In all honesty, I think this idea would bring a renewed fanbase to the worst "all-star" game of the four major North American sports. Does anyone not think this "draft" would not be on prime time hours for ESPN, NBC, FOX?

In one of my locals the worst team each year has to wear a glittery apron with the words "Piss Boy" on it and serve everyone beverages & food during the draft the next year, while trying to draft their own team.

My wife was as well, I wasn't basically it's an episode to set up the storylines for the whole season. I seem to remember episode 1 last year being a little slow and/or "scattered" as well

very true, but when you combine the book plus less expense on actors/makeup it was pretty much a no brainer

+100000000000000000 my wife is the worst at this, and when she does finally go to get ready, I'll wait 10-15 minutes and go check on an ETA just to find her sitting at the computer playing around on Facebook. If it's a social thing, she doesn't even start getting ready until we're supposed to be there. I am and always have been a timliness freak(at times to a fault) and this drives me absolutely bananas!! Full Disclosure: She has to yell at me all the time about the lights on thing

I would assume they took that route because that's how they are in the books

As an ND fan, I'd rather see them remain independant. Seeing the post above that teams like Indiana make more from the B10 Network would make it seem like a no brainer for ND to join, they could work something out to make sure they're still on national TV every week. I'm wondering if they choose to remain independant because of their basketball squad. There's no doubt that ND is considered a "football school" but they are in THE power conference in BBall and still make a ton of cash from NBC for football, seems like the best of both worlds even if IND or PUR make more for the one sport. They certainly aren't going to join the Big East in football, but I doubt the Big 10 would let them join for football and remain in the Big East for BBall, so I'm not really sure what the incentive would be to join the B10 in football unless the 3 or 4 "super-conferences" are formed, making the BCS irrelevant, that would leave them out of any theoretical National Championship possibilities. And no, even as a diehard fan, I'm not saying a NC is realistic right now, but they surely won't let themselves be left out of the possibility.
