  1. Agreed - the analysis in this thread is right on. Moreno's value should be going up, and Tamme is a big upgrade at TE. For your trade partner, he's getting the best player (Hillis) This 2-for-1 makes complete sense
  2. I'd lean towards Holmes, but Manningham will have solid value while Smith's out You know that this story is based on two beat writers sitting around speculating? Rice 'story' There's no source cited. Would it make sense? Well... if Rice is improving, having him play even limited snaps down the stretch enhances his value. It's risk/return.
  3. This... As long as McNabb is playing, Moss will get a ton of targets - his one bagel seems an aberration. With Moore back at QB, you can flex Steve Smith confidently. Not sure what Wells gets you. After a bad matchup this week, Fred Jackson might surprise you
  4. Sanchez has started playing pretty well - he may have some trade value for a team looking for a better QB2 in a bye week. I'd keep Sanchez, play this week to win (you may need the win down the road), and remember that other teams will need to fill in on bye weeks as well If a guy like Hillis were (for some reason) on your WW, that would be a different story
  5. Trying almost the same deal - my opponent's got not much at QB, and it's a 14-team league. The deal first discussed - giving up MJD - that's WAY too much for only Ricky and Vick
  6. Just to confirm - you start 2 WR, 2 RB, and a flex, right? angelitto's analysis is spot-on - pretty much how I see it. Personally, I'd do the deal because I think that much of SJax.
  7. Yup it's Collins The Jets pass D is pretty awful, and their run D is stout. Collins has shown he can win games with his arm.
  8. You know, you've got a great point. The Jets make all pass offenses look great - and Gage has been great lately. Buckhalter may not be a terrible option, but you've got to tune into ESPN at noon (EST) to find out if Westbrook is active or not
  9. IF he plays, I agree - he tears the Seahawks up The trick is having a backup plan ready Zorn said that Portis will work out about 3 hours before the game (around the time of the 1 PM EST games). So I'd expect some info to come in around the start of those games - probably too late to substitute someone from an early game. For example, I'm sitting Westbrook and Buckhalter, and flexing Royal right now until I know about Portis. If Portis goes, I'll plug him in. MY only question is simple - if Portis isn't active, is it worth picking up Betts and plugging him in the lineup instead of Royal? (I like Royal vs KC based on what he did in week 1)
  10. I'd lean towards Grant as well - as good as Addai looked, the Houston D is pretty bad, and he hasn't done it against a solid D this season. Grant shredded the Bears last week - and NO's D is not the Bears.
  11. Cleveland's D is so bad - I might lean towards Daniels despite all of this. I know Scheffler had a big game against the Browns - I think they're pretty bad against TEs (That said, I've got Winslow and Keller - so it looks like I'm going with Keller unless Winslow makes a big recovery)
  12. I agree The worst-case scenario is if Reid activates Westbrook, but it becomes a RBBC. As an owner of both, I hope Reid sits Westbrook, lets him get more healthy, and gives Buckhalter the start Even against the Ravens, I'd start Buckhalter - if Westbrook is inactive
  13. I agree - Addai, Slaton, Westbrook in that order What is your format? 2 RBs, 2 WRs and a WR/RB flex? If you're asking about a WR/Flex decision, who are your other candidates? I'm starting Forte and Portis, and flexing LJ over Westbrook. I wouldn't sit Westbrook for Joe Schmoe.
  14. There is a story on Rotoworld indicating that you've made a wise choice: Brian Westbrook If he's shut down for a week or two, you look like a genius. I had thought about trading Westbrook - but now I'll stay put (can't trade a guy I know is hurt unless I disclose it) - if he can get back in a week or two, I'm better off. LJ will go for me this week in his place (and I always have Buckhalter, but not vs the Ravens)
  15. Watch the medical reports on Orton - make sure he's OK - but playing against St Louis makes a lot of players feel better. I'd look for Orton (and Forte) to put up big #s vs the Rams Cassel is the fashionable choice - and the Miami secondary isn't fantastic - but I see the Fins putting a lot of pressure on Cassel.
