at home...I don't see why not. We hung pretty tough with you guys at home (of course with Lawson on the bench) so hopefully we can build on that. Our team is a different team with Lars back in the mix down in the paint. It'll be tough, but hopefully we can run with 'em

I'll stand proud for the ACC as well. Sorry my posts have been limited...I'm blocked from the site duing the week at work except on Tues. and Thur. I will say on behalf of the HOOS...with lasts night win over GT, it's nice to be out of the ACC cellar. Of course if this turns out to just be a NCAA tourney thread, it doesn't appear I'll have much to offer as the HOOS are OUT this year and have been for some time. VIG...good to see you in hoops thread again, you've been absent for awhile.

Billay...I'd wish you good luck tonite, but since your playing the worst conference team I'm guessing you don't need any. this has been a miserable season and I'm trying my best not to be fair-weather, but it's hard. I'll watch tonight anyhow, cuz' thats what fans do. At least I've gotten used to not getting my hopes, so the sting isn't as bad as it was the first few conference games. Carolina and -10 seems like easy money to me.

Many thanks for the condolences, and congrats to your dookies for being undefeated in conference! As I noted earlier, UVA again had a 10 point lead against GT and again blew it !!! 3rd time in 4 games. We may not win 4 games in conference this year. 5 of next 7 are on the road and it is now looking like our only post players going in to the season (Lars and Tunji) are possibly out for the season! Effin' great! I'm a glutton for punishment (what UVA fan isn't) as I'll keep watching and hoping for something to give!

Cav's are writing the book this year on "How to blow a 10 point lead" Second time in 3 games they've done it. Amazing they are 3 points away from being 3-1 in conference play vs. now 1-3. Singletary should gone to the draft last year! I think he is only hurting himself with the way things are playing out right now!

Let's not get ahead of ourselves....We're 0-2! we'll be 0-3 this Saturday when BC comes to CVILLE. (depending on which teams show up) Not that we shouldn't be able to hold our own, but some injuries I believe are starting to make an impact. Specifically Lars and Tunji, who really are our best paint players, especially on defense, not so much on offense. I have no idea what the time frame for them to return is either. As I've said before, there doesn't seem to be any offensive game plan right now. Singletary brings it up court, they pass around the perimeter looking for screens and then launch it. No ONE is helping Singletary right now either. the other starters, which one would expect some support from (Diane, A. Joseph, Mike Scott and Baker) were a combined 10 for 40 last night . This lack of offensive cohesiveness is killing them. they had a 9 point lead in the contest with I think around 7 or so minutes to play. Good teams close the deal (Duke vs. FSU, UNC vs. GT), Bad teams fold like house of cards. Of course last year there was equal opportunity for fan meltdown, from the Puerto Rico disaster and we did start 1-2 in conference play before reeling off 7 straight. However, given what I've seen thus far, I won't be holding my breath! Nice win last night billay, and sorry for the rant!!!

HOOS= very,very BAD. Pathetic to never even really be in the game! Might win 6 conference games this year! they look so confused as to what to do with the ball on offense and break down after break down on D. although as Gillen once said..."Duke is Duke!" so we got that goin' for us! Oh and sorry Wildcat! Because of such tragic play recently that win we pulled out earlier seems to hurt your cats more than it helped us!

What an awful game for the HOOS! Perimeter passing for 30 seconds and then with 5 seconds left on the shot clock, hurl it up from 10-15 feet beyond the 3pt line. The lack of any paint play is going to be our achilles heel this year. They looked just awful!!! Also, too bad Singletary's 5 missed free throws lost the contest for us since he is, or should I say was a 90%+ FT shooter.

The Hoos get a formidable test at home against syracuse. Cuse allowed a ton of points to Umass so you can be sure they've been working on their D. The guard matchup should be pretty good with the veteran Singletary against Cuse's frosh Johnny Flynn. The Hoos will struggle to mathcup in the paint and that will be probably be the recurring theme until Soroye comes back from his knee injury and that's still not saying much. Look for alot of 3 balls to fly from the Hoos and hopefully their shooting touch is what it was against Northwestern...16 3's made!! Here's to the Hoos representing the ACC well against the big east. yea,....where is PD???

It was hard this year for my teams not to resemble one another. In 4 leagues (one 12 team, the rest 10), I had the 8th, 9th, 9th and 10th picks. Rudi wound up on 3 of those 4 teams!

then I have wanted next season since about week 4!!!
