  1. Wel, I joined a few mock drafts to test out my strategy, and it worked pretty well. I missed Schaub in one draft, but otherwise, some solid teams came up. One trick is that the autodraft will fill your roster before your bench. So, you'll get at least one DEF, K, etc, no matter how you rank. At least I was able to limit it to one of each. I think I'm ready to go.
  2. For those that use autodraft, how much pre-ranking do you do? Do you have a strategy, even though much is unknown? Does my strategy below make sense? Here's mine(10 team league, ppr): I don't want any chance to end up with multiples of: K, TE, DEF. So... I took them all off the board except--H. Miller target round 10 and Cincy defense target round 15, no kicker. If I get shut out at any or all 3 positions, the waiver wire will suffice. At QB, I moved up Schaub to around round 3. I moved Rothlesberger up to about round 8 or 9. Either or both at those spots is great with me. No other QB's ranked. That's it. I took my shots at those four positions, and I'll get free agents as needed. Otherwise, I'll load up on RB's and WR's. I moved up some potential late-year producers, like S. Holmes, figuring I might end up deep enough at RB and WR to afford them sitting on the bench early. I welcome thoughts or suggestions. I do understand this doesn't apply to most of you hard core big money players. So, yeah, autodraft sucks; I get it, but that's how I'm playing. thanks
  3. That is genius! Will do next year. We had a couple sulkers who just quit covering their byes. Not only unsporting, and lame, but unfair to the other teams, who would like to see you beat a contender.
  4. vs. KC--W @ CAR--W vs. BUF--W @ SD--L Total points=116
  5. Shame on me for loading up on Cleveland Browns: Anderson, Quinn, Stallworth, Lewis (only Lewis remains). I started 5 waiver wire aquisitions from 9 players today. Still in the playoff hunt, though.
  6. Ozzy will be on the ESPN pre-game show, but his English will be so poor, they will use sub-titles, so the viewers can understand him. Also, the Dolphins will threaten to shut out the (Rams). Late meaningless TD to make it 30-7. -------9-7 (Rams) already...So wrong, and I called them the Cards; man I'm old...
  7. Tornado warning over Disney right now. Very windy, @25 mph on this (East) side of the state, at least.
  8. Your sig says Steelers; you know how tough they are. Duck Pitt with Johnson and start them both next time.
  9. I have both as well, but started Gore and Chris Johnson. Of those 2, I would have started Grant. He's getting better second half, and the Browns are melting down. I considered him over Gore, but can't sit my #1. Lewis was my #2; what a let-down. I had Derek Anderson, and Brady Quinn, and Donte Stallworth--all worthless. The worst part is, I am a Bengals fan! Unlike the Bengals, I can still make the playoffs, thanks to the waiver wire and some dim foes. good luck
  10. That's what I was thinking. I wish Colston was stealing balls from him, but Moore still looks like the man.
  11. Turner beat me almost single-handed, twice this year, and you want to bench him? If it was the Steelers, yeah, but the Chargers are a middle of the road run D. It's a classic overthink, IMHO...
  12. Smith for sure. If you are in a PPR league, you would probably take Welker. You could make a case for not starting Welker if you are projected a big underdog, or you need big points for a tiebreaker. Welker will get you 8 or 10 points maybe, like 7 rec and 60 yards. Doubt he will get 100 yd. bonus in this matchup, maybe a TD, but probably not. If you go against Welker, tough call. I guess Ginn, with the matchup, and Camarillo out.
  13. Yes, with the players you have to send out. Any way you set it up, the last guy in is pretty soft. Maybe you get more points off the waiver wire. Peyton Hills is available in my league; maybe a sleeper like that?
  14. Could you use LT, Ward, and McFadden, and leave those 2 on the bench?
  15. Oakland's O is sandwiched between the Rams and Lions, at 29th. ...mmm...sandwich... ugluglugl... They would need Marcus Allen and then some to be scary right now. KC would be my play; would you be shocked if ARI got 38 points?
