  1. Shocker, although those mainline protestants actually did pretty well.
  2. I agree about the landfill part, but, umm . . . strains are not contagious.
  3. Um, he explicitly told you he's tanking? Time to immediately remove him from the league and have the commish take the team over until you can find a replacement. If it's a redraft league, you're not going to find one, but at least you should hopefully be able to trust the commish to run the team fairly.
  4. Umm, your top 5 receivers are Marshall, Wayne, Smith, Burress, and Owens. Your top 5 RBs are Slaton, White, M. Morris, Taylor, and Alexander. This is the biggest no-brainer in history.
  5. Keeper league and you're getting Rivers? Already sounds like a no-brainer, but let's look at the rest: Edge and T.O. should be at least serviceable for another year or two at most (T.O. is more than serviceable obviously). FWP is wearing down and starting to get hurt a lot, but Wayne (age 29) and Jacobs (age 26) have some gas in the tank. Considering your QB situation, you don't have much of a choice.
  6. If you're in a 16-team league, I'd say you have an average team.
  7. People are making way too much of his home/away split. It's really a [good rushing defense]/[bad rushing defense] split. His home games were against DET and KC, arguably the worst rushing defenses in all of football. His two crappy road games were against TB and CAR, arguably two of the best rushing defenses. His lone successful road game came at GB, a below-average rush defense. Sure, home/away matters, but the fact that most people value it over the quality of defense a player is facing just boggles my mind.
  8. McFadden is likely to see more touches as part of the original gameplan, though the Vikes could go way up early and rest AP, letting Taylor rip apart the Lions' front eight (nine?) and he is hurt, playing behind a healthy Fargas. Taylor's matchup is a little bit better, but I could easily see the Vikes feeding AP the ball 25+ times and Taylor like 5 or 6 if the game stays within 2 scores, though Taylor is healthy and playing behind an injury-prone AP. Scoring system is TD-heavy (only awards 100+ rushing or 100+ receiving, NOT total yardage, meaning 99 rushing plus 99 receiving equals zero points).

You mean like the one game he missed last year, and the one game he missed the year before that?
