  1. OK, nevermind. He's showing 14 points right now. I guess Yahoo! just had some weird error. Disregard and delete if possible.
  2. Does anyone have any info on Ronnie Brown? In my Yahoo! league he's showing a projected points of 0.0. !!!!!!!!!!!! EDIT: Disregard, delete if possible. Looks like it was just a glitch at Yahoo! for a while.
  3. I really hope you're right...and I really hope those TD's go to Witten. My opponent has T.O.
  4. Here's the situation: I'm 2nd in my league, 1st in points, going into the first week of a 4-team playoff. If you're curious, here are the standings: [Team A] || 10-4-0 || 1198.55 points[Team B] || 9-5-0 || 1331.91 points[Team C] || 9-5-0 || 1316.34 points[Team D] || 9-5-0 || 1305.05 points I'm Team B of course. Here is my matchup for this week: My Team: Starters, Projected Points:[QB] Tony Romo, vs. NYG, 21.78[WR1] Randy Moss, @ Oakland, 6.86[WR2] Donald Driver, @ Jacksonville, 6.83[WR3] T.J. This is the first time I've ever done FFB, so I'm pretty inexperienced. Do you like Romo over Cassel? Especially with the recent news regarding Cassel's father passing away, I feel like Romo has got to be the one I start this week. I'm hesitant because the Giants eat up so many offensive lines, but it's really the only route I can take. I'm also happy that at least I've got one of the Packers receivers, since he's starting Rodgers; on the flipside, my opponent has T.O. Are there any other changes you'd make, maybe at WR?
  5. Same exact problem here; I posted a thread about this earlier (you can search for it if you want) and got pretty much an overwhelming number of Cassel responses. I'm going with Cassel and not looking back. I did a bit of research, too. In almost everyone's Week 14 QB projections and ratings, Cassel is in the top 7. In most, he's in the top 5. Romo sits just outside of the top 10 for this week (10-13 for most people). If you go with Cassel, you can bet that a lot of other people will as well. I expect Cassel to bounce back, and bounce back hard. Dallas-Pitt will be a tough game, and I don't see the score getting too high. Also, you can bet that Belichick will be almost ruthless this week...he hates to lose.
  6. After watching Slaton and Hillis this past week, I can't imagine benching them with such good matchups, so I agree there. I also think any team playing Detroit is a solid play, so Minnesota defense is a good pick. Even with the suspensions, you can look for good performance from any team against the Lions. I think either Bess or Toomer is a good pick up at this point. Bess has the better schedule looking forward, against 3 pretty sloppy pass defenses: Week 15 vs. San Francisco Week 16 @ Kansas City Week 17 @ New York Jets I'd pick up Bess and play him fairly confidently. Pennington is a good QB, and Bess has been ramping up his performance. Daniels is the best choice at TE. I think Collins is a must-start this week: "The Browns have lost Brady Quinn (broken finger) and Anderson to significant injuries. That means Ken Dorsey will start at quarterback against the conference-leading Titans. Since 2006, Dorsey had played in one game prior to his one-plus minute of play Sunday. In the past three years, he’s thrown four passes, all incomplete. He hasn’t started a game since 2005, when he started three for San Francisco." The Titans will eat him up. This means more possibilities for Collins.
  7. FWIW I'm benching Romo this week for Cassel and not looking back. I think you just need to make a decision and stick with it; I've been flip-flopping for a while now, and finally I just said "To hell with it," and started Cassel. All of your points made in Ryan's defense are valid, and I think your decision is based on your situation. Romo's performance is kind of unpredictable (for this game); the Cowboys could pass a lot due to Barber not performing, but even then, he could have a 200 yard game with 1 or 2 TD's or a 350-400 yarder with 3+ TD's. On the other hand, Atlanta's offense has done nothing but improve this season, and Matt Ryan is due for a "breakout" game. This is entirely possible against New Orleans, but keep in mind that NO has a relatively poor rush defense and Turner might see a lot of carries. Weather conditions are a pretty huge factor here, as well. Dallas might choose to stick with the ground game, which Pittsburgh could stuff pretty fast. Playing in a dome is a huge plus for Ryan. I'd say Matt Ryan is the better choice. Romo might have a big game, but so could Ryan anyway. All signs point to starting Matt Ryan this week. Let me know what you think, and what you decide. It's always interesting to see how people think about this kind of Stud vs. Matchup dilemma.
  8. Hey guys, I've got: Romo @ Pittsburgh Cassel @ Seattle Cassel has a much better matchup, but Romo is also one of the better QB's in the league. Who do you start here? If it's worth anything, Cassel's projected to outscore Romo by 4 points, but in the last two weeks Romo has beat his projections by ~10+ points. Also, is it a good or bad idea to start the Pittsburgh defense alongside Romo and Witten? I've got all three now, and am thinking about switching something up. My gut says no, though. At RB: Turner @ New Orleans Jacobs vs. Philadelphia Jones @ San Francisco Currently I'm going with Turner and Jacobs; I could see the NYG-Philadelphia game becoming a shootout. What are your thoughts? Thanks.
  9. Yep, I went with him at the last minute. Thank goodness for that. Still debating who to start at WR, and it's looking more and more likely that I'll bench Jacobs for Turner.
  10. I wouldn't drop Rhodes. Defenses are almost always hit-or-miss. I've got Pitt, arguably the best defense in the NFL, and they've had weeks where they produce 6 or 7 points and my opponent will have a huge game from his (much worse) defense. Just pick a team and stick with them. Rhodes could be useful if Addai gets injured again or starts playing like he did earlier this season. I just got bitten by releasing Mewelde Moore and watching FWP get injured again, so I'm trying to learn from experience. [Edit] dino88 makes a really good point, I would just drop TB. I guess that's what I was trying to say above.
  11. What makes you think that? He's been sitting on my bench for quite a few games now and has yet to really be productive. Is Denver really that bad?
  12. Is this a PPR league? I've got Witten (non-PPR), and am strongly considering benching him for Kevin Boss. Scaife has pretty limited numbers, though, so I'd still put in Witten. If it's PPR, I might be swayed to put in Scaife, as he gets a lot of touches some weeks.
  13. Non-PPR league, trying to figure out who to start from a lot of options. At running back, I've got: Michael Turner @ San Diego Thomas Jones home against Denver Brandon Jacobs @ Washington Derrick Ward @ Washington Maurice Morris @ Dallas Do I bench Jacobs this week for Turner? Turner's coming off of a sick week and played for San Diego, so I think he might get pumped for this game. Jones, as far as I'm concerned, is a must start at home against Denver. At TE I've got: Jason Witten home against Seattle Kevin Boss @ Washington Witten hasn't been productive as of late, and I don't see him doing too well this week due to his injury. On the other hand, how good is Boss going to be against a tough Washington defense? Finally, the big one, WR: Randy Moss home against Pittsburgh T.J. Houshmandzadeh home against Baltimore Donald Driver home against Carolina Muhsin Muhammad @ Green Bay Jerricho Cotchery home against Denver Mark Bradley @ Oakland Domenik Hixon @ Washington Hixon and Bradley were FA pickups. Who do I start this week? I feel like Bradley could put up good numbers against Oakland. Moss is coming off of a huge week, but he's up against Pittsburgh. Housh should do fairly well, although he has his on and off weeks, and Driver has hardly been putting anything out all season. What about Cotchery even? I'd appreciate your guys input on this. The Huddle seems to always come through for me.
  14. I'd go with Turner. Brown's production has been less and less lately, and Ricky Williams has been getting more touches.
