  1. I hear a lot about the potential of Curry if he's healthy but he's had a 7 year run of bad luck, so I'm skeptical at best. I also hear glowing reviews about Eddie Royal but I don't know anything about him nor had the opportunity to see him play. Anyone know anything about Royal or his outlook for the upcoming season? I'm looking for a serviceble 4th/5th WR.
  2. MYTH REVEALED: When it counts, the SEC spanks Big 10 A$$.....consistently. Send a new one next year, this one is getting tiresome
  3. The field of play never lies...... The "championship" game was eerily similar to last years' contest, both the way it began and ended. The backtracking and excuses may now begin along with the prognostication for next year. I sincerely hope that the Big Ten does return OSU to the championship game next year; I have equally high hopes that the SEC introduces them to UGA (they're not losing a lot of talent this year either). Congrats LSU Alums & Fans!!!!!
  4. The bias is palpable. Again, we can pick this up when the supposition is moot if you're game. If what you say is true, we should have plenty to debate for the here and now. Playing it out on the field never lies.
  5. Nice try, but you're referring to the teams regarded as being in the top 6 Big 10 teams against the bottom 4 SEC teams and they still managed a win. Catch the logic now? Place the same 3 Big 10 teams you tout against LSU, Florida, and Auburn of the same year search your own knowledge of football and tell me what you believe the outcome is. Let's compare apples to apples realistically. I'm not saying that the Big 10 is totally crap, but these two conferences like all men are not created equal. Simply real talk...
  6. Mmm... facts LSU has faced 6 ranked teams thus far this season, losing to 1, Kentucky OU has faced 2 ranked teams winning both, but losing to an unranked Colorado team OSU has faced 2 ranked teams, losing to an unranked Wisconsin team Many here are saying Georgia would destroy LSU. Interesting, so what would they do to OU/OSU? Ergo, give me ANY SEC team against either OU or OSU and once again it's a wrap. It's easy to look consistent when you're challenged once a month -maybe- on your schedule. Playing it out on the field never lies. These same OU and OSU programs were supposed to be class of college FB in the past several years, right up until they actually played somebody. Reputation and past accomplishments never beat anyone, especially if you're playing a school from a conference that pits the best of the best against each other EVERY week. Can't wait to pick this one up in January. Sad though, I was looking forward to the "long layoff" diatribe again to explain away a beautiful beatdown.
  7. Need to backfill my lineup. I picked up Brees last week thinking he would turn things around after the bye; after watching this weekends performance, have very little faith that will happen any time soon. Derek Anderson and Kurt Warner are available on the WW; wanted to get opinions on which QB has the better performance outlook going forward. Also what do you think of dropping Jerious Norwood for DeShawn Wynn?
  8. Nope, Bonds' guy is in jail; Roger Clemens is the guy to get in touch with
  9. Well said and deadly accurate. OSU....THE laughing stock. The Big 10 send their best to get slaughtered whilst crying about being the top 2 teams in the nation. Boy were they wrong. Step away from the Kool-Aid Big 10ers the SEC is NO JOKE!!!! Top to bottom more ranked teams during the course of the year than ANY other conference. Simply fact year after year! Southern flavor for ya'....."Ya'll gettin' stomped!!!!"
  10. C'mon and let it go... ND came into the Georgia Tech game SUPPOSED to beat them; ranked #2 (miraculously behind the team that eviscerated them in bowl loss #8) and barely got away with a win. Penn State was ranked 19th and still finding their identity when ND thrashed them -- a good win nonetheless. Not sure where you're getting the Purdue, Navy, UCLA win being good wins unless you've included UCLA based on it how Bruins finished up because they were not considered among the elite at the time ND beat them. ND hasn't beaten a top 10 team in two years. Not sure why Quinn is lauded so much because he has solidified his position as colleges premier choker on the grand stage. He gets all the pub leading up to game time but no amount of pub can make someone great; you have to produce in pressure situations (see Ryan Leaf & Heath Schuler). I'm sure that Quinn is the greatest QB since Y.A. Tittle, fact is he hasn't proven it when it counted. REALITY: 3 Top 10 Opponents in 2006 resulted in a combined 132-59 shellacking.
  11. I have the same decision to make, other than a WW pickup. However, if I decide to roll with what's on my roster already I think I'll go with Cutler this week. On average he's scoring better than Eli at this point, the Denver playbook is opening a bit more each week, and Cincy can be passed on.
  12. Thanks Splotchman -- I like your logic. Good luck to you as well this week!
  13. The QB position is the only question mark in my line-up this week. Would very much appreciate input on this. Eli vs NO (too inconsistent the 2nd half of the season and I have trust issues with him right now) Cutler vs CIN ( I like him and know that he will be good-to-great in time, but the 1st yr mistakes make me iffy on him for this game) The QB's below are available on the WW and I'm considering dropping McNair in favor of one of these guys on a hot streak or with a favorable matchup: Garcia @ DAL Losman vs TEN Smith vs ARI Which would you start in the final game?
