  1. thanks for the advice fellas, put in the claim for brandon jackson just now.
  2. i got the #1 spot in the waiver wire should it be used on a brandon jackson or a mark clayton or should i hold off for now 12 team keeper league .5 ppr, start 1 qb, 2 rb, 3 wr , 1 te, k d peyton manning ray rice, mendenhall, reggie bush, hightower, donald brown bmarshall, roddy white, gaffney, lee evans, massaquoi celek, daniels k d i kinda like my team so maybe i should hold off on rushing to the wire and leave it for an emergency later on
  3. is it not a bright idea to start both carolina rb's in a 12 team league where you have to start 2 rb/wr flex positions along w/ 2 other rb's and 2 wr's. No PPR. made that mistake in a draft today and already starting to regret it.
  4. we started doing keepers in our league in 2008. rules indicate if you pick someone in the 4th round or later, you can keep him the next year for a pick 2 rounds earlier. thus in 2008, chris johnson went in the 7th, that manager got to keep him for a 5th in 2009 and 3rd in 2010. Andre johnson usually goes in the 1st round, definitely before the 4th round since 2009, therefore he could not be kept.
  5. the wife loves sports, got lucky i guess her first year i think in 2005 in our big money league, she rode shaun alexander's record breaking year and the chicago D to a fantasy title. she's been hooked ever since, she usually has a good team and made the playoffs every year but once. if welker and steve smith combine for over 170 catches this year, her team will finish in the top 3. love that qb combo, and who i think is the best te in the league in jermichael finley. and foster is her #3 in that houston offense, not bad
  6. 12 team keeper league, starting 1 qb 2 rb, 3 wr, 1 te k d pts are 4 passing, 6 rec/rush td's. 1 pt per 25 passing, 1 pt per 10 rush/rec, 0.5 per reception my team (keepers were rice, white, mendenhall) qb - peyton manning rb - rice, mendenhall, hightower, reggie bush, donald brown, isaac redman wr- roddy white, bmarshall, gaffney, lee evans, massaquoi te- celek, daniels d- chicago k - buehler her team (keepers were shonn greene, jamaal charles, steve smith nyg) qb - romo, big ben rb- shonn greene, j charles, portis, arian foster wr- andre johnson, steve smith nyg, wes welker, davone bess, julian edelman, james jones, laurent robinson te - finley k - akers d saints who's got the better team/draft?
  7. so i drafted last nite and fitz and calvin johnson were gone. didn't think peyton manning would still be there, so i had to take him at 12 and brandon marshall at 13. here's the rest of my team, start 1 qb, 2 rb, 3 wr, 1 k, d, te qb - p manning rb - rice, mendenhall, reggie bush, hightower, isaac redman, donald brown wr - roddy white, marshall, jabar gaffney, lee evans, massaquoi te - celek, owen daniels d - chicago k - whoever the dallas k is how'd i do?
  8. 12 team league start 1qb, 2 rb, 3 wr, 1 te, 1k , 1 d pts are 4 passing TD, 1 pt per 25 yd passing 1 pt per 5 completion 6 pts receiving and rushing TD, 1 pt per 10 yd rushing/receiving, 0.5 pt per reception got the 12th pick in this keeper league, keeping for a 3rd round pick roddy white, for a 4th ray rice, for an 8th rashard mendenhall players that will be available at that pick that i'm considering: romo, schaub, fitzgerald, marshall, calvin johnson so what should i do, take 2 wr's at the turn and have a pretty strong core of wr's or take 1 wr and 1 qb and look for a diamond in the rough 3rd wr later on. thanks in advance
  9. i'd be thrilled if he agreed to that but i doubt he'd give me his best keeper w/ regards to value for only a top 6 or so WR and a RB in the 20's? doesn't hurt to ask though. thanks for the advice.
  10. in a 12 team keeper league, starting 1 qb, 2 rb, 3 wr, 1 te, k , d scoring is .5 PPR, 1 pt per 10 rush/rec yds w/ bonus at 100 yds, 6 pt per rush/rec td. 1 pt per 25 yd passing w/ bonus at 300 yds 4 pt per passing td can keep up to 3 guys max and can trade other keepers for draft picks my options were: ray rice giving up my 4th round pick, can be kept in 2011 for a 2nd round pick rashard mendenhall for my 8th round pick, can be kept in 2011 for a 6th round pick roddy white for my 3rd round pick, cannot be kept in 2011 lesean mccoy for my 6th round pick, can be kept in 2011 for a 4th round pick jermichael finley for my 7th round pick, can be kept in 2011 for a 5th round pick i was all set to keep rice, mendy, and roddy. then i got offered to another team owner and we came up w/ me giving him ray rice he'd lose his 4th round pick but won't be able to keep rice in 2011 from our stipulations, and he'd also get roddy white and lose his 3rd round pick. in return, i'd get michael turner and lose my 2nd round pick and aaron rodgers and lose my 11th round pick. which side wins turner/rodgers or roddy/ray rice
  11. hey all -- in a 12 team league, starting 1 qb, 2 rb, 3 wr, 1 te, d and k. passing td's are 4, all others are 6. 0.5 pts per reception, and bonuses at 100 yds for wr and rb and 300 yds for qbs our rules state that a player selected from the 4th round on can be kept the following year for a pick 2 rounds earlier. for example, in 2009 i chose ray rice in the 6th round and will be keeping him in 2010 for a 4th rounder. one can also trade picks for players. for example i could give ray rice to another drafter for their 4th round pick in 2010, thus they would have ray rice but no 4th round pick and i would not have ray rice but would have 2 4th round draft picks. i can keep at most 3 players, but can trade away as many guys for picks as i want to. here's my options: roddy white (kept from 2008, would have to give up 2010 3rd round draft pick) ray rice (would have to give up 2010 4th rounder) lesean mccoy (would have to give up 2010 6th rounder) rashard mendenhall (would have to give up 2010 8th rounder) owen daniels (would have to give up 2010 7th rounder) jermichael finley (picked up as a f/a in 2009, would have to give up 2010 7th rounder) fred davis (same as finley) rice and mendenhall are definites. have no idea who to keep for the last one. mccoy's got the highest ceiling, roddy's so consistent and only gonna grow w/ ryan. finley is just a beast and i'm thinking he's a top 5 te in 2010. kinda wanna keep finley and hope somebody offers me their 3rd for roddy, and somebody else offers me their 6th for mccoy. decisions in our league our a little tougher imho b/c guys like chris johnson, rice, turner, mendenhall, benson, deangelo, knowshon, shonn greene, beanie for rb's, rodgers, schaub, rivers for qb's, desean, vincent jackson, austin, sidney rice, crabtree, nicks are all probably gonna be kept. pickings are kinda slim in our drafts. wow, sorry this is so long. any advice greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.
  12. took a chance and didn't take a running back til the 4th round. didn't take a rb that i'm currently starting til the 6th. went brady and 3 receivers w/ 4 out of the first 5 picks. dmc was my bust at 4 and then at 6, 8, and 10 took rice, mccoy and mendenhall. very lucky to say the least. lol at all the records you guys are throwing out, in my 12 team league we got some parity as well. 3 teams at 8-3, 7 teams at 5-6 and 2 teams w/ 2 wins. very strange year in our league
  13. randy moss, brady, ray rice. going into the year, thought my wr's would carry my team, but jennings has been except for two weeks a no show. roddy white has been okay. it's been my runnings backs that have been a pleassant surprise, rice and mendenhall.
