  1. If "free" is important to you, I second the vote for Yahoo as the best free league host out there. A bit more about Yahoo for those who may not know. The interface is nice and clean. It is easy see the weekly stats for any player - for every year of their career. Yahoo's stattracker is a great way to keep up-to-date on stats from all NFL games. Also, Yahoo has now reimplemented a report I love to help find emerging players - the "Last 4 week average points". Even for my league which uses MFL, I go to Yahoo and use that report when looking for waiver wire pickups.
  2. I like Owens for TE 7-10 this week. A few games under his belt. No drops last week. I think he will build on the last 2 weeks and post slightly better numbers than the last 2 weeks.
  3. Of these, I would personally roll with Owen. Then Miller.
  4. Ditto. I have a strong team sitting at 3-4. Second highest point total (by over 100 points) but sitting at 3-5 due to playing the 1st or 2nd highest scoring team most weeks. Brady, Orton McCoy, Bradshaw, Best, Blount, D Brown AJ, Nicks, B Marshall, P Garcon, M Williams (Sea), Demaryius Thomas, Danario Alexander Gates, A Hernandez Hanson Oakland Only 2 games out of the playoffs, but need to get busy today!
  5. I actually like the OP's formula. Having a bit of an idea of who will do better with more touches is a nice piece of info to have. Obviously we cannot control who WILL get more touches, but we can identify who is likely to get more touches - due to injury, ineffectiveness of player in front, etc. Often times there may be 2 or 3 players that seem to be trending toward more touches... this formula can make the decision of which to pick up a bit easier. I know it is a lot less scientific, but I like to look at average ffp points scored in my leage over the last 3 weeks. If we are in week 9, what a player did in week 2 or 3 is of no interest to me (exception being if the player was injured along the way and missed games). Likewise, looking at highest scores from only the last week does not give enough of a data set and leaves many chasing points. But a 3-week window is enough of a data sample in my opinion to spot a player truly trending upward. Many times over the years it has brought a player to the forefront for me who otherwise would not have been my top choice. As an aside, Yahoo used to provide this report (last 3 weeks average score), I used it to evaluate player in all my leagues - Yahoo, MFL et al. Sadly, Yahoo has taken this handy tool away.
  6. Good Call!! This is a good call - the problem is that the 2 tds and the missing yards are couched in the 4 missing carries - Stewart only got 16 carries (IIRC)
  7. You got more than smoke and mirrors, sir. Must have a howitzer or two hiding behind curtain #2.
  8. It's just the way the ball bounces. I am only playing in two leagues this year. In one, I have almost NOTHING at rb and besides Nicks not even a strong wr2. My TE are A Hernandez and Winslow. And yet, I am in 2nd place in my division with the 3rd highest points in a 12 man league. In my other league, I have a beastly squad made even better by good ww pickups turned into trades (eg, Lynch was picked up off the ww and then traded for Braylon Edwards. This week, Braylon and R Moss were traded for B Marshall). I have the 2nd most points in the league by a lot - 120 points. At the same time in this10 team league, I have the 3rd lowest points scored against me. And yet.... I have a losing record.
  9. INSANE drop.He is simply not dropable from a 20-man dynaster roster. I am assuming there will be waivers. Unless you are near the top of the queue... he will be gone before your pick.
  10. As you say, I am sure the OP intends only to look at the odds that an rb drafted high will not live up to his draft position. The reason why is not important to his discussion.
  11. The doctor has spoken, the matter is settled. Then at least we know that the doctor is not dumb. Condolences to the other fellow can't speak.... Yes, I have a dry sense of humor.
  12. No problem, happy to help. And for your next little tidbit... trade Sir, um... that rookie with the bum knee... Danario to me for Welker-lite Amdendola....
