  1. Hey guys, I'm looking for some outside opinions on who to start week 1. Here's my team: QB: E Manning RB: CJ Anderson RB: B Bolden (Blount is out) WR: A Brown WR: Demaryius Thomas TE: Gronk FLEX: D Funchess D/ST: Texans K: C Parkey BENCH L Blount (SSPD) P Rivers Michael Floyd K Davis D Sproles Panthers D/ST R Hillman I'm pretty confident in Eli against Dallas, last year he put up 22 & 25 pts against the Cowboys. It is a road game though, and Rivers does play at home vs a downgraded Detroit defense. Who do you like here? I'm feeling 'iffy' about playing Bolden at my RB2 spot. My other options, Davis and Sproles, are both potential threats in the red zone and in the passing game. But I believe Bolden will get most of the workload Thursday night, hence why I have him starting. What do you guys think? My FLEX spot is my biggest concern. It looks like Funchess will be the 3rd receiver for week 1 for Carolina. So do I play Davis or Sproles? Or even Floyd (questionable)? Should I pick up Ginn or Philly Brown since they are the starters in Carolina? Lastly, Do I trust Houston's D against KC over Carolina's D vs JAC? Let me know what you guys think! Your opinions are appreciated.
  2. Team 1 (4-3) QB: Luck RB: L Miller, T Rich, D Martin, S Jackson WR: Megatron, Sanu, Ma. Floyd, D Baldwin, B Quick, R Wayne TE: D Walker D/ST: Eagles D, 49ers D K: Novak Team 2 (3-4) QB: Romo, Eli, Bridgewater RB: Lynch, Foster, Charles, Sankey, C Johnson, R Hillman WR: A Johnson, Beckham Jr, J Jones TE: D Allen, Rudolph D/ST: Vikings D K: Catanzaro We are in opposite divisions. I'm team 1. What do you guys think of the trade?
  3. T Richardson vs CIN B Quick vs SEA M Floyd vs KC M Sanu @ IND S Jackson @ BAL R Wayne vs CIN R Randle @ DAL P Thomas @ DET pick 4 to start (at least 1 RB)
  4. Standard Scoring League Luck vs CIN L Miller @ CHI T Richardson vs CIN B Quick vs SEA Megatron vs NO M Sanu @ IND D Walker @ WSH Bears D/ST vs MIA Novak vs KC BENCH D Martin *BYE S Jackson @ BAL R Wayne vs CIN P Thomas @ DET R Randle @ DAL M Floyd vs KC 49ers D/ST @ DEN I lost Cruz and Moreno for the season this week and so I dropped them both. This week, I play the first place team in my league and I need a big win (I'm 4-2, he's 5-1). Miller will start for me no doubt. T Rich has sat on my bench the past few weeks and he's starting to really produce. It's a toss up between him and Reggie Wayne and Reggie has had a slow season so far. It's not that great of a match up for either of them but I trust that this Colts offense will move the ball just fine. B Quick has a tough match up but I feel like the Rams will be throwing all day just like they did on Monday night. Quick only had 1 catch last week but I hope Davis looks his way more this week. I'm still kind of "iffy" about playing him. Megatron has the match up if he's healthy. I guess I'll have to monitor his status all week and then make a decision. Sanu seems like a good play again this week with how banged up that receiving core is. Do you like Bears D this week? Other two options I am considering would be Cowboys D vs NYG and Texans D @ PIT. I do have L Miller who is facing the Bears so a big day for Miller could take a few pts away from the Bears D. S Jackson has a tougher match up and just hasn't been producing unless he finds the end zone. Same with Reggie Wayne ^^^^^ What do you think about P Thomas this week @ DET? The Saints struggle on the road and both of Thomas's big games have come at home. So that's why I'm skeptical about starting him. But he could have a big game coming off the bye week, I just don't know if Brees can beat this defense on the road. With Cruz out, I grabbed Randle off the WW. I'm thinking of starting him over Quick this week. He should get a lot of targets as long as Eli is playing well. M Floyd has done better this year than most of my "marquee" WRs. It's noted that I am playing against Rivers this week and a big day for Floyd will limit Rivers' effect on our fantasy match up. It's a big week for me, HK. I played Sanu over Cruz last week and it got me the win, so thank you. What do you think this week?
  5. Standard Scoring League Luck @ HOU D Martin vs BAL L Miller vs GB K Wright vs JAC R Wayne @ HOU V Cruz @ PHI D Walker vs JAC 49ers D/ST @ STL Novak @ OAK BENCH Megatron @ MIN S Jackson vs CHI T Richardson @ HOU K Moreno vs GB B Quick vs SF P Thomas *BYE M Sanu vs CAR For the most part, I have some pretty favorable match ups this week. My uncertainty pertains to the RB and WR positions this week. I'll give you my take on what I think and I'll let you give me some input. By the way, good to have you back, HK. RBs I like Martin because he's one of my only backs that doesn't split carries (for the most part), he has just under-performed so far. I was really high on Miller this week until I found out Moreno might be healthy enough to play vs GB. I love the match up either way, but is Miller still a solid start? I have only started Jackson once this season (week 1), and it's tough because I am skeptical every week but at the same time I don't want to drop him. With a home game against the Bears, do you think he scores? (He's kind of a TD or bust play every week) I want to start Trent so bad every week but I haven't for two reasons: 1) Ahmad Bradshaw is healthy (we'll see how long that lasts) 2) I would be starting 3 Colts offensive players. I know they have a great offense this year, but how much can I rely on one team, you know? I don't see Moreno having an effective week (yet). I think he will see some time but I'm thinking (and hoping) Miller sees most of the workload, at least for this week. WRs I love the match up Wright has against the Jags at home. He seems to be playing well with both Titans QBs so far. I think if I'm going to start 2 Titans players, this would be the week to do it. I'm kind of "iffy" about starting Reggie Wayne, as I am every week. But as I said before, I love this Colts offense this year and its almost certain that Luck will connect with him at least a few times. Plus, the Luck-to-Wayne combo gives me (almost) double the points. Cruz is another "iffy" start for me every week. Especially this week with Beckham Jr coming back and having an impact last week. The Eagles made Austen Davis look like a stud last week and so I'm hoping Eli will have success as well. But there's a lot of targets on that offense and it worries me even though it's a great match up for Cruz. Megatron has flopped the past couple weeks and it looks like he won't have an impact if he does play this week. I'm very tempted to start Quick this week (over Wright, maybe?). Davis had a great game last week even though it was against a much softer defense. I do think the Rams will find themselves down the entire game and will probably be throwing all night. He has been their most consistent target. Plus, it's always nice to have someone playing on Monday night. The only thing is that I'm starting the 49ers D so if Quick has a big game, I will lose a few points for that. Considering AJ Green left practice on a cart today, Sanu becomes a much more considerable start. He has a pretty good match up as the Panthers have been completely unsuccessful in stopping AFC North opponents. (Antonio Brown, Steve Smith Sr) As you can see, I'm very undecided on who to play this week. Your input has helped me win a couple games this year so I'm hoping you have some good advice for me again. Let me know what you think. Thanks again, HK.
  6. I like both offers. Bengals D has quite a few favorable match ups the rest of the season. They play the likes of JAC and CLE at home. They also play TB on the road. Also, the AFC north offensively has been sort of inconsistent (besides the Bengals) so that creates a few more good match ups. The only weeks I'd say that defense is unplayable is @IND, @NO and vs DEN. Lions D has looked good so far, but they still have quite a few tougher match ups this year as well. And with the loss of Tulloch, I do not see them being a top 10 defense by the end of the year. I like T Rich going forward as well. Like I said, Bradshaw has only played one full season in his career so he has a good chance of going down at some point. That would leave the workload to Richardson, and the Colts backfield has been surprisingly effective, especially through the air. I also like Welker though. That could be a steal if he gets back to his full potential. Key word: "if". If you're not doing too bad this year and you feel like taking a shot, go for Welker. His upside is tremendous and if you're in a ppr league, he's an even better play. Losing Moreno won't hurt you too bad. If you get Richardson or Welker, they will suit you just fine as long as they are healthy. Personally, I like Richardson just because we've gotten a taste of what he can do so far this year. He's getting better week-to-week and the Colts offense looks unstoppable so far. Best of luck
  7. Quick has better match up and they will be throwing all day against Philly.
  8. I like Quick this week. I have him on my team as well. I have Cruz, Megatron, and Wayne so I'm not sure if I'll start Quick. STL should be throwing all day if they find themselves losing to Philly (which they probably will be). Quick is by far their most consistent target. Crabtree isn't a terrible play this week either. KC coming off a short week with a banged up D creates a favorable match up for Crab as well. Either way, I think both can produce but my gut would be telling me to start Quick
  9. I'm in an ESPN Standard Scoring League. Here is my situation this week. Luck vs BAL D Martin @ NO I Crowell @ TEN R Wayne vs BAL Megatron vs BUF Cruz vs ATL D Walker vs CLE Steelers D/ST @ JAC Novak vs NYJ BENCH L Miller BYE* S Jackson @ NYG 49ers D/ST vs KC T Richardson vs BAL K Moreno BYE* B Quick @ PHI L Taliaferro @ IND Who are my best options at the RB, WR, FLEX positions? Martin has a nice matchup, although it's a divisional road game that they will probably find themselves throwing often in. Crowell also has a favorable matchup, but its a toss-up between him and West (and Tate?) to have a big game. Trent Richardson (who isn't a consistent fantasy RB) scored 15 pts last week against this Tennessee defense. Steven Jackson is also facing a weaker defense, but his production just isn't there so I think he's a scratch. Richardson vs BAL, this one is tough for me. I like what he did last week. I'm keeping him so when Bradshaw goes down (He's only played one full season in his career), he won't have to split carries and can produce more. If I were to start him, I'd be starting 3 Colts offensive players. I don't know how I feel about that. I realize that they are among the hottest offenses in the NFL right now but can I expect consistent production from ALL 3? Taliaferro is the same situation as Crowell. Nice matchup, but there's 3 different RBs that could potentially have a big game. Forsett has been up and down all year (I started him on his 2 poor weeks) but I do believe that if a BAL RB finds the endzone this week, it will be Taliaferro. Finally, I'm pretty set on my 3 WRs. I'm just wondering if I should consider playing Quick over one of those guys. That's my input for this week, what do you guys think? I always like some sort of outside opinion. ALSO, I will be answering any questions you guys have about fantasy.. So ask away..
  10. Standard Scoring League Luck vs BAL D Martin @ NO I Crowell @ TEN R Wayne vs BAL Megatron vs BUF Cruz vs ATL D Walker vs CLE PIT D/ST @ JAC Novak vs NYJ BENCH L Miller BYE* S Jackson @ NYG 49ers D/ST vs KC N Paul vs SEA T Richardson vs BAL K Cousins vs SEA K Moreno BYE* I gotta love some of the match ups I have this week. What do you think about starting 3 Colts players this week (Luck, Wayne, Richardson)?? They each had good games last week and they have a home game against a slightly favorable match up. How do you feel about Crowell? Do you like him or West better vs TEN? How about Steven Jackson? There are a few players I'm looking to pick up off of the WW. B Quick (drop N Paul) K Davis (drop K Cousins) J Mckinnon (drop K Cousins) J Forsett (drop N Paul) L Taliaferro (drop N Paul) T West? R Helu? TY Hilton? Quick and/or Davis would be preferable, but some of those other backs have some potential upside. What do you think, HK?
  11. How do you feel about PIT D/ST vs Tampa Bay? I know they're pretty banged up but they have TB, JAC, and CLE over the next 3 weeks. I have 49ers D but I can't play them against Philly. I had Lions D/ST starting this week but I dropped them (regret?) for PIT because I love the Steelers' match ups coming up. What do you think?
  12. CONTINUED FROM KERLEY ANALYSIS.... this dude is (roughly) top 15 WR so far. P Thomas is available in my league as well
  13. Standard Scoring League Someone in my league dropped AP and I tried to grab him but I wasn't able to. Instead, the guy who got him dropped Moreno. I have Knile Davis on my bench, do I drop him for Moreno? I have Lamar Miller as well so I can sit Moreno for a few weeks until he's healthy. I'm pretty low on the WW so I'm not sure if I'll even get him but I think it's a great idea. My backs are D Martin T Richardson L Miller I Crowell S Jackson If I don't get Moreno, some other options to grab this week are: M Ingram (is it worth it to stash him until he's healthy?) B Quick J Forsett (Both PIT RB's absolutely crushed Carolina's D last week so I have a feeling Balti's RB's will do the same) A Hawkins (Pretty consistent receiver so far, just needs to find the end zone) J Kerley (I'm like him a lot. If that TD vs GB doesn't get called back because Rex called timeout, this dude is top Also, who do you like better? T Rich or R Wayne this week at flex. I also have Luck at QB. I think Wayne is due for a big game but I also think the Colts running game can tear up Tennessee's D. It's just a matter of which back gets the big play, Bradshaw or Richardson. It's been Bradshaw so far but it's only a matter of time before he goes down. I like both of them this week but my gut is telling me Richardson. What do you think?
  14. Standard Scoring League Luck vs TEN D Martin @ PIT L Miller @ OAK T Richardson vs TEN (flex) Megatron @ NYJ Cruz @ WSH N Paul vs NYG Lions D @ NYJ N Novak vs JAC BENCH S Jackson @ MIN R Wayne vs TEN 49ers D vs PHI B Rainey @ PIT T West BYE* K Davis vs NE K Cousins vs NYG I'm wondering who you think I should start at RB and flex. Megatron and Cruz have favorable match ups and are obvious locks. I'm iffy about Martin but I have Rainey on the bench if he doesn't play. How do you feel about Knile Davis this week? Do you like Richardson or Wayne better vs TEN? Is S Jackson a good play this week? I know he's the starter but every time I watch the Falcons get into the red zone, they start switching up the backs which takes away from Jackson's opportunities. I'm playing a guy who has several players on BYE (Manning, Julius Thomas, Fitz, and Stacy) so I'm pretty confident going into this week, but I always appreciate your opinion so let me know what you think!
  15. Standard Scoring League I was able to grab Knile Davis, do I start him? My RB situation looks like this L Miller vs KC B Pierce @ CLE D Martin @ ATL S Jackson vs TB B Rainey @ ATL J Forsett @ CLE T West vs BAL K Davis @ MIA As of now I am starting Miller, Pierce and which ever TB running back starts vs the Falcons (right now its Martin). With Moreno out, Miller should get most of the touches for Miami. Pierce has a good match-up but he also splits carries. Personally, I like Rainey but if Martin starts I think he will run all over ATL. Should I throw Davis in for Pierce? What do you think? Also, T Richardson, M Asiata, and P Thomas were all dropped this week. Should I drop Forsett for one of those backs?
