  1. Absolute crap. Just updated to Explorer 9.0 because this site was incompatible with lower versions. EVERY single other webpage I use works just fine. I can't see live scoring for Fantasy Baseball ... it crashes, and I can't pick teams in my Pick-Em league on CBS through the website. I'd send in a distress signal but Help "goes through your League Commissioner". Really? An average Joe can't send in a request for technical support? it has to go through the commish? What a joke of a site.
  2. BAB - what would happen if the RB lost his helmet and in the act of forward progress after losing his helmet fumbles the ball? Then would you be championing forward progress after losing the helmet? It's a difficult rule to part and parcel every potential outcome and legislate away any potential negative consequences while preserving positive ones. Do we all think he deserves a TD in this instance ... yes ... but there are unintended consequences if that rule is modified and the next time it happens with the opposite outcome we'll have some screaming that they lost two points and their championship because of a stupid rule.
  3. Bull-shank move. You play PPR? If so he scored 13+ points last night and you have a case. If not a PPR league then you lose anyway ... drop it and don't play with those tally-wackers again.
  4. You heard incorrectly. They said McFadden would not START the game on Fox Pregame.
  5. Unbelievable ... C'mon. Cake walk schedule. All of the NFC West teams were still "in contention" but all are bad to moderately mediocre teams whose primary wins are agains each other. W - Week 1 - SD 8-7 Good talent with Mediocre heart W - Week 2 - @CLE 5-10 Getting Better but Bad team W - Week 3 - SF - 5-10 Bad Team, Horrible on the Road L - Week 5 - @IND 9-6 Good Team, Not Dominant team as they have been in the past L - Week 6 - @HOU 5-10 Decent Talent, Bad Team W - Week 7 - JAK 8-7 Average Team W - Week 8 - BUF 4-11 Bad Team L - Week 9 - @OAK - 7-8 Average Team, Good at Home L - Week 10 - @DEN - 4-11 Bad Team, Average at Home W - Week 11 - ARI - 5-10 Bad Team W - Week 12 - @SEA - 6-9 Bad Team, Average at Home W - Week 13 - DEN - 4-11 Bad Team L - Week 14 - @SD - 8-7 Good Team at Home W - Week 15 @STL - 7-8 Average Team W - Week 16 TEN - 6-9 Average Team that has mailed it in No question our win total was inflated by playing mediocre to bad teams and is the clear definition of a "weak" schedule. Only 4/15 with over .500 records through 15 games. I am still open to the idea, and most certainly hopeful that we have a top tier coach, but have a lean the other way. I struggle with the Jones versus Charles carry percentage. Although a strategy clearly to keep both healty (which that part has worked), there are just so many times within a game where it is clear (albeit clear to me might not be clear to others) that Charles should be on the field and and instead watches Jones totes the ball for 2 yards. I like most of the 4th down calls ... some of them are questionable and seem to be pre-determined ... a sign that he doesn't manage game situations very well. I think coaches in general should go for it more on 4th down. The Weis and Crennel additions, combined with the weak schedule have led to demonstrate the progress that we so want to believe in here in Kansas City. The draft last year was fantastic and I don't know whether to pat Pioli on the back for that or Haley, or a combination. I fear like others that the progress is short-lived and next year there will be a regression, primarily from facing better competition. In the meantime ... ride it while it's here. AFC West Champs and I'll take it.
  6. Up 8.1 points. He has Brees, I have Roddy White and Philly Defense. I'm counting on Philly Defense to have a great game here with Webb likely starting. 5 points QB TD, 1/50 passing yards; 6 points receiving TD, 1/30 receiving yards. Should be a battle to the very end on Tuesday night. If Brees throws more than 2 TDs without White doing much I might be in trouble.
  7. They showed a camera shot from behind on Janikowski's first NFL punt ... Davis would make millions advertising on that wide billboard.
  8. I have one Free Agent move left in a league ... and yes this is an 8 team league. James Stewart is still on the potential waiver wire yet I have Hillis, Bount, Charles, and Torain to choose three from so I don't really think I need Stewart. He is struggling to find a flex option and if he is on the ball, Stewart will give him a 5-6 point advantage over his current option. Deion Branch is also out there and with my WR options as White (given), Ward, Marshall, and Stevie Johnson, Branch is looking like an attractive option to gain me 3-4 critial points at the WR position. My question is not really advice on who to start, or who to pick up, rather: 1. Do I gamble that my opponent is not going to see that Stewart is out there and strengthen my own team: or 2. Pull the proverbial cO$k block and pick up Stewart even though I doubt I will play him with my options (would be considered as an alternate to Charles as this is a TD-weighted league at 30 yards per point). Am leaning towards the block as I can justify this to be a 5 point swing even if I don't play him on my team. Branch would be a likely 2-3 point swing over Ward, Marshall, or Johnson (though this would be a REAL swing and if he's not on the ball, maybe he doesn't pick up Stewart). Thoughts?
  9. I was reading the topic and this was the first one that came to mind ... detlef wins hands down ... Sharpe and pick any other two. He speaks like he has a case of skittles in his mouth and would try to talk over any of them. "Though not a booth guy (and someone has already broken the seal on that requirement) Shannon Sharpe. Sorry, if you have a speech impediment, you should not be in broadcasting. That goes for what's her face on NPR. What the hell is she doing with a radio show? Not that he (or she) doesn't come up with worthwhile things to say, the world is not lacking for people who are capable of talking that we need to have you do this."
  10. I hate not having access to my Ticket on Sunday ... though watching the FOX game from Hawaii so shouldn't complain too much. Santana Moss ... is he not playing, just ineffective today? Thanks.
  11. My opponent had Brady go off so in turn I need a big point week. Steve Smith is out, Jabar Gaffney is guaranteed to get me some yards, but Randy is the most likely to explode ... if he catches one he'll get two or three ... and against the Texans. So there you go.
  12. So you run TJ once ... didn't work, run your not so limber QB once ... didn't work, throw the damn ball once ... didn't work. Then the best you can do is Battle? It's been beat to death but C'mon ... Charles needs to get at the very least one shot on a sweep to the corner. Yellow Submarine??
  13. Let's look at it from touches and see what Haley sees Charles: 15 touches, 100 yards Jones: 19 touches, 32 yards There it is. I see it now. Of course I'm into my second case of Boulevard Wheats. What's Haley/Weis' excuse?
  14. Exactly ... imagine what they could be doing using the right mix. The right mix is not Jones for 0,1,2,3 on every play. Charles can get a single yard and has proven it moreso than Jones. Put him in for some 3 and 1, 4 and 1 opportunities. That said, nice catch Moeaki ... he is a stud.
