  1. Uh, I'm not sure Marvin Harrison is the model citizen you want to use in this analogy.
  2. Seahawks homer here. I'm not sure if I should be pleased about this announcement or not. Edge just turned 31 this month and he's perhaps a hair more effective than Julius Jones at this point. It's like buying Equal because Sweet n' Low isn't cutting it anymore. I honestly feel that Forsett is our best RB right now, even though he (theoretically) lacks the durability of a 3-downer. I'd love to see him on most downs with Duckett working the short yardage (or hell, why not Schmitt?). We might as well sign Rudi Johnson or Priest Holmes at this point.
  3. I think I'm leaning that way too. Thanks for the suggestion BC!
  4. By the time my next pick rolls around, here are the top WRs & TEs I expect to be there: WRs: Bernard Berrian, Laveranues Coles, Lee Evans, Hines Ward, Donald Driver TEs: Kellen Winslow, Tony Gonzales (iffy), Greg Olsen, Owen Daniels I guess my main concern is whether or not Brandon Marshall will be a playable option this year.
  5. Thanks for asking. Yes, you can start 3 WRs and yes a TE is mandatory. Each week, you start five skills position players. At least 1 RB, 2 WR and 1 TE. Fifth position is flex RB/WR/TE.
  6. Hey folks, I'll save you the gritty scoring details but here's a summary of my situation: I'm in a keeper league and am picking 6th in this year's draft. My four keepers are Frank Gore, Ryan Grant, Reggie Wayne and Brandon Marshall (ugh). To give you an idea of who will be taken ahead of me, it'll likely be Dwayne Bowe, Kevin Smith, Beanie Wells, Knowshon Moreno and some other player I can't think of. Given that you can only keep 4 players in a .5PPR keeper league, who would you rather have? Antonio Gates or Chad Ochocinco? HELP!
  7. Let's see. I'm up 20 points with Reggie Wayne left to play for my team and my opponent has Lendale White. I was in the same situation last week with Brandon Marshall left and my opponent had Randy Moss & the NE defense and I ended up losing so I'm not terribly optimistic tonight despite which should be a gimme.
  8. Yeah, they could have just as easilly signed an RB who steals baggage instead.
  9. For what it's worth Loogie, we can't see images posted from your harddrive.
  10. Yeah, you're getting a bit ahead of yourself here. I'd say his current value is about a Greg Jennings/Roddy White/Jerricho Cotchery at best.
  11. Those are some nice match-ups. Going straight from the gut, I'd start Lynch and Turner although Graham should do pretty well too. Good luck!
  12. I agree... except Barber still HAS that rib bruise. He's going to play through the pain but they're definitely going to take precautions with him. There's also the issue of Barber being a 1st half player. He puts a lot of effort into his play from the get-go and then starts to run out of gas in the second half of games. Based on his line of questioning, it looks like he's asking which two running backs to start this weekend. Like I said, Addai is the obvious choice and roll the dice on Felix.
  13. Personally, I like Harrison over Edge. He's a little bit slower this year but he's still a very savvy player and has exhibited no problems in finding soft spots in pass defenses. I don't consider him to be an injury risk either. Even though I'm a Reggie Wayne fan (check my team in my sig), Harrison and Manning have a rapport that is virtually unmatched by any other WR/QB combo in the league today. If for no other reason than loyalty, Manning will find a way to get Harrison the ball every game (with Wayne still outperforming overall by the end of the year). Don't forget that this is the same Marvin Harrison that complained to Peyton a couple of years ago after getting limited targets in a game only to explode for receptions, yards & TDs the next game. That said, you may want to consider doing the trade anyhow. You have solid WR depth with a hole in your RB roster. If you can afford to wait to see if he drops him, I'd say wait. In fact, if Tim Hightower is available on waivers, I'd say pick him up and tuck him away for later in the season.
