup against rookie Johnthan Banks if Tampa rotates coverage or shadows Boldin with Revis. What do you guys think the matchup will be?
  7. Wow! CJ2K to pair with AJ2K. That's quite a tandem and a luxury many of us will never have the fortune of having in redraft leagues!
  8. Am stuck between a rock and a hard decision tomorrow night in my local league. First three picks are (almost) guaranteed to go according to plan with CJ2K, ADP, and MJD going 1, 2, & 3. I'm then stuck deciding between Andre Johnson or Ray Rice. In my league, scoring is somewhat unique with a .5 point per reception for WR's and TE's only. We can start 2RB's, 2WR's, and one flex player each week. Who do you think is the pick here? My VBD spreadsheet says it's AJ. My gut says it's Ray.
  9. With the Titans schedule and teams focusing on the run, can Kerry Colllins & Justin Gage repeat the legendary 8 game success of Billy Volek & Drew Bennett of 2004? As an owner who won a title based off their "titanic" production (despite their week 16 iceberg collision vs. Denver), and w/ the Jets, Lions, Browns, and Texans on tap for the next four games, can it happen again! Thoughts?
  10. Have clinched a playoff spot, but have received the following offer from an owner who is trying to make it in. Our league starts 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, and 1Flex (RB/WR). .5 PPR for WR's only ... No TE I would receive: RB - Marshawn Lynch (BUF) WR - Anquan Boldin (ARZ) QB - Kurt Warner (ARZ) He receives: RB - Ryan Grant (GB) WR - Larry Fitzgerald (ARZ) My two other QB's are Garcia & Vince Young. My two other WR's are Reggie Wayne & Chad Johnson. Fitzgerald is the other part of my terrible trio My two other RB's are Selvin Young / Travis Henry & Shaun Alexander / Maurice Morris (need a big play back) Obviously I need some help at QB, but I can't get him to give up Derek Anderson (and is Warner that big of an upgrade over Garcia, who has been consistent) Ryan Grant has come on as my #2 back the last two weeks, but is the chance to acquire Lynch too good to pass up (especially w/ Buffalo's playoff schedule ... though how concerned should I be w/ his ankle) Last, is Boldin that much of a downgrade from Fitzgerald. Warner has shown favoritism in red zone to Boldin in past, but is the hip health a concern. I've clinched my spot, so this deal is for weeks 14-16. I've got 2 hours and 31 minutes to decide (midnight CST deadline) Would you pull the trigger?
  11. Not knowing anything specific about your scoring system, I'd stay away from both of those deals. Washington has a brutal stretch of games coming up (specifically for the RB matchups), they have a tough playoff schedule (week 14-16), and LaDell Betts is in the picture. Warner is somewhat healthier and K. Wisenhunt has shown the tendency to stay w/ the run game. Going forward, Edge will get you consistent points w/ a better offense and easier schedule ... Portis will be hit/miss. Bowe or Curtis don't add enough to the equation for me to trade the better back.
  12. Hello all, I'm sitting at 4-4 with a huge stretch run to determine my playoff fate. I'm in a 12-team league that starts 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1Flex (RB/WR/TE). Scoring is 1 pt per 10 for RB/WR, .5 PPR for WR's only. The following deal crossed my desk this morning ... Give up: RB - Shaun Alexander (SEA) RB - Cedric Benson (CHI) WR - Torry Holt (STL) Gain: RB - Steven Jackson (STL) WR - Marvin Harrison (IND) Def/ST Indianapolis My other RB's are Kevin Jones & Selvin Young. Benson and Alexander have been killing me due to underproduction this year My other WR's are Chad Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, and Santana Moss. Holt has been good for the dome/home games. Have been starting a 3rd WR for flex position each week (don't see that trend stopping). With the injury concerns of both SJax & MHarrison, should I do this deal? I think it weakens me for the short term, but w/ INDY's playoff schedule in mind (and my main division rival having Peyton), I'm tempted to pull the trigger and get rid of the underperforming Shaun & Cedric. I guess it boils down to Harrison's bruised knee and Jackson's bulging back. W.W.Y.D.?
  13. Based on the way each team is heading and how each back is used in their offense, who do you think puts up better stats for the rest of the year? CBenson has a tough game this week @MIN, but closes (before fantasy playoffs) with the following schedule: @Phi, DET, (bye), @ Oak, @Sea, DEN, NYG TJones has a home game vs. PHI this week, but closes (before fantasy playoffs) with the following schedule: @Cin, BUF, WAS, (bye), PIT, @Dal, MIA Thoughts?
  14. Does anyone know the status of Anquan Boldin this week (or going forward)? I didn't see him mentioned in the training room iinjury update today (probably because he didn't play in week 5) and am somewhat curious on his hip health. In the past, Warner has shown favoritism towards him in the passing game, and now that he's the starter, I'm looking to "buy low" if he looks like he will be healthy soon - especially since Fitz is getting all the attention now.
  15. Been offered the following deal: Give up: QB - Carson Palmer RB - Kevin Jones RB - Jerious Norwood Receive: QB - Vince Young RB - Laurence Maroney WR - Larry Fitzgerald My questions are: 1) What is Maroney's value rest-of-season wise compared to Kevin Jones? 2) Is the upgrade at the WR position (have CJohnson and THolt already) worth the downgrade at QB? This deal hits during a week when I need a win (w/ Bengals on bye - lose Chad and Carson), but don't want to sell the farm to buy the cow. Thoughts?
