  1. My opponejnt saved me by starting: Rivers, SJax, LaFell, Gates, Crabtree
  2. I agree that the 'boys will lock down on getting gashed up the middle. I figure Martin will struggle to get past 3.5 YPC again this game. And I can't see him consistently beating Sean Lee for many catches. I'm starting him, but not expecting more than 70 total yds, maybe a couple recep & about a 25% chance at a TD.
  3. In a league where we use blind bidding only (no waiver wre, & no $0 bids), he went for ~23% of the owner's remaining budget (he had spent a little money prior to week 1)
  4. That's a good point, but is there some bizzarro version of the Rooney Rule requiring Tampa to interview these stiffs?
  5. Kubiak was quoted as saying he was gonna approach this week's game like any other...presumably referring to the need to get Yates as much work as possible leading to the playoffs. Since they have the #3 seed locked (cannot improve upon that either), I think it'd be monumentally stupid to play Foster this week. But what do I know? I'm not a genius NF coach
  6. I'll be really curious to see what Young's ADP is going into redrafts next year... Since Megatron likely gets picked in the top half of the 1st Rd (12 teamers) in many leagues, Young could be a nice consolation w/ upside after, say, Rd 7 or 8 (maybe I'm smokin' it & he doesn't last that long)
  7. My thoughts as well. Sanchise is a "league average" kind of QB; definitely not elite, but the worst of the worst either. I just don't understand the gameplans/play-calling that have him throwing it so much. It's happened plenty this year when they're in close games, & simply quit running the ball. And all the RZ love he gets drives me nuts. it's as if Rex/Shotty want Sanchise to have TDs on his stat sheet so they can point at it & say "see? He's a franchise QB!"
  8. Owned him last year.... After seeing how Arians wants to run that offense (Ben-centric & his love for MeMo at times), I decided this year I was staying away. Glad I did
  9. I wish I would've kept Tampa Mike Williams on my bench, splinters digging into his butt.... Bye, bye playoffs
  10. In the only league that matters to me, I've started only Brady & Megatron every week. My RBs have been a joke, and I choose the wrong one(s) most weeks; TEs are NOT mandatory, & we have 2 FLEX spots, so I've rotated Beanie/Wells/Shonn Greene/McGahee/DWill/Aaron Hernandez (also started Addai twice (did nothing @ Tampa & got hurt 1st quarter vs KC; dumped his butt thereafter). I started MWTB as my WR2 the first 3 weeks until I finally trusted Steve Smith, who I've started every week since (though likely to my bench week 15)
  11. Beanie's been killing me since he missed his week 3 game. Ever since then, I've had him on my bench when he has good games, & in my lineup the 2 times he hasn't been able to finish due to injury. I just can't trust the guy. Every other year I have a guy like this: don't trust him enough to start him when active regardless of matchup, so he blows up on my bench, then I chase points the following week only to have him stink up the joint/get hurt
  12. Starting him since Brady is on his BYE...I actually shot a hefty chunk of my remaining fantasy $$ on him (we use blind bidding only, no waiver wire). I liked the angle of him playing in Miami when they host a Gators '08 Championship appreciation. I'm not as high on him as many; figure he'll have something like 140 passing yds/60 rush yds/0 passing TD/1 rush TD/1 Int... With all the public hype he's been getting the last couple weeks in fantasy circles, I'm feeling even better about my expectation of mediocrity. Whenever a guy gets this much hype for a fantasy matchup, it seems to backfire more often than not. I like the kid though, so I sincerely hope the Denver brass gives him a legit shot the rest of te way to see what he can do, and to show improvement as the season progresses.
  13. Over-hyped QB, an o-line living on reputation from years past & an average at best talent at lead RB... What's there to like about this offense? Plus an O-coordinator who is so predictable, and whoever coordinates the running game (Callahan, right?) needs to be a little more creative as well.
