  1. I have 1QB 1RB 2 WR 2flex (RB/WR) 1 TE 1K and 1D There are 13 players in the roster, no limit to the # of position players. Top 20 scoring RB/WR for the last four years 2013 14 of top 20 were WR 2012 13 of top 20 were WR 2011 12 of top 20 were WR 2010 10 of top 20 were WR Unless a RB just drops in my lap. I think most of the time WR is the way to go at the flex.
  2. I think that's going to be the plan. Thanks for the input
  3. I play in a 10 team ppr league and only have to play 1 RB. How many should I put on my 13 man roster? We also use 2 flex (wr/rb) The ww is FABB, so I'm thinking 3 would be enough and then use the ww to go after any rb's there. Any thoughts?
  4. Thanks. I think all you need is one rb to hit and being able to mine the ww with blind bidding, this could work if i get stuck in the middle or the back of the draft.
  5. I play in a 10 team ppr league. We start 1 QB, 1 RB, 2 WR and 2 Flex (RB/WR) 1 TE. I've been reading about drafting WR's, if you fall mid to late in the order, it's a snake draft. Or even Jimmy Graham going 1st round this year. Since I only have to play 1 RB and let's say I can't get McCoy or JC in the first, this format setting looks good to go after 5 rounds have 1 TE and 4 WR's. This is close to the Zero RB theory. Last year in this league alone, if you looked at the top 20 scorers, non QB's, (RB/WR/TE) only 5 were RB's. I've always tried to get two WR's after three rounds in this league and even though i have never won the league, (finished 2nd 3 times) I have either finished 1st or 2nd in scoring the last five years. So I am picking players who score a lot of points. So with that being said, wouldn't it make more since to load up on wr's and Graham early and use later rounds for a QB and RB's. We also use FAAB for our waiver wire, so I will have money to spend, if I need to go after my one starting rb. Do you guys think this is a good theory? Thanks in advance for the advice.
  6. I've read DMD's book FF the next level, which was very good. But do you guys know anything about Johnathan Bales, Sam Hendricks or C.D. Carter's books? Just looking for some more info on drafting. Thanks
  7. 4pt for TD's. Romo has been lackluster vs Washington last two games. Cutler should have a great matchup and his WR's should have monster games. Am I over thinking this? How do you go with?
  8. Do the opposite is usually for players who end up drafting at the back half. They focus on taking WR's, a QB and a TE usually in the first 5 rounds. Then rounds say 6-10 just pound RB's. Looking for a high upside guy. Most guys look to get a stud RB, so by doing the opposite, you get elite players at other positions.
  9. Just wondering how it has worked out for teams that used this draft strategy. I know most teams start the playoffs this wk, but would you guys use this strategy again if you fall in the right draft spot, or is it more just a hit or miss strategy?
  10. The money league drafts are next month. Tried for Cook and Bennett but, they were nabbed just before my pick.
  11. 1st Lynch 2nd S. Jax 3rd Harvin 4th R. White 5th R. Wayne 6th Brady I thought getting Brady in the 6th was a steal. (4 points passing TD) Some talking heads say he hasn't got anybody to throw to, we'll see.
  12. I clearly stated on the front of the message board 10 team, non ppr. BYW, its a yahoo league.
  13. QB Brady WR Harvin, R. White, R. Wayne, Mike Williams, A. Boldin RB Lynch, S. Jax, Murray, Sproles, Ivory, G. Bernard TE Cameron K Hauschka D G. Bay I know TE is weak, but I like all my other spots, guess I could trade a couple rb's for a better upgrade at TE. Thoughts? Thanks
  14. Based on all the advice given, people are saying QB is deep, RB has plenty of backs and WR is deep. This just goes to show you that you can pick virtually any position during the first four or five rounds and if you pick the wrong player, you will not be successful. Every year there's RB's and WR's that "pop" during the season. People have arguments for Stud RB, VBD, Do the opposite, which you can win with them all, only if you pick the right players.
