  1. I drafted Ivory and hope he pays off now...but the Bengals are a tough matchup if you need him this week.
  2. So Bradford goes down two weeks before I need him for my primary QB Stratford. Won't even get started on my Julio Jones and Arian Foster troubles... I need a QB for Week 9. I'm looking at J. Locker vs. Rams(18 against pass), A. Smith vs. Bills(22), and J. McCown vs. Packers(28). Performance scoring. McCown seems to have the best matchup, but will they pass or keep it on the ground with a backup QB? Smith doesn't get TDs often and scores moderately. Locker seems to have the best upside if he's healthy. Suggestions?
  3. I'd use Havner if he's playing. Find out for sure. Otherwise, Davis looks good. Typically, Bengals have a difficult time holding down good tight ends, but Heap isn't doing much so it's risky. That said, I wouldn't be surprised to see him get a touchdown. The guy to drop looks obvious to me - Kina. Why is he even on your roster?
  4. I'd do the trade. As pointed out, Hightower catches as many or more than Marshall, typically gets about the same yards, and both have near the same touchdowns. Plus the rest of the year Marshall is facing several strong passing defenses, and Hightower is going against weak passing defenses that might help his yards in the passing game.
  5. I've been offered Tomlinson for Thomas. Thomas is sharing carries, but he's doing well with what he's got and there are some good matchups coming his way. LT may be getting over injuries/illness, so does he have an upside or is he just getting old and his best days are over?
  6. Maybe I can trade him for V. Davis before that owner reads the news...
  7. I agree the upcoming schedule for Ciny looks good for a chance at the playoffs.
  8. I wonder why the Bengals didn't put Foschi into the game since Coats couldn't catch anything, especially on passing downs. He seemed to play well in the preseason. Maybe Coats is a better blocker. Interesting how the Bengals picked up a long snapper from Houston. Coincidence?
  9. I've got Garrard and Palmer. I thought about starting Garrard after Palmer's bad day at Baltimore, but Garrard's got three linemen out. In your case, though, Pittsburgh's blitzing may eat up Anderson, so I'd go with Garrard. i don't think Buffalo's defense is as aggressive. In my case, I'm going with Palmer because he played well against Tennessee last year with a more beat-up line. On the other hand, I WANT Cleveland to do well because I only have two receivers and Andre Johnson's game got cancelled. My other is Braylon Edwards....
  10. I got Chad Johnson for Moss after week 1 based on the talk it was a one-time thing, and he'd tank later. Guess not... I drafted Moss 1st pick, 5th round.
  11. Thanks all. I just still have a bad taste in my mouth because Alexander and Brown were my keepers last season and I got burned.
  12. I can keep up to two players from last year, with each taking my first and second picks in the draft. I'll likely keep two RBs, and the three I'm considering are S. Alexander, R. Brown, and M. Jones-Drew. On the face of it, I'd consider Alexander and Brown, but last years points were 74, 71, and 145 in order. So, Jones-Drew total matched Alexander and Brown combined. Which pair should I keep? 1 pt. 20yds, 6 pts TD.
  13. I'd pick the Cincy defense in a flash. The D should be improved and evidence was the limiting of L. Johnson to under 100 yds. They also seem to be able to generate turnovers lke last year.
  14. I watched both the Miami and KC games. Culpepper didn't look too hot, but Green seemed to suffer from a conservative offensive philosophy(it was raining, but they were behind). I'm thinking Culpepper will improve and Green won't produce like he has in past years. Either way, McNair may be your starter.
  15. I'm thinking that Johnson should be able to score (fantasy) as well as Pennington but less risk. I don't thnk Carr would be good based on last year and I don't see improvements there in the off season. Smith could be interesting. I wish I had roster space to get him and wait.
