  1. Projected statistics are just from a defensive standpoint.
  2. So remember that we don't rank players based on whether we like them, etc... their rankings are determined entirely by their projected statistics. With Clinton-Dix and Burnett anchoring the safety spots last year for 15 of 16 regular season games, Clinton-Dix put up 74 solo tackles, 31 assists, a sack, a pick and nine pass deflections and he didn't even start six of those games. With Huddle scoring that landed him at 18 among DBs at the end of the season. I've projected that he'll get 7 more solo tackles, a few more assists, half a sack more, and a few more PDs. That lands him at #4 among projected DBs. Nothing to do with being high on him - just looking at the numbers and projecting that he'll do slightly better than his rookie season. It's as simple as that. But at the end of the day, I'm not a huge fan of DBs anyways...
  3. The IDP cheat sheets/rankings are based entirely off of stat projections. What that means is, unlike a lot of sites that just rank players arbitrarily based on opinion, ("I think Ninkovich will have a good season this year, better than Dunlap... but not better than Quinn") I spend a few weeks looking at each player, their system, how their team has changed, growth/regression, etc... to determine what they will do statistically. They are then ranked based on their projected final points.
  4. Hey rymck - I actually do the IDP projections/cheat sheets for The Huddle. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to best project what would happen with JPP this season, so here's the summary: He has stayed at #2 up until this point because all the information coming out of his camp was that his recovery was going well and the amputated finger would not impact his play. Several doctors and other DE's echoed the same thing. Additionally, the Giants have kept him on the roster and are looking like they will pay him, in spite of health concerns and attitude and salary conflicts. So, all signs point to a return to the Giants line. All of that being said, some concerning reports the past few days have indicated that his recovery is not going well at all, and has been significantly slower then anticipated. Which has people in the IDP world and the Giants concerned. Tonight/tomorrow morning's updated projections will reflect that, and will move JPP down. Thanks for the feedback - good luck.
