  1. Is the first round pick for a pick this year? If so where is it at in the first round.
  2. I'd pass. I had Maroney last year and I wanted to put a brick through my T.V. everytime I watched a NE game. Aside from the obvious passing every down (which I doubt they do this year), it was agonizing seeing Seau and Vrable come in for goal line work. You are stacked at RB. Maroney would get buried on your roster. See if you can get a more solidified WR in place of Maroney.
  3. I will probably get ridiculed for this, but I am picking Thomas Jones as my sleeper pick. The Jets have added Alan Faneca to their line which gives them an excellent left side. I am not expecting mind numbing numbers, but I do think he will perform a lot better than expected.
  4. I have watched a lot of Johnson's highlight reels. I have yet to see him break a tackle. He runs around people, not through them. You can't do that in the NFL like you can in college. This is where his teammate, Bennett and Reggie Bush have all failed on the pro level. They can't run around people, nor can they break tackles. Again, this guy is a track star, not a football player. Not too many of these combine heros turn into NFL success stories. There are a few, just not very many.
  5. I agree with JGarber. His name is in the headlines a lot, but there isn't a lot of substance to any of those stories. Outside of one single DUI charge, the only thing he's guilty of is being in a tumultuous relationship with a crazy chick. Even if he were in more trouble than that, he still has trade value in dynasty leagues. So outright dumping him would be ludicrous.
  6. Bronco Billy and Beer beat me to the punch. I have compared Chris Johnson and Chris Henry to Michael Bennett in a previous thread myself. They are track stars, not football players. I wasn't high on LenWhale White heading into last season, but I was wrong with him. Considering they didn't do much to upgrade the WR's, I anticipate Tennessee taking a ground and pound approach to every game this season. I would trust LenWhale as my RB2.
  7. They toss you because they don't like it when people try and 'buck the system'. They look at it the same as counting cards. I know it sounds stupid, and I don't agree with it myself. I have seen people get tossed for this exact same strategy and trespassed for 3 months.
  8. With all of the deals that these Dallas players have been getting, Jerry Jones must be pretty convinced that the cap is not coming back.
  9. Looks like your set to win right now. So this was a great trade for you. WIth this roster, you should trounce competition by 20 points a game (barring injury) for the entire year. You don't even really need to handcuff A.P to Chester considering you have S. Young as your RB4.
  10. I will cast a vote for MoJo.
  11. This may be a homer response from my behalf, but I think if he were going to play for any team in the NFC North other than the Pack, it would be the Vikings. We are closer to being a SB team than Det and Chicago by quite a bit. Also, I don't think Chicago has the cap to get him, but I am not positive on that.
  12. You are more than welcome to join my league and donate some money this season. Those are my thoughts as well, but I haven't really paid close attention to his situation this offseason. My strategy is to burn others cap space (as that is everyone's strategy) and I am hoping he flies under the radar long enough for me to get a pretty decent deal on him. I want to be in a position where it will be a low risk high reward.
  13. I don't do snake drafts anymore, all of my leagues are auction now. However, I always avoided going into a draft with that type of a strategy. I always took BPA. If I took RBs in the first two rounds, but there's a stud RB still on the board come round three, I grab him. The folks in my league that did go in with a position by round strategy ended up regretting it.
  14. I'll cast my vote for the first choice.
