  1. The whole thing imploded. 7 team managers bailed.
  2. I cant exactly recall but I think I've been around here since 1998. So much has happened since then. On another note the FF league I helped found and have been in since 1995 just disbanded. Its the only league I have ever played in. Its really sad.
  3. This is brilliant. I was so bummed because I hated both teams and was resolved that I wasn't going to watch the Superbowl. However, armed with this logic I can truthfully say that I would be very happy to see the SeaChickens lose and don't care about the winner.
  4. Been playing this since its inception and the closest I ever got was #7, or was it #14....I cant remember exactly but remember I was pretty close. So close to the socks! Most times I'm right in the middle of the pack. About this time each year I realize that the only way to win this thing is that you have to pick the wildcard team (and start all its players) that will make it to the Superbowl (assuming a wildcard team makes it that far) because that team will play 4 times. Of course that's just part of the formula. However I seem to forget that and when I'm setting my line up, it seems so unlikely that a wildcard team would make it to the superbowl. I mean come on, who really thought that IND was going to beat DEN other than IND homers?!? I saw spreads as high as +9.5 for IND with over/under at 46 pts. I'm a big Luck fan and rooting or him to take it all. DOWN W/ THE SEACHICKENS!
  5. A local SF Bay Area radio show is going on and on how Tomsula looks like Ron Jeremy. All the interviews with the local sports writers are bashing Tomsula as a HC. I hope it works out and don't have a good feeling about it. I will feel much better about it if he 49ers hire a kicka$$ OC.
  6. 49ers also signed Brandon Llyod. Not saying he will be an impact player 2014, but he will add veteran depth.
  7. What I like about this is that when you add Boldin to the mix of V Davis and M Crabtree it complements the 9ers quite well assuming the new kid on the block (Jenkins) can provide any consistentcy as a down field threat. I think this all hinges on how far along Jenkins has come because otherwise the 9ers will just have another big, slow, hands guy (like Crabtree).
  8. I really have no idea. With all due respect, I will just assume that your a nut job and see things that only you can see.
  9. Sorry to pester. I also checked my roster and should have 24 still left. Maybe I have the Tamme conundrum too? As long as its correct on your official list Im good. Thanks so much for administering this game. I dream about winning the tube socks everynight.
  10. Has anybody read David Dorey's book "Fantasy Football: The Next Level"? If you have then I'm hoping to get some input. So I run my 2011 LAG and QBs scored much more than RBs until their LAG lines intersect around #11. Meaning, the top 6 QBs scored much than the top 6 RBs and then the top 7 thorugh 11 QBs scored slightly better than the top 7 through 11 RBs. In the past, the best 3 or 4 RBs would score a little more than the first couple QBs and then the QB and RB LAGs would intersect and mirror each other starting around #6. My leagues scoring system was set up so QB, RB, and WR have pretty equal values but in 2011 the QB numbers completely blew up. Back in 2009 we adjusted our scoring systems to take points away from QBs and add points to RBs and WRs as we noticed a trend that the QBs were outscoring all other positions dramatically. This 2009 scoring adjustment worked great so that team managers with early picks were not at an advantage over team managers with later round picks. I hear all the time that this is a QB driven league and more teams are moving to RBBC and thought that we had made the proper scoring adjustments. My question is: Do you think this is the start of a trend that the top QBs will be scoring similarly as they did in 2011, or do you think that 2011 was a fluke year?
  11. With MJD is there any "weight" to the fact that holdout RBs that dont go to training camp take several games to get into "game shape" AND during that time there is greater chance of injury.
  12. I am so skeptical that (S)Cam Newton can duplicate his 2011 performance this year. I just dont believe that anybody can put up an NFL record then duplicate it the next year. If I take away 11 of his rushing TDs (so that he is only projected for 5 rushing TDs) and scale back his rushing yardage by approx. 25% (from approx. 700 yds to 500 yds) he is still ranked the 6th best QB in my leagues scoring system. Around 6th best QB appears correct to me for 2012. I see that The Huddle has him ranked 5th. I see Cam has an ADP on My Fantasy League of approx. 4th QB taken. This to me such a leap of faith.
  13. So Forte just signed with the Bears. Will Forte or Bush to be the bell cow in Chicago? Will there even be a bell cow?
  14. OK. I have renewed and received a confirmation email. But now cant login anymore. I am using the correct Login and password however the website tells me my membership has expired. The odd thing about this is that when I go Account Help Tools and login in (using the last 4 digits of my CC #) I am able to access my Account info and it tells me that I have a current subcription...however when I use the link to go back top the Huddle home page it tells me my subscriptions has expired. This is not meant to be a bi*ch fest...just letting "Carl" know whats happeing. ++++++++++++++++++ OK. All good now. Not sure what changed in the last 15 minutes but I am able to login now. I can tell you I deleted any cookies and history related to the Explorer favorite on my menu bar and then was able to login....but dont know if that is the reason it works now.
