  1. This is TRULY ridiculous!!! So the media really does suck. Now I hate ESPN's NFL Live. Okay, so the 'Opening Drive' segment is focused on the lack of respect for the Seahawks. So what do they do? They start of the show talking about the f*cking Steelers and interviewing a few players, blah blah blah. Then they finally start talking about the Seahawks. What do they say? Oh yeah, these guys (Seahawks) are good. Look at their stats and who they have on their team. The spend like 5 minutes at most on this and the go RIGHT BACK to the Steelers and show MORE highlights on the Steelers. I seriously hope the Steelers lose. I really, really do. I do NOT want to see Bettis celebrate with his family. I don't know why...it's just annoying.
  2. Everytime I turn on the TV, surf the web, and listen to sports radio programs (Mike and Mike in the Morning, etc), all I hear is Steelers this and Steelers that. Mike and Mike spend close to 30 minutes breaking down the Steelers/Broncos game, but spend like 2 minutes on the Seahawks. Plus everyone seems to have a hard-on about Ben Rothleisberger. I hope the Steelers flop big time, so people can say how 'great' the Seahawks are and how 'great' that they 'dismanted' and 'disected' the Steelers defense. On how they confused the Steeler's QB and how he is only a second year player, EVEN though they currently say how poised and accurate he is against the Broncos. Which by the way, the Broncos had no business being the #2 seed in the AFC.
  3. I still don't know how Mike Tice became an NFL headcoach!
  4. I think the fact that there has been NO coverage on this by ANY legitimate sports source (ESPN, CNNSI, Sporting News) I think this 'rumor' is completely false. Even if the Bengels officials were somehow able to keep things under wraps, you know players will talk and it will get out to the media. Also, regardless of Chad Johnson's antics on the field with TD celebrations, you don't see the NFL fining him 'as much'. Sure the pylon incident got him a fine, but that's probably because he used a pylon! Other than that, I think he does things in good nature and unlike T.O. From what I have followed of Chad, he is one of the hardest workers on that team. I remember seeing a report on how he basically slept at the training facilities and worked with the coaches all the time honing his craft.
  5. No offense, but Ray Lucas came from Rutgers and I don't even put Schaub and Lucas in the same category. Schaub has shown 'more' than Lucas for sure.
  6. Alright, Not too much on Marcus Vick entering the Draft as Vince Young is getting all the headlines. So what do you guys think of Marcus Vick going into the Draft? With all his legal baggage (the NFL 'hates' that) and character issues, I think he will be draft somewhere after round 3, maybe in round 4, but definitely later than round 3. He's barely started 25 games overall and I don't think proved as much as other top QBs. He's living off his brother's rep (and I am not sold on Michael Vick) and I think both Vicks are overrated.
  7. I've read somewhere that the Patriots have nothing really to play for. In that case, how much time do you think they will play Dillon? Considering he has been injured this season, do you think Belicheck will rest Dillon in a meaningless game?
  8. Maybe Holmgren wanted to give a gift to the Seattle fans by letting Alexander score the TD at home vs at Green Bay next week? I don't care why he let Alexander in. I'm just glad he scored the TD for a win. Besides, the Colts could have stopped him. It's been done before. I still think Strahan's season sack record was more cheese.
  9. I don't think it's a cheap way for Alexander to get a record. I wonder how many 1-yard TD runs Holmes had to get to 27. I still think it was smart for Holmgren to let Alexander get a 'guaranteed' TD vs next week if Green Bay somehow stops him from scoring (yeah right). Then all you would hear about is how Holmgren screwed Alexander again. Besides, I think Strahan getting the season sack record the way he did was CHEAP!
  10. I know there is one more game next week and the way the Seahawks are playing, there is a great chance for Alexander to have gotten his 1 TD to tie and another to break it, but this IS the NFL. Alexander could get hurt early next week or not even score. At that point, do you REALLY think Alexander would re-sign to play for Holmgrem after he screwed him the year before for the rushing title? Oh yeah, in the end, I won my league championship by 5 points (thanks again for cheese TD, since I would have LOST by 1 point). That's $1,100 in the bank!
  11. yeah in my league championship, I went up against Ricky Williams AND Clinton Portis. With our scoring system, they both scored 26 points each, but here is an equalizer like no tomorrow. His name? Shaun Alexander!! I'd like to thank Mike Holmgrem for putting in Alexander for that cheese TD in the final minutes. In the end, it came down to either winning $200 for second place or $1,100 for first place. Oh yeah, I won by 5.
  12. I'm sure most of you are able to watch the Seahawks/Colts game since it is being televised nationally (I am assuming of course), I'm sure all you Alexander owners wanted Phil Simms to shut the hell up about not putting in Alexander again. I usually like Phil Simms, but I wanted to take a pipe to his knees for what he was saying. I would buy an Alexander jersey, but I've been burned by players who sign the next year with some other team (ala, Clinton Portis). Now what am I going to do with a Denver Broncos jersey with a Portis name on it?
  13. Man, I was SCREAMING at the tv set. Thank god Holmgren put his ass in there. I bet he was thinking, if I don't put him in there, there is NO way he is going to re-sign with us! That put me up 6 over my competitor. All he has left is Collins and Rackers. I have Hasselbeck, Alexander, Engram (BUST, should have started Moulds), and Vanderjegt (blocked field goal?!?!)
  14. I'd say with your choices, I'd stay with James? Is there no one else you can go with? With all those injuries out there this week, there has to be SOMEONE to play Crockett? Faulk? Worse comes to worse, I'd go with Bettis since he gets those cheese TDs.
  15. I'm facing a similar situation. I have Edge and I don't know if I should start him. I picked up Rhodes like three weeks ago just for insurance. The big question is how much all the regular starters will play. Since the Colts have nothing to play for, I can't see much action for them. The Seahawks will be playing all out since they are playing for home-field advantage. I am really considering bench Edge. My choices to replace him are: Rhodes Wells M. Faulk Any idea who you might replace him with? My other starter is Rudi Johnson Thanks
