  1. Took some off season moves to get those two, gave up 4 picks total but had extra's with moves I made last year. Took Henne with my 2nd 4th round pick and took a chance with Kaepernick in the 11th. With 39 QBs on rosters, everybody is looking for gold.
  2. I'm in a 14 team league that uses 2 QB and both of mine, Rodgers and Ryan have the same bye week. I don't want to use an early pick to get a QB for 1 week when I could get a player that will play every week. Any thoughts on a backup QB that will have a starting job by week 8? I'd say that Alex Smith won't have his job by then and either Kaepernick or McCown could have the job, any others?
  3. I get to choose one of the following RB to complete a trade. Tolbert - back up Addai - injury x2 now Ricky Williams - more of the same Who has the better value down the road? I'm leaning toward Ricky, none will be a starter but possible more trade bait later .
  4. Looking at the way those two finished last year. In the last 8 games Smith had 671 yds rushing, avg 21 rushes per game, avg 15 rec yds per game, 4 td with a rush td in the last 3 games and averaged 14.39 fantasy point per game in my leagues scoring system. He only had 3 games under 10 points in the last 8 games. Johnson had 602 yds rushing, avg 16.125 rushers per game, avg 21 rec yds per game, 5 td and averaged 16.4 fantasy points per game. He had 4 games under 10 points in the last 8 games. To me it looks like Smith finished stronger and Johnson will still have to share with White who has something to prove this year. Smith should not see his number of touches go down. In my league last year, the difference per game between these two was only 3.18 points I'm not one to go with my heart but after really crunching the numbers they are pretty close, at least how they finished last year. Either of these two will be my RB2/3 with Thomas and just supporting Turner so I think I need to go with consistency in a support role than a roller coaster. The ease of schedule looks to lean slightly toward Smith as well so I think I need to against the grain and go with Smith. Thanks for your input guys as always.
  5. 14 team, start 2 QB performance based .5 PPR league. I was given a choice between RB C. Johnson from Tenn or RB K Smith from Det to get in a trade. At first I was ready to jump on C Johnson but I just don't have a good feeling about him this year. I really didn't watch him much this preseason because he was kept by another coach. I'm also a Detroit fan, (insert laughter here) so I've watched them this preseason and did like what I saw from Smith. I do like Linehan there and his track record with feature backs from Minn and St Louis and think Smith has the better upside as a keeper. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
  6. By the numbers in my league last Gonzo was #1 and Carlson was #8. Per game he gave up 6.125 points per game to Gonzo. Witten was #2 and there was only 2.6 points per game difference. Carlson only started 9 games last year and even with Housh there now, he should still do well. I'd much rather have depth at the WR/RB spot then waste an early pick on a TE for 2-6 points difference per game.
  7. I'm in a league where every yard is a point. Rushing, receiving, kick return, punt return and passing yards, all 1 point. This is going to be a crazy high scoring league. Here is what the final stats looked like last year. RB 1 Leon Washington 2389 pts 2 Sproles 2337 pts 3 Norwood 2172 pts 4 Peterson 1953 pts 5 Turner 1838 pts WR 1 Breaston 1936 pts 2 Royal 1859 pts 3 Higgins 1852 pts 4 Andre Johnson 1623 pts 5 Hester 1617 pts I have Sproles, Norwood, and Higgins and after watching the game tonight will probably make room for Washington. WR Joshua Cribbs is one more that I'm thinking about are there any others that could put up some serious total yards. Thanks for all your input guys.
  8. I'm in a 14 team league, start 2 QB's and keep 2 from the year before and you can only keep a keeper for 2 years. We have really active owners and it's the best league I'm in. WW is thin, you really have to do your homework to stay ahead of these guys. It's the 10th year of the league and it just gets tougher and better each year.
  9. 1. What was your draft position and who did you draft? 11 2. What was your regular season record? 9-4 3. What seed were you in your playoffs?#1 4. How many players did you start in your SB that you actually drafted and who are they?Westbrook 1st, Andre Johnson 3rd, Chicago D 6th, LenDale White 7th, Kevin Jones 9th, Jeff Garcia 12th 5. What were the key free agent moves you made? Kevin Walters off WW and playing match ups with my Kickers last 5 weeks 6. What were the key trades you made?Edge for Derrick Mason in week9 7. What was the line up you started in the SB? QB: Garcia (benched Favre) RB: Westbrook, Jones, White WR: A Johnson, Mason, Walters TE: Boss(glad I didn't need him) D: Chicago K: Kaeding 16 team league PPR start QB, 2 RB, RB/WR, 2 WR, WR/TE, TE, D & K After getting Johnson back from injury and the trade for Mason those 3 were amaging with it being a PPR league. Rode Favre all the way to the Superbowl and had to pull the tirgger on benching him because of the weather. Beat my opponent 140-116. All 16 teams representeda team in the NFC, and my Detroit Lions won the Superbowl, so you know it has to be a fantasy world for that to happen. Thanks for all the info and advice everybody, couldn't have done it wihtout you guys.
  10. I just lost Roy for the season and have a free roster spot. I've been thinking about grabbing a back up QB that might actually play in week 16 or keep someone else from playing them against me even. Cassel, Rogers, and Sorgi are all out there. I have Peyton, and Palmer and we start 2 QB's. I'm sure Palmer will play in week 16, Peyton, maybe maybe not and that could put Sorgi up top just for insurance. Any thoughts?
  11. Any idea how long A-Train will be out? Will he be back this year and will he be back before Lynch? I have A-Train but not Lynch, and just need RB help so would pick up Jackson if he has a couple of good weeks of playing time in him, but if A-Train comes back next week I'll just wait, I don't need to win this week, it won't change where I end up in the playoff, but I need a starter next week. Yes I know I'm hurting badly right now for RB's see sig.
  12. I am hurting badly at RB and grabbed him after he was traded with the hopes that he landed the starting job. With Graham playing so well and Pittman returning will he see any playing time? Currently I have Jacobs, F Taylor, Jordan, Keith, Bennett, and Turner. I'm hoping that Keith will get some serious playing time during my playoff run, to pair up with Jacobs, Turner I'm holding on to because it's a keeper league and I have high hopes for him next year. Bennett seems the least likely to have any value for the rest of the season, I need to drop someone to get WR Andre Johnson off of my IR. Any thoughts?
  13. In week 4 I dropped Betts for him in one league and in my big money league traded V Jackson for Evans the week Chambers got traded to SD
  14. 16 team, 1 point for 10 yds rush/rec. 1 PPR. Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 1 RB/WR, 2 WR, 1TE/WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 D For RB's I have Westbrook, K Jones, White, Jordan, James, and Keith For WR's I have Walter, V Jackson, Randle El, Andre Johnson IR I have been using 3 RB every week and it has paid off and now that K Jones is full time again I feel like I can afford to move James or Jordan and was offered Derrick Mason, 13th WR in this league, for James. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.
  15. Starting 3 RB, 1/10 yds rush/rec, 1 PPR. Starting Westbrook, and Jordan for sure. Need to decide between : James @ Balt White @ NO on MNF Thanks in advance!
