  1. I am the proud owner of Marshawn "Metal Mouth" Lynch. I kind of panicked a little when he had has little run in with the law in California. Nothing serious just a little pot smoking and an illegally concealed firearm. So I offered the Fred Jackson owner a first round draft pick in our rookie/free agent draft. He didn't bite on that. We are a 12 team dynasty league by the way. He offered me Jackson for Washington (I also have T. Jones, but am shopping him) and I decided I really wanted to back up my stud. Any opinions? Did I give too much? Does Jones have another season in him? Will the fantasy football gods smile upon my team this year? Thanks for reading.
  2. I've been offered the following: Ravens D/St Carnell Williams D. Rhodes for Ryan Grant The Ravens may be in a little discombobulation losing their def. coordinator and they have some contracts coming up that may or may not be renegotiated. Ray Lewis may not come back. Carnell Williams is a major injury concern although young. D. Rhodes is old as the hills on a pass happy team, although he does catch some out of the backfield. Ryan Grant was mediocre this season but has upside with his age and a growing offense. So would you do this? I am leaning towards no. Check out my signature for my current roster.
  3. I've been discussing the relative worth of the two players mentioned in the topic title with another team owner. I own Royal and he owns Stewart. I contend that Royal is worth more than Stewart due to the following factors: Royal managed to score 238 points this season in his rookie year as a WR2 behind Marshall and the fact that Jay Cutler is throwing him the ball, that alone is worth something! Now Jonathan Stewart is in a time share with Williams and he only managed to put up 160 points this season. Assuming that even if Stewart gets a better time split next year I don't see him eclipsing 238 points. I DO believe that Royal will continue to improve with regard to his running of routes and Marshall will continue to be double teamed taking pressure off of Royal. So I don't see a straight up trade for these two players making sense for me, I would have to have something to sweeten the pot so to speak. What I want to know from you guys is this: Fair trade Stewart owner needs more Royal owner needs more Thanks for your input!
  4. I wasn't able to watch this game here. I did put McClain in and man he just decimated my team. Negative fracking points! I'm just hoping he's not hurt. That said, I'm a Pittsburgh fan so when the Ravens have a bad day it is time for a little celebration. LOL.
  5. You've got some nice talent on your team. I'd try and package Matt Cassell and Wes Welker for a good RB. Sell Addai, he's just not performing this year. You need RB help. Is this a PPR league?
  6. At this point in the season not all is lost, you do have a winning record. Your team looks pretty good to me all the way across the board. I would start looking at the playoff schedule and seeing where the best match ups are and possibly dealing for some guys with better matchups during the next two weeks. Good luck!
  7. Hell yeah you do this trade! If you can get the guy to bite on that deal you are the MAN! I would not hesitate for a moment if he is willing to trade... is this a redraft or Dynasty?
  8. I too have Grant in a few leagues. I would be willing to trade him for Hightower at this point.
  9. Dynasty or redraft league?
  10. If this is a Dynasty I'd grab Hightower. The Edge will not be around much longer and Arizona is a team that I think is rapidly improving. If this is not a Dynasty then I think I'd pick up Thomas Jones. I too am wondering how all these guys are still available.
  11. I wouldn't panic right now either. I like Barber far more than Bush. Now if you can deal him for Bush and another player that may work out a little better, but I still wouldn't dump Barber. He's the Barbarian for Christ's sake, a beast, and I agree with the other posters that by the end of the year he will stand with the best backs in rankings/production. KEEP HIM!
  12. If you offered me Addai and McNabb for Slaton and Manning/Cutler I would decline in a heartbeat! I think Slaton is the real deal myself and I like both Manning/Cutler over McNabb. If you can get this guy to bite on that deal go for it! Good luck.
  13. There is not much that I can add here that wasn't said already. I think age is the key factor here. LT is on the way down in his career, that said he can probably play another 3 years or so. Addai is very young on a pretty good team. Injury is a concern for EVERY player so I wouldn't discount him on that alone. I think you should go for it... Addai will give you a good 5 or 6 years and I think his fantasy point production will be pretty good.
  14. I am definately watching the wire. We start 1 QB, 1 RB, 2 WR, 1 flex (WR/RB), 1 TE, 1 K, 1 IDP. I have to keep a backup at every position in order to have a legal roster. Any ideas on which players you think may be breakout players? I appreciate any advice.
  15. Changes to the scoring system in mid-season? This is totally unacceptable. This is my first year as a commish in a dynasty, and I also joined a 16 team dynasty as well (signature team). I know the guys I play with would be totally pissed if I changed anything in the middle of the season. Any change in the middle of the season may change who you would have drafted so it totally negates everyone's draft strategy. Granted, you say that it is just for fun and no money is involved... plus these are guys from work so I probably wouldn't get too worked up about it. I wouldn't join another league with the guy that is your commish.
