  1. Huddler: I would agree that Belichick is definitely likes to mix it up although he seems ok with Ridley having most of the work. Bolden will be back soon (not sure in what capacity) but you have a good point that Vereen and Woodhead are both right behind him. I think the idea of using Bryant as trade bait is interesting, I hadn't considered it. What worries me about him is that Romo tends to wan as the season carries on so Bryant may have already had his best game so trade bait might be the best. If I play him it will probably be by matchup. I still haven't decided yet but I am leaning toward going through with it. Thanks for your comments!
  2. Soldier: Leage settings: Non-PPR, QB 2RB 2WR TE Flex DEF I agree about Johnson, he worries me as well. He has risk but he also has (I think) enormous upside. I guess every player does, but the CJ-problem as you described is quite troublesome. On the other hand, I am fairly confident the Ridley will continue as he has so far, or perhaps slightly degraded, as the season continues. As a combined offer I think, Jones-Drew/Williams for Johnson/Ridley is probably worth it. I would also concur with your thoughts on Bryant's consistent upside compared to Meachem who has also been inconsistent thus far. Still undecided but thank you for your comments!
  3. The trade: Cam Newton, Reggie Wayne, Vernon Davis FOR RG3, Kyle Rudolph Your current team: Cam Newton is averaging just over 21ppg, though inconsistent, over the best 4 of 5 games he has played so far. Reggie Wayne is averaging about 15ppg (if you exclude Week 3 vs. Jacksonville) but that is probably higher than you should expect him to average for the rest of the season. Vernon Davis is averaging about 11ppg so far (excluding Week 4) and that is the upper limit of where you should expect him to perform for the rest of the season. The proposal: RG3 is averaging just over 28ppg if you remove the week 5 performance vs. Atlanta that he left the game due to concussion. You can probably expect 25-30ppg through the rest of the season. Kyle Rudolph is averaging just over 10ppg if you discount the abysmal performance in Week 4 vs. Lions. This is probably the upper limit of where you should expect him to perform. Since the trade is 3 for 2 you would also have an extra spot on the roster for matchup-based pickups each week. Conclusion: Although you might lose some points, if RG3 can continue to perform the way he has then this is a solid pick. As you said, Newton is not perfoming consistently. The Panthers have some offensive issues vs. the Redskins seem to have their offense pretty well under control. Also, Pierre Garcon is due back in the coming weeks which means an additional offensive weapon for RG3. Since it looks like you have a good handle on the WR position you can probably assume minimal impact and the TEs are comparable. This is a close one but I think I would do it. Check out my quandry: http://forums.thehuddle.com/index.php?/topic/389540-maurice-jones-drew-deangelo-williams-robert-meachem-for-chris-johnson-stevan-ridley-dez-bryant/
  4. Agreed. The wind can play havoc on a Kicker's ability to perform and from what I understand it was pretty windy. I too have both Kickers and I intend to keep both for one more week. If you have the roster space you should do the same. Zuerlein will probably have more opportunities (especially at range) this year than Janikowski but Janikowski is the more solid pick. If you have to drop one, I would recommend Zuerlein.
  5. Hardesty: Colts are giving up near the most rushing yard per game so far this year (159pg overall and 195pg for the last 3). The problem is that all the news indicates that Trent Richardson will be back at the start next week so Hardesty will probably get next to nothing in terms of opportunities. Daryl Richardson: His carries will increase as the season gets older but he will still share time with Steven Jackson and Packers are giving up about 110 yards per game (fewer than 80 per game for the last 3). LeGarrette Blount: He is second (as backup, not timeshare) on the chart after Doug Martin but Saints are giving up 170 yards per game (160 per game over the last 3) so there should be plenty of opportunities for him to do something this week but I wouldn't expect that to continue. Out of the three, my choice would be: LeGarrette Blount.
  6. Current: Maurice Jones-Drew, DeAngelo Williams, Robert Meachem FOR Proposed: Chris Johnson, Stevan Ridley, Dez Bryant I am currently failing at RB and I need some help. I give moderate value to Johnson and Ridley so my thoughts are that exchanging Jones-Drew (who is good but hasn't had that great of a season so far) for Ridley (who has done well in NE's traditionally pass-heavy offense) and Johnson (who looks like he may have finally figured it out) is in my favor. I figure Williams probably isn't going anywhere this year since the Pather's backfield is a mess and he is currently sharing time with Stewart. I don't need the extra help at WR but I think Meachem for Bryant is a really good deal. Thoughts???
