  1. Ben is probably safer but I'd personally take the risk with Luck.
  2. i might go with dhb. i have stewart on a team as well and am not putting him in this week.
  3. same thing happened to me at my desk a few months ago. then my eyesight started fluttering as if i were viewing everything by looking through hummingbird wings. funny thing was i didn't have a headache at the time, but that night once i got home had the worst headache of my life. scary stuff. hasn't happened since.
  4. Just giving you my perspective. If there are numbers to validate what type of fans they are losing, then that would make it easier. I can see where it seems boring to most, and I have thought so for the past few years. It wasn't always like that. I have always hated Indy racing because the cars were so tweaked and you'd see about 5 passes a day. I would much rather watch a dirt or drag race at this point than NASCAR.
  5. in my mind, it's become such a science that your regular guy can't relate anymore. the sport started by bringing what you had to the track, driving the wheels off it, and improving the car more than the other guys. sprinkle in a little cheating, and it was nothing that you or i couldn't do in our garage on the weekends. now it's a science being dominated by the teams that have the most cars and therefore the most data. the cars are spec'd, although guys like knaus still find ways to cheat, and the tracks are smooth. the races have become dull and boring unless there are 43 cars crammed onto a half mile. also, each week, about 5-10 teams race 10 laps and pull off the track. i still follow nascar because i'm a redneck at heart and i grew up watching with my dad, but i don't get excited much anymore. each sunday, if i think about it, i'll flip over to watch a little bit or pick up the last 30 laps. it's a crapshoot whether there will be racing going on or a leader ahead of the field by 9 seconds.
  6. Thank you for the info. I'm ok with that price. The good news of the day is my A/C was just a capacitor and only put me out 200. Heck of a lot better than a couple grand.
  7. Indeed. That fact alone always gets me through the rough patches. Had it been a spare tire, you would've been my first contact.

    Car guys

We've got a 2005 Jeep Liberty that is really starting to annoy me. Last year, the engine blew at 65000 miles. That was fun. Right now, I noticed just a few drips on my garage floor. Looked like oil, but maybe a hair ligther, dripping from the plate right under where the driver's feet would be. Since I just had the oil changed, I checked the plug and all was well. So I took it in to the garage (where they had also changed the transfer case fluid) and they said everything looked fine. They washed everything off for me and I told them I'd take a look in a few days. Drips. So looking underneath, it looks like there might be a small leak where the drive shaft meets what I'm assuming is the front differential. It just looks wet. I looked around on Jeep sites and people were saying a possible pinion seal? 1. Would this area have been taken apart during the new engine process? (I'm guessing no but it might be covered if it was.) 2. Is it possible it's related to the transfer case flush? 3. If I'm on the hook, what am I looking at for repairs? Oh, and last night my A/C at my house went out. Fantastic!
