  1. Fair point. I'll be honest; in two keeper years he has been my only good receiver - I always get stuck with wilting flowers like Torry Holt and Ocho as a WR1 otherwise. It's just that the lack of TDs really hurt; last season I think I only had one non-QB player score TDs for me through two weeks! Anyway, with the lack of sure-talent at the front of the draft I will give it some thought. Thanks.
  2. Yeah, no PPR. I guess my concern is that Welker's absolute ceiling is top 10 WR (he just doesn't get a lot of red zone coverage), whereas McFadden is either RB3 or RB1 depending on the state of chaos in Oakland. Thanks for the input!
  3. 12 Teams, typical QB,RB,RB,WR,WR,RB/WR,TE,K,DEF setup keeper league. I have this keeper choice to make: a. Darren McFadden b. Wes Welker c. Keep the draft pick (late 3rd round...but actually more like a late 5th round pick due to all of the keepers trimming the draft pool) I already have Forte and Rodgers as keepers. I figure McFadden will be available right around that pick, but so might guys like Derrick Ward or Roy Williams. Thoughts?
  4. It's not crazy. Hillis is like #9 in RB scoring for the past three weeks. He has a 100+yd receiving game. Shanahan is considering him as a possible RB/TE next season. Nobody else is healthy or legit. They're playing the Chiefs. I can see Gore as an option still - it may be the Jets but Gore can catch passes - but you're not crazy for starting Hillis. Just depends if you want to start your studs or go for upside.
  5. Scheffler for sure. Winslow is out for an unknown time and he has a 3rd string QB with like hardly any work for two years. The other guys give you a shot.
  6. Boss? In flex? Seems crazy. I'd start Gates out of those three.
  7. Well it seems that way, but I'm just thinking about it terms of schedule. Week 15/16 C. Johnson: HOU/PIT P. Hillis: CAR/HOU Addai: DET/JAX Grant: JAX/CHI Mewelde: BAL/TEN CJ might sit or be a no-start against the Steelers, so I'm thinking I would need to rely perhaps more heavily on Grant, and then possible BJack if there's a change in the ranks. Mewelde...is he even remotely startable those weeks?
  8. I feel better about Thigpen this week over McNabb, but I can see going either way. I just know how bad McNabb can be against a good team, even if Thigpen has Champ and the Broncos to deal with. Sucks to sit Johnson - do you not have a flex?
  9. 12 team league, I'm running heavy on RBs due to mixed performances. (2RB + 1 Flex per week) 1. Chris Johnson 2. Peyton Hillis 3. Joseph Addai 4. Ryan Grant 5. Mewelde Moore 6. Justin Fargas My question is, given Mewelde's tough schedule, does it make sense to drop him for Ryan Grant's handcuff instead? Much better sched for the Packers.
  10. Caps are a good way to not get answers. That being said, start Leon Washington unless the Giants rule out Ward. Jets are heavy on the run and Leon seems to keep scoring. For WRs, Lance Moore is a definite. Breaston or Cotchery doesn't matter too much, I'd guess Cotchery but if you want safer points Breaston would be your man - a sort of mini-Welker.
  11. Moss, Royal, Hillis. Yeah, Pierre has return yardage, but unless it counts for big points, I still think Hillis can have a bigger day.
  12. Pretty good thinking. Can't say I'd argue with your picks.
  13. Weird bonus structure. It's a gamble, but I'd probably start Romo every week over the other two guys, and you're only playing two RBs so you can probably spot-start your depth to finish the year. If you're already making the playoffs it may be questionable. If you're on the bubble, I think you have to make the deal just because of those two sweet matchups. You're overpaying, but at 6pts/passing TD, it may just be worth it.
  14. Hillis, no contest. Ginn: Needs strange play TDs Chambers: vs. strong pass D Rice: Raven's RBs mystery Hightower: Poor performances last two weeks Jackson: vs. strong pass D Hillis: receptions, rushes, TDs
  15. Personally I'd sit on the Westbrook/Buckhalter combo. The Raven's aren't exactly a good matchup, but I still like them better than the rest. I mean, does Morris get any work? Does Mason show up? Is Gage returning to normal? Brook/Buck sounds like more of a sure thing, in the sense of 50% risky vs. 80% risky.
