  1. You can't win in football without a decent offensive line. Ours has been terrible for the last few years. Hasselbeck does not usually improvise well, which he has been asked to do while running for his life. As tough as he is, he will most likely go down early to mid season, and hopefully Whitehurst is better than Lostman. To try and answer your question Super7, I think Whitehurst's performance surprised everyone and we're all now wondering if our new front office actually knew what they were doing with that trade. Reports have been saying he's not looking good, but my friends who've watched in camp say he's sharp and has good arm.
  2. There was not near the number of talented athletes on the field to compete with Hutson. Much easier for him to stand out. Sure he was the best of his time, but no way can anyone accurately estimate how he'd do in modern day football when there are far more athletes on the field. Yes, I realize players were "tougher back then" with their knocked out teeth and 60 minute play and holding down a full time day job. But that's more to the point. Less true athletes, less refined skill. Less competition. I'm quite surprised this is even a discussion. Was there a Deion Sanders or Darryl Green back in Hutson's day?

  4. There's some weight to this idea. Are teams allowed to change "inactive" status? Could the Cowboys deactivate Barber and reacivate Coleman just before kickoff?
  5. Gameday Inactives report is showing Ahmad Bradshaw is starting tonight. Does anybody know if this is true?
  6. Good points. I'm concerned about the Green Bay match up for AJ. Any other opinions??
  7. Need to start 2 of the 3, who should it be? Thanks for your input.. playoff time! Standard performance scoring.
  8. Just looking for a large group consensus. TJ could be the obvious, but none of these defenses know how to tackle. Dunn is dinged and so are all the NE RB's not named BenJarvus.

    Done.

2 of those 9 wins just slipped away.

The Seahawks' season is over. Thank you Holmgren for the best run in our short history. You did what you said you would do for this team.
  11. I'm sure I'll miss a few here, but basically the Seahawks enter Week 1 with: Branch out Engrahm out Heller out Locklear out O-lineman was begged to return from retirement We let Josh Clutch-boy Brown walk to a division rival Rookie TE Rocky and Babinoux (sp) suspended Julius F'n Jones backing up a back-up And Hass getting a shot in his back before the game just so he could play? And so we lose: the game, our only veteran WR (and the only bright spot on special teams left), our starting RB, our Right Tackle, and our punter? So we decide to make roster room for a veteran WR by dumping Kent and Forsett, leaving us TJ F*** a Duckett and Orange Rotten-Egg Julius as our only rostered RB's, Courtney Taylor and some Redskin hopeful at WR, our back up QB as punt returner and a buldging disc for QB1 ? Is Bennett involved in this somehow? I did read in the paper today that we are a 9 point favorite to the 49ers. What was it Zorn said after Thursday's game? "Just trying to see the glass half full. Actually I'm not sure there's any water in the glass." Somehow, we'll still finish on top of the NFC West. Maybe we'll play Romo in round 1. Is he still dating that ugly chick?
  12. Palmer looked terrible against the Seahawks. Haven't seen any of the game today. Is he still overthrowing his targets?
  13. I can't believe this issue lives, but I guess it shows that the Steelers championship is certainly tainted. As tainted as the Redskins Superbowl XXII championship (sorry Sky). It's not the Steelers fault, they played their game, but that ring don't shine like the rest and it's unfortunate to all.
  14. I know I know.. easier to say now. It just seemed simple to me, but it also seemed simple to me to avoid Gore the last two summers due to his crazy injury history.... so much that theory has done for me
