  1. Perfect response Steel. Tuck pointing is the correct term. It appears from what I read here that age has made the mortar deteriorate. I would also investigate the exterior joints because they would have used the same material on the outside as the inside.
  2. You're welcome. I see that my writing technique of a 6th grade level for "bushwacked" to comprehend certainly paid off.
  3. Yup. My architectural firm in central Ohio is clickin full guns! And just hired another Technician.
  4. Bring back Debtors Prisons Or Public Stoning. Put it on Pay-per-View, charge the throwers per rock, stone or boulder and all proceedes go to paying the shmucks mortgage.
  5. When the smokers stop smoking the taxes generated from a pack of smokes disappears. Our government (state and federal) has become dependant upon this tax base. What will be taxed next? I seriously doubt they will have any tax cuts...they never do. I thought bars, restuarants, etc. were private establishments. Another way of "Hiya, I'm from the government, I'm backed by crying 'ss, flamin, liberals, and I'm here to help ya." F''k that. Stay away from me. So, when all the smokers stop smoking (or are dead from smoking ) we'll be sitting in that bar or restuarant, breathing stagnant, recirculated air (because the establishment used too many carbon credits from the previous month) drinking one beer costing $29.99 a bottle. Only one beer or whiskey because our government has now instituted a one drink maximum. Oh yeah...I do not drink or smoke you dumb 'ss morons.
  6. A Title Search would probably reveal a "Non-Compliance/Conforming Structure."
  7. It sounds as though A.CEO is having problems with the Field Inspector. From my previous post contact the CBO and have a "face-to-face."
  8. If a City official "stamped" your plans and issued a Permit Number you have a Permit for Construction. What you probably do not have is an Occupancy Compliance Certificate and/or Final Approval due to the moron doing the inspections; A case of "I is a Building Inspector and I is more inportaint than you" syndrome. You sensed the attitude and tossed him on his ear. A Building Inspector must base field changes, his observations, etc. on Building Code Sections and his changes must be in writting. Contact the Chief Building Official (that's probably the person that approved your original designs) and ask for a meeting. Keep us posted.
  9. And what you have typed is clearly the answer. I answered the question with Post No. 530. Like I typed before, mine is just as plausible, or down-right ridiculous, as the spew you type.
  10. Plenty. A version for this king, that ruler, that country, this time period, that time period... A book of short stories for the sheep to follow for they dare not think outside the leather sheath it's wrapped in.
  11. The human element. Don't do as I do...do as I command. Doo Dee Doo...Doo Dee Doe...
