  1. I was offered LT for SJax and Marvin Harrison. What do you guys think?
  2. Sorry, I didn't see the earlier post. My bad.
  3. Jackson to finally end holdout By PFW staff Aug. 20, 2008 The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported Wednesday afternoon that Rams RB Steven Jackson is ending his contract holdout and was expected to be at the team's facility this evening and on the field for practice Friday. The report also indicated that a new deal for Jackson was expected to be reached soon. All told, Jackson, who is expected to be the centerpiece in new coordinator Al Saunders' revamped offense, will have missed 27 days of practice, resulting in $408,132 in fines. There have been reports that Jackson has been working out on his own, but daily team observers believe it could take awhile before he's ready to handle the 30-carry workload that was the ideal plan for him going into Week One.
  4. Alright, so I have Steven Jackson and Clinton Portis as my 2 keepers in my league. Although I am a little worried about the Jackson contract situation in St. Louis, I am going to draft as though he will be available on week 1. So, I had to decide between drafting a QB or WR. In a league where we play 1 QB, 2 RB and 3 WR every week, I decided that a WR would be the way to go since Brady, Manning, Romo, and Brees were all kept by their owners. So, here are my top three choices of WRs availble to me with the first pick: Larry Fitzgerald Marques Colston Andre Johnson Who do you guys think I should draft? I am a little worried about Johnson with his past injury problems and his groin injury during training camp this year. I also worry about the unsettled QB situation in Arizona, which makes me a little leary of Fitzgerald. I am leaning toward Colston since he is the #1 guy in a pass happy offense with a top tier QB and Shockey added at TE meaning less double teams on Colston. Also, if Meacham plays like he did in the first preseason game, defenses will have to respect him and could mean even less double teams against Colston. What do you guys think? I am hoping to have a shot at Carson Palmer with the last pick in the second round of our draft since many teams will need to add RBs to their team. Thanks, Brian
  5. Well, I am in a keeper league which starts 2 RB, and I have him and Clinton Portis as my keepers, and I am considering drafting another RB witht my first pick in the upcoming draft to make SURE I have 2 quality RBs to start the season. I really hope something gets done with his contract before my draft on August 24th, because I would hate to waste the pick on another RB if he is going to be available for week 1. I am hoping this is just a way of avoiding training camp. I would much rather draft a top tier WR or QB with my first pick. Please sign a new contract SOON!
  6. Hey all. A new FF season is upon us. I have the first overall pick in a keeper league with standard scoring and 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, DST playing each week. My two keepers are Steven Jackson and Clinton Portis. I have the first pick in the draft and I am not sure which direction to go in. All opinions welcome. The best RBs available are Ryan Grant and Jamal Lewis. Do I take a RB and have three quality RBs to cover my bye weeks and protect me in case of an injury? My WR choices would be Larry Fitzgerald, Marques Colston, Chad Johnson, and Andre Johnson. My QB choices would be Carson Palmer, Ben Roethlisberger, Derek Anderson, and Matt Hasselback. I am not sure which position I should draft. I think I am leaning toward a QB and then I would choose between Palmer and Roethlisberger. But I am not convinced a top tier WR like Fitzgerald or Colston wouldn't be the way to go. What does everyone think? Thanks, Brian
