  1. I'd go with what you're leaning towards: Foster and Shiancoe. good luck.
  2. as a H. Ward owner and someone who finally dropped Edwards two weeks ago, I'd like to think Big Ben will have a good game and Edwards won't. But... the oddmakers have the Pit-Bal game at 33 and 1.5 difference, so Pit scoring about 16. they have cle-phi at 38, with phi 15 point favorites, so cle scoring 23 and being behind (meaning they will throw?). I think Dorsey is targeting Edwards (though he only had 3 catches last game to the top receiver at 5). It is on Monday night, so Edwards may get over his case of the suck. But because Edwards simply sucks this year, you definitely have a tough decision. I don't think you can go wrong (or right) with either one. I'd pick Edwards (and hate doing it but hopefully not regret it later).
  3. Starting RB: T. Jones and B. Westbrook Decision: Slaton v. Tenn D. Ward @ Dallas I'm a fan of "dance with the one that brought ya," so I'm leaning toward Slaton, who I've had all year. Picked up Ward two days ago. But TN defense is better than Dallas (not by much in the running game), and it looks like Ward will get the more majority of carries over Bradshaw. Dallas is also hit-or-miss. Slaton, however, is running incredibly well. Not sure what either team's game plan will be: anybody with insight into this? This game gets me to the SB. Post a link, and I'll answer yours. thanks.
  4. now that the season is over and i don't need to adjust my roster, i thought I'd look at some stats from the year. In my CBS league, the top 10 kickers in our league (Xpt =1 (accidentally put 3 originally), FG <30 = 3, 40+ = 4, 50+ = 5) were Crosby, Mason GB (126 pts) Folk, Nicholas DAL Brown, Kris K HOU Hanson, Jason K DET Bironas, Rob K TEN Gostkowski, Stephen K NE Graham, Shayne K CIN Gould, Robbie K CHI Brown, Josh K SEA Dawson, Phil K CLE (111 pts) The pts earned by these kickers were close to the following receivers (so 2-3 WR??) Engram, Bobby WR SEA (127 pts) Smith, Steve WR CAR Williams, Roy WR DET Holmes, Santonio WR PIT Driver, Donald WR GB Berrian, Bernard WR CHI (111 pts) the team stats for the kickers were (per ESPN) TEAM OVR PASS RUSH GB 4 2 26 DAL 2 4 12 HOU 14 9 24 DET 19 8 30 TEN 21 27 5 NE 1 1 10 CIN 10 7 21 CHI 25 15 31 SEA 12 10 22 CLE 8 11 14 So, in general, the best kickers were on teams that could pass well and not rush well. This is probably stating the obvious re: kickers, but, for some, it may be helpful. And I know it is only the kicker, but every point counts (and I'm going to look at different stats for each position, I just picked kicker first). hope this helps somebody. if it doesn't...sorry for wasting your click.
  5. to the above re LT: i had LT..and Brady..and AD...and lost in the SB I drafted this year based largely on the "understand your league's scoring' chart that Huddle provides. I saved the stats this year for each position. IIRC, top QBs, on avg, got more pts than top RBs; and RBs and WRs were a lot closer than expected. I'll put serious thought into drafting RB,QB,WR, but will probably do like last year and draft RB,QB,RB, WR b/c I (hope) this year was an anomaly for WR production. Understanding your league's scoring (and seeing which 'groups' of players score approximately the same throughout the year, so as to know how long you can wait before getting a particular position), imho, is very important.
  6. With the Pats closing in on an undefeated season and possible post-season and everyone talking about resting players because the main goal is to win the super bowl, I started wondering which one really is better: winning the super bowl or going undefeated? I use to think the SB, but now I'm leaning toward going undefeated. An undefeated season is so remarkable and rarely done--I'm pretty sure the Colts are not sitting on champagne hoping for a tie this year so there is one less SB winner.....Yet, ONE TEAM has gone undefeated in NFL history. But i guess the $, notch in the belt with the SB, winning "the big game" (huge for competitors) make the SB better. I'm not convinced either way, but if I had a chance to go undefeated, I'd sure as heck give it a shot and not sit the players. thoughts?
  7. I need LT to get me 25 pts; performance scoring. Brady helped but he had moss; AD didn't help at all. or Colston getting hurt....
  8. our league has 500 for 1st and 200 for 2nd, plus split 50/50 the trade money, which is $300. So there is a total $1000 in the pot, making the split 650/350 for 1st/2nd. I've scored 1657 to his 1339 and was 12-1 against him during the regular season. He offered 500/500, I countered 550/450, which we're doing. Plus there is a trophy. FF can go either way, so why not take a little more guaranteed money??
  9. so many games come down to the wire in the playoffs that if i was a coach i would not sit starters until the 3rd-4th qtr. of course, i'm typing on a keyboard and not holding a clipboard on a sideline, so what do i know...
  10. i hope you mean 30 pts and not yards, b/c I need 69 yrds total (well..79 now)...
  11. add another huddler hoping AD gets a few points--need 7. I also have taylor, but am going with AD
  12. been in 1st all season; pts leader. I never needed 40 pts from Brady for a win, but i got them anyway--i just needed him to be mortal today and chose him over favre and warner. Now I need AD to outscore Wash D by 4 to beat the 6 seed (who didn't even know he was in the playoffs, started boldin last week, and hasn't been to our website since november 18)
  13. AD to get 4 more pts than Washington D. I start either Favre or Warner instead of Brady and its not even a game right now...
  14. this is not a good week for him to give me a goose egg; I don't want ridiculous numbers, just any numbers! LT and Vikes AP better bring it or I'm done
