  1. Using any kind of point differential to break the tie is an absolutely laughable idea. There is absolutely no reason to encourage running up the score. Rewarding a team for winning by 50 and punishing the other for winning by 40 is just idiotic. Hell, why even have a W-L record. Let's just have a season point differential. "The Longhorns come into today +745 and the Sooners come in +680, should be a brutal battle as the Sooners look to make up ground."
  2. Is Cronell going to give Lewis his typical load of carries this week? Or, will Lewis in effect be punished for post game comments?
  3. I'm leaning that way, thanks. BTW, sorry mods, just realized I posted this on the wrong board.
  4. Who do you go with today? Chris Johnson is my other back.
  5. The guy is managing within your absurd league rules and it seems like a decent strategy to me. Everyone making the playoffs is for 6 year olds. You should take solace in the fact that he will be forced to play the #1 seed.
  6. All I can say is that I'm glad I still have Jamal Lewis on my roster after trying to trade him for a WR upgrade. The huddle has helped bigtime this year with my midround selection of Chris Johnson after going Jackson and Lewis among my first 3 picks.
  7. Which of these 3 will be the most productive WR from today through the remainder of the regular season? Marshall has his bye this weekend, Johnson has already had his bye, and Boldin has injury concerns but the Cards have had their bye too.
  8. Is Roy Williams a diamond in the rough right now? Amazingly I actually tied this week despite the Roy Williams goose egg, but I can't help but think that Roy and Romo will get on the same page and rack up some numbers during the second half of the season. I'm currently 3-3-1 and desperate for some WR productivity. I'm looking at trading my #3 RB (Jamal Lewis) for a stud WR. What do you guys think?
  9. Thanks, I've put him on the block and will start proposing trades if he garners no interest.
  10. Come on guys, I'm dying for some advice here.
  11. I am in a pretty standard performance league which starts 1QB, 2RB's, 2WR, 1TE, D/ST, K Relevant members of team: QB: Drew Brees, Delhomme RB: S. Jackson, C. Johnson, J. Lewis, R. Rice WR: D. Avery, R. Williams, B. Berrian, C. Stuckey TE: Dallas Clark As you can see, I am solid at QB and RB but absolutely terrible at WR, and Clark hasn't done much either. Should I try to move J. Lewis for a top 10 WR? Both Jackson and Johnson have had their bye so if they stay healthy it is possible that Lewis will only start for me one or two more times. I recognize the health risk and the need for a solid backup back, but the WR position is CRUSHING me. I'm embarrassed to admit I started Roy Williams over Berrian. OUCH!
  12. Why would a player with a contract get an insurance policy? I don't even know how that would be written.
  13. It is hysterical that David Carr has a job in the NFL.
  14. This is totally laughable. Suddenly Texas winning at KSTATE isn't a big game? How was TTech a "bigger" game than KState? Geez, if Tech was a big game why weren't NU, and A&M big games? If UT losing to Tech was a big game, than I submit that OU lost two of its biggest games. Both in which Tommie Harris did absolutely nothing. Please remind me what I initially posted that made you feel like I was inferring this. I initially said I WAS NOT touting Wright as an All-American, just a position comparison to Harris. I think SI should be embarrassed that Tommie Harris is second team and Cory Redding is merely honorable mention. Another totally assinine statement. Wright was the Big 12's freshman of the year. Coming out of Highschool he was the number one rated DT in the nation. Barring injury he will be a #1 draft pick in a few years. FYI Wright had a better freshman season than Harris. Precisely, and he had a bad season because of it. Now, how in the hell is this an excuse for making him a second team all american? Isn't this an honor that is EARNED on the field, injury or no injury? Him having an injury doesn't enable him to be held to lower standards. That is no freakin excuse. Tommie Harris didn't have a good year.
